I've seen people suggest he's doing something weird with Connection, even more involved theories about having a plan stored in a Coppermind. We still don't know how Luck works after all.

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
Master_Moridin replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Is the frost that forms when someone Surgebinds the same thing as what we would call frost? -
Not to mention, the way Nightblood talks to people telepathically involves bonds
-
Well that's just because Splinter refers to the end product. The total Splintering of a Shard and a Shard intentionally Splintering a small part of themselves both end up with self-aware pieces of Adonalsium's power. It's like someone shaving your head and you cutting off a single-lock of your own hair. Both end up with clumps of hair on the ground.

Speculation About Frost’s Role in the Shattering
Master_Moridin replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
"It is not unreacheable from Shadesmar due to a total lack of cognitive activity there" That's saying that a lack of cognitive activity isn't the reason it can't be reached- 33 replies

I think I see where some of the confusion might be. Investiture as a term can apply to roughly two very different things. 1) Investiture as substance and power of creation. This is the stuff souls, Breaths, Stormlight, and Shards are made of. There's a WoB that in the Spiritual Investiture has a consistent form regardless of source. 2) Investiture as term for a magic system The various ways different peoples spiritwebs/souls (Investiture(1)) are wired/composed determines the types of Investiture(2) they have access to. (and sidenote, the reason some people can use Allomancy and others can't is because they have more Preservation in them than others)

Why Time bubbles change bullet flight paths
Master_Moridin replied to Bowiespoon's topic in Mistborn
Speed bubbles are so wonk. We've gotten a number of explanations for how lots of it works (using the Cognitive aspects of the objects it intersects to determine what its position is anchored relative to, relative motion of objects entering and leaving, etc) And yet, bullet deflection still eludes us. Where's Kurkistan with one of their speed bubble explanations when ya need them -
The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon

I expect a RAFO on this one but it's just one I find interesting Does the way Hoid uses Feruchemy to know where to go involve a coppermind? -
It's actually about the Spiritual
-
I'm having a hard time parsing this, but from what I'm getting all the ideas on the Cognitive realm seem really cool. When you bring up Shards though, you seem to ignore the existence of the Spiritual Realm and that Shards exist in it primarily. Hopefully someone that can put words to screen on this better will come along.

Here be quote in quote form

If you need a direct quote there's a script Moogle made http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/22613-a-tool-to-copypaste-from-theoryland-more-easily/

You could probably make some sort of allomantic nuke doing something like that... A chain of powerful nicrobursts culminating in bursting a large-ish chunk of steel...

I wonder if it's directly affecting his body's ability to generate force. When he taps mass his body starts generating enough force to keep from collapsing in on itself, but not enough to make moving as easier as before, and when he stores the force his body outputs drops to a point it makes doing something like a pull-up more difficult, but not enough to make moving around difficult. So like, if he taps 2x mass, he generates 1.3x force and if he stores 0.5x mass, he generates 0.7x force? (just to put some vague unfounded numbers there)

Entirely possible Cosmere healing involves converting Investiture into matter. -
speculation [Bands spoilers] Healing (and other) Cubes
Master_Moridin replied to Kadrok's topic in Mistborn
The cube wasn't used for reducing the plane's mass though. The dude from SoScad (I am so blanking on his name) had Wax charge it with Allomantic Steel to power the propellers. -
I think this is where we're misunderstanding each other. Burn length being a function of mass is not the same as burn length being a function of density. Burn length being a function of density would mean that if you have two beads of equal mass but one has a smaller volume, then the smaller bead would burn longer. And the quote we have mentions density. We honestly just need more clarification in the form of a full quotation.

Sazed bubbles, and maybe a third thing.
Master_Moridin replied to Topaz's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Brandon has a tendency to use Shadesmar to refer to the Cognitive Realm as a whole, even though he's also said it refers specifically to Roshar's part of the Cognitive Realm. And there's nothing in that quote about distance from Scadrial to Roshar not being compressed??
