  1. Yerik shielded, holding his hands up defensively. "Just me!" he said, then realized the shield blocked his voice. He coughed and lowered it. "Just me. We were going to talk about what to do now."
  2. Yerik took a deep breath and shook Miyako slightly.
  3. The pair sat in awkward silence for a minute or so. Finally Yerik sighed and walked over to Miyako. "Uh, hey," he began. @Ookla the Kobold
  4. Nodice looked at his cards again and sighed. "Scrap", he answered, tossing his cards into the middle. "So nobody really knows what happened?"
  5. "What can I say? I like the way they rattle." "Welcome, welcome!" said Nodice, dealing Tantyck in. "Always welcome." He finished dealing the cards and took a peek at his own. A red six and a red nine. He repressed a sigh - gotta keep that sabacc face - and turned to Dacken. "So," he asked. "What's been going on with comms? I've heard all sorts of things, half of which are too outlandish to believe."
  6. "Maybe we should wake up Miyako," suggested Yerik, chomping on another pebblefruit.
  7. Anikel frowned. "What kind of timescales are we talking about here?" @Ookla the Myopic Yerik tossed one of the pebblefruit in the general direction of Hyron, spitting out the pit of his own off to one side. He sighed, sitting down on a collapsed wall. "Soooo... what now?"
  8. "Correllian Spike," replied Nodice, pulling his spike dice out of his pocket and shaking them for luck. "Anyone else?" he called.
  9. Yerik rolled over on the pile of bedding he'd collected and stared at the wall for a few minutes. Finally he sighed and pulled himself to his feet. One of the baskets the Nameless had brought lay at the doorstep. Yerik stumbled his way over and munched on one of the fruits. His eyes widened in surprise. "Hey, this is good!"
  10. Yerik squinted. "Uh, right there, I think?" Anikel chewed on his lip. "Well, that's good news and bad news."
  11. Nodice shuffled his deck. It was a nervous habit of his, and he was certainly nervous now. People seemed to have moved past his sudden outburst yesterday, but he still wasn't sure they trusted him. Well, maybe a game or two of sabacc would fix that up. He had some extra money he could afford to lose to lighten the mood a little bit. Wouldn't do him too much good if he were dead, after all. He inched over to the person sitting next to him and shuffled his deck a little bit louder in an unspoken invitation. -- Anyone up for a game of sabacc with Nodice? While this is a compelling theory, I don't know if I believe it. Also @Ookla the Tall if you are not voting Shining for that reason why are you voting them?
  12. Anikel frowned. "What does that mean?" The stars shone brightly overhead in the darkness of the moon as the last vestiges of the storm blew away. In the darkness, a figure moved. Swift, cloaked in black, they were all but invisible. They paused at the entrance to the abandoned house, watching intently. Almost without thought, they extended their hand- then snatched it back, shaking their head. "Good night," they whispered, so quiet it would have barely been audible even if there had been anyone awake to hear it. Then they turned and hurried back the way they had come. -- Yerik yawned, blinking confusedly in the sudden sunlight.
  13. "So," said Anikel, deep in thought, "if we get far enough away from the forest we're out of reach of these 'gods', correct?" "Can we sleep first?" asked Yerik in a tired voice. "We can talk about stuff in the morning."
  14. Gatherer shook his head and began to walk off. He paused a few steps away, then turned back. "By the way," he commented. "The Queen will likely send for you at some point, once she realizes you're here. Just thought you should know."
  15. Gatherer sighed, rubbing his temples. "Yes. I'll do my best to forget it. But... you do realize the Queen is... well... a queen, right? She's got a whole army on her side."

  17. (It would seem we have reached an Impasse!) Hmm. What if we voted Turtle instead (Szeth)
  18. Jedi Knights had better not die. Having Force Sense is a pretty good deal, definitely do not sleep on that. A Force Sense apprentice would be awesome but I don't know if we can count on that. With the duel, doesn't performing it immediately reveal oneself to the other faction? I'm having trouble seeing where it would be a mechanical benefit. (From a player standpoint, it would be hecka cool and I really hope it happens.) The Sith... wow, that's a lot of vote manip. Maybe now I see why a duel might be useful. Also, am I reading the rules correctly where if one of the Sith dies, a cultist can take their place? xinoehp512 (2): Ashbringer, Fifth Scholar Ookla the Omniscient/Szeth (3): Haelbarde, Ookla the Tall/Matrim, xinoehp512 Alvron (1): DrakeMarshall JNV (1): Ookla the Myopic/Wizard ookla the POKE VOTE/Turtle (1): Ookla the Debonair/Silhouette Ookla the Debonair/Silhouette (1): Ookla the Perpetual/Bookwyrm (By the way, Szeth. My apologies, but Nodice really doesn't want to die. :P)
  19. From the bar, a snore rose into the air. Loud, long and sonorous, it went on for at least ten seconds before giving way to blessed silence. Then it happened again. A few heads turned, seeking out the source. They found it in one Nodice Rambler. The man slumped with his head sideways on the table, dice scattered about him, drool pouring from his open mouth. As more and more eyes turned, another snore rumbled out, this one somehow even louder than the first. The person sitting next to him coughed. No response. They cleared their throat. No response. Finally, someone got up and gave the snoozing spacer a good poke in the rear. Nodice immediately sprung up, expression panicked, eyes whirling around in confusion. "Where am I? Whas' going on? It wasn't me, I swear!" He became suddenly, acutely aware of every eye on him. He gulped. "Uh," he stammered. "Anyone up for a game of sabacc...?"
  20. K. I am more alive now! I was out of my house for the last week, so I couldn't take advantage of my newly restored computer connection. Hopefully I should be more active. This was for the purposes of creating a tie (well, at least, I thought it did). Interestingly I think it was the first real push in the cycle for ties, though it wasn't explicit. This vote I was pressuring Wizard. I think I mentioned why earlier- this was because of the repeated random voting. Yeah. For all my support of ties earlier in the cycle, I don't think insisting upon it at EoD is the best option. Alvron I don't know if I can read, but Elkanah to me reads as an Elim trying to blend in. Xino (1): Stick Stick (1): Archer TUN (1): Kas Tomorrow I'll see if I can review the thread so far to glean further insights.
  21. Gatherer laughed. "Yeah, that would be nice, wouldn't it...?" He trailed off. "Wait. You're serious?"
  22. "That is what happens to people who anger the Queen," answered the Second Elder. "Their names have been removed, along with every last trace of their identity."
  23. "I work with them," Gatherer jerked a thumb towards the Nameless, "to grow food."
  24. Gatherer sized up the three newcomers. "Welcome to the Nameless Isle." He extended his hand. "I presume you already know about keeping your name a secret?"
