  1. Lift's ability to acquire Stormlight from food (and inability to access it the normal way) comes from her boon/curse from the Nightwatcher.
  2. I like your theory. However, I think that the quote about the Stormfather is in reference to him having merged with Tanavast's cognitive shadow, not that he was created via human thought. We know that the Stormfather predated the arrival of humans to Roshar.
  3. I've never notice that before. While not as interesting as a conspiracy, I would guess that it came from the other Heralds and their respect for his sacrifice. Urithiru is located in the center of Roshar, very near the Valley, as seen on the map from Oathbringer. Brandon has actually address this directly, and has also said that there is a non-binary spren coming in the next book (likely the Sibling). This could be a new ability, or it could be that the information in the epigraph was wrong. Historical documents from Roshar are frequently unreliable.
  4. @Ripheus23 Why do you think that the number of Realms is important? There are always going to be 3 Realms on all of the planets. There are clearly 3 systems on Scadrial. However, while Sel's and Roshar's are ambiguous/unknown, it's pretty clear that Nalthis only has a single magic system.
  5. That was Progression, the other surge of Truthwatchers.
  6. Although it hasn't been confirmed directly, most of the evidence points toward the "special numbers" relating to planets/systems, not Shards (e.g. this WoB). Additionally, Cusicesh is "a level below" the Nightwatcher/Stormfather, so it would be strange to group them together.
  7. The Heralds were powered directly by Honor, so even though the Honorblades are less efficient, the Heralds had access to raw levels of power that no Radiant could obtain
  8. It's been confirmed by Brandon that the Cryptic that was scouting Elhokar is the same one that Hoid rescued:
  9. Remember that there were 3 deity-related codenames. So at least 2 are also Voidbringer-related (I would hazard Vorinism and The Everstorm). I would also agree with Dalinar/Jasnah.
  10. Brandon has said that he doesn't view Ruin as particularly evil. Also, here is the WoB about Ati and entropy (plus, recall that Hoid describes him as once being a "kind and generous man").
  11. Wow. That's a lot of Voidbringers. By my count there are 11 Roshar-specific agents: The Everstorm, Dalinar, Sureblood, Vorinism, Glyphs, Yeddaw, The Shattered Plains, Jasnah, The Ghostbloods, The Nightwatcher, and Kholinar. I think the strongest associations are: The Everstorm (origin of the Voidspren), Dalinar/Jasnah (who fight/are Voidbringers), The Shattered Plains, and Kholinar (conquered by Voidbringers). Other options are: Vorinism (Voidbringers are a part of the religon), Yeddaw (city in Tashikk, where the Voidbringer news came from/may be under Voidbringer control). There are only 7 blue agents left, so the last one may be a Deity-related one (or all 3 of those may be overlapping with the Voidbringer clue). What do you guys think?
  12. Shardblades only cut spiritually for living beings. For non-living objects (e.g. a planet), it would just cut physically. If you were to slice through the entire planet, nothing would happen, as gravity would keep the two halves pressed together.
  13. I would associate Ambition and Vorinism most closely with worship/religion. However, deities would seem to refer to a being, so only Ambition, Patji, and the Nightwatcher would fit from that perspective. I think that the Everstorm is a stretch.
  14. Is this the one you're referring to? If so, it seems to me that Brandon is saying that the Mists were actually actively Investing them to turn them into Mistings, not just Snapping them normally. So his comment that "Making someone a Mistborn takes way more power" doesn't refer to the normal Snapping process, but rather to direct Investiture infusion.
  15. I think it's the Investiture density that matters for resistance. Besides, we've seen Shardblades cut through earth/rock before.
  16. I doubt the Stormlight is going to involve Ashyn in a meaningful way. There are still people there - Brandon's planning an entire book set on Ashyn that he's calling Silence Divine.
  17. I would appreciate an explanation. Feruchemy predates Harmony by thousands of years. Brandon has explicitly told us what H-Atium does: it can steal any power, and it does so more efficiently.
  18. Have you checked out the Coppermind yet? It's basically the Cosmere Wikipedia. There's a rather extensive article on Hoid.
  19. Do we know for sure that that is one for one though? Like, the black smoke could be the byproduct of whatever Nightblood does to incorporate the breaths, or whatever other investiture, he consumes. I'm not convinced Nightblood isn't getting progressively more invested every time he is drawn. If you finish reading Weltall's post, you'll see that he included a quote from Brandon that's definitive:
  20. I think that technically we have one more guess and don't pass our turn until a majority of our team posts pass turn. However, as it's the first round, I think it's safe to assume that nobody else will take a random guess. P.s. I updated the spreadsheet to reflect our guesses.
  21. I think that Marewill Flowers is most strongly associated with the Catacendre. In addition to the three people @Herowannabe listed, there's also Reen, whose voice was impersonated by Ruin. I would go with Marewill Flowers and something else. I think that there are much clearer clues for Demoux/Beldre (e.g. Allomancer).
  22. Do you have a source for that? I don't remember that being confirmed in the books, and neither the Coppermind or any of the entries in the Arcanum have anything to say on the matter.
  23. I don't think there's ever any mention of axehounds or cremlings having gemhearts. According to the Coppermind, they're only found in the larger, Chull-like creatures (plus the singers).
  24. The Coppermind (basically the Cosmere Wikipedia) is a great resource for this stuff: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Seventeenth_Shard
  25. That's a really good question. There are perpendicularities on Threnody, but they are "unstable, unpredictable, and have a morbid origin." They're probably related to the creation of the Shades.
