If it makes you feel any better, I had been wracking my brain for like a week trying to come up with a clue for Half-Shard and Well of Ascension and only came up with imprison that morning. I know it's not the same thing, but would Wax shooting Paalm be considered ranged Hemalurgy? Also, if the bindpoints matter for the victim/donor, as it seems like they should (recent WoB notwithstanding), it would be incredibly difficult to pull off in practice, even if the shooter did have the right intent.

Welcome to the Shard! The Rithmatist is awesome! I regret putting it off so long because it wasn't part of the Cosmere sequence. Have you checked out the Rithmatist subforum? There's a ton of great info and discussion there, including a pretty awesome thread detailing the mathematical basis for the defenses. Given that we now have our first taste of Stormlight 4, do we know what the new spoiler policy will be for advanced chapters/readings? I know @Chaos mentioned that he wasn't thrilled with the way the Oathbringer spoiler stuff worked out. There's already a post in the Stormlight forum about the Planet Comicon reading (with some details in the title). Where are we allowed to post pre-release info, and how should we mark it?

The Skyward WoB is both clearer and much more recent, so normally I'd assume that it overrides what Brandon said back in 2014. But I agree that the ramifications of it don't make much sense. I mean, you could just poke a Mistborn/Radiant with an aluminum thumb tack and poof - no more magic. I think I'm just going to assume that it matters for both people and that something got garbled with the WoB, but it seems like a strange mistake to make, especially given that it was an online WoB, not an in-person during a 5 hour signing line WoB. @Calderis do Reddit events get the "pending review" tag? Does the lack of such tags on the Skyward event mean that someone from Dragonsteel actually reviewed the WoBs?

Great job blue team! And red team too - that was a really close game! Wow. I didn't even consider Moon Scepter. I was a little worried about Nightblood, Oathgate, and Chemoarish, but figured you'd win next turn with something like Fabrial or Armor.

But the Fused don't get sent back to Braize, they are reborn in the Everstorm. The Heralds going back to Braize wouldn't accomplish anything.

If I'm remembering the Hemalurgy Shardcast correctly, wasn't there confusion about whether or not bindpoints mattered for the victim vs the recipient? There's also a fairly recent WoB (last October) that position only matters for the recipient. It also appears to have been reviewed by Dragonsteel (it doesn't have the "pending review" tag).

Once you have guns, it's not hard to get through Shardplate - it only takes 2-3 shots. Any sort of semi- (or fully-) automatic weapon should be able to easily nullify it. The difficult parts are staying alive and dealing with the Radiant's healing ability. Other tips for killing Radiants: Injuries to the head can disrupt the Radiant's ability to think clearly (shown when Shallan takes a crossbow bolt to the head), likely preventing them from going on the offensive As pointed out by @SwordNimiForPresident, another interesting vector of attack (against all Invested beings, really) is aluminum Hemalurgy. The process of spiking someone is still not fully understood, but an aluminum spike "removes all powers"

I too thought that Chaser was mindswapped, but it's pretty clear by the end that he was just being mislead by the aliens' powers. He thought that his wingmates were aliens and that they had killed all his friends.

@Karger Check out this (somewhat confusing) WoB: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/315-general-reddit-2018/#e9385 Basically, all Investiture is "flavored" - it belongs to specific Shards. This was true even before the Shattering of Adonalsium; all Investiture was Adonalsium's Investiture, but various parts of it leaned in different ways. When Adonalsium was split into the 16 different Shards, all the Investiture was likewise split, depending on which Shardic intent it was closest to. P.s. Please refrain from double posting. I have almost everything on eBook. I use the Kindle app and it is fantastic. I can read on my phone, iPad, and browser. Plus Amazon frequently offers $1 digital credits for selecting "No-Rush Shipping" (which frequently still arrives in 2-3 days), so I just bank those up and use them to get free Sanderson books (just did this yesterday with Mitosis, actually). The eBooks are also nice because they're searchable. It makes referencing things when posting on the forums so much easier. (side note: anybody know how to copy-paste from the Kindle Cloud Reader?) I also have most of the physical books, but I get those for Christmas (my Christmas lists the past few years have been exclusively Sanderson books and board games).

Spren can turn into basically any shape, but only one object at a time. Thus no moving parts.

Odium isn't a crossover, he's part of Stormlight. Nightblood is sort of a crossover, but Brandon actually wrote Warbreaker as his backstory, not the other way around. The Cosmere crossovers in Stormlight so far are really just cameos. Scadrial is actually getting attacked by a foreign Shard. Brandon has confirmed multiple times that Mistborn 4 is the conclusion to the Cosmere sequence (see here and here). Plus, the timeline doesn't fit. All of Stormlight takes place within a couple of decades, and is concurrent with Mistborn 2. Era 4 is going to be set much, much farther in the future than Era 2/Stormlight (they're going to have FTL travel).

I disagree. Mistborn is going to have way more Cosmere-aware crossovers, while Stormlight is more stand alone. Mistborn Era 4 is going to be the grand finale of the Cosmere sequence.

The "Survival Shard" was already mentioned earlier in the thread, and it was pointed out that we do, in fact, know that the desire to survive is tangential to the intent of the Shard. Brandon has said that the intent of the shard is only tangentially related to it's wanting to hide and survive. So something like Wisdom would be more likely.
