Oh mah gosh that was crazy
I work in my school cafeteria during lunch, and usually, I work in the basement area right by the cafeteria, but today I worked upstairs on the other side of the courtyard. It was CRAZY. Everything is a lot more ghetto over there, the pizza is just sitting under a lamp instead of in an oven, we're basically outside, floors are concrete instead of tile, the room is more like a booth than a room, it's super windy, it was just CRAZY. And to top it all off I had more than 4 TIMES as many customers as I normally do downstairs. Usually I get between 7-15 customers, upstairs I had nearly 50!! FIFTY!!! It was INSANE!! I should clarify it was insane in a good way. It was hectic and really windy and loud and ghetto and fun. I'm tired tho, geez. -

Decided to make a thread to celebrate the best webcomic ever, Dr. McNinja. It is hilarious and actually has a really good overarching story too. You should absolutely check it out. They have a whole 'new readers' section which I linked to, but the rundown is that you should start at 'Meet the Doctor and His Friendly Staff' and then just go linearly. You can go back and read 'Issue One Half'' later. Disclaimers: Preview: Also, spoiler policy. This is my new favorite rendition of a Parshendi. Everyone seems to have a different idea of what ‘marbled skin’ looks like, but this one is just EPIC! I can practically hear the rhythms. New headcanon, absolutely. this is what Venli looks like for me now. -
Wow......that’s epic. For some reason I always pictured the Purelake as sort of a milky white color, but now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t think it ever gives us any indication it would be, right? It would probably look just like that. -
I’ll have you know we were working on a muuuch hackier hack than yours. We were gonna get infinite Atium and it was gonna be great but we ran out of time anywaaaaaays... It might be less that you’re jumping to conclusions, and more that you’re just arriving at so many of them. Which correlates with your abundance of posts, so that might make sense. It did seem like you voted Aman rather out of the blue tho...

I’m mildly suspicious of Illwei, but that might just be lingering feelings from Imperial Nomic. I’m not very good at playing the meta, but it kinda seems that they are posting a lot, and maybe jumping to conclusions? Basically just ‘kinda sus’ levels of suspicion.

No watermark, so that’s good not impact font, also good Is princess bride, which is kinda overused, but at least it isn’t that one specific picture, that ones really overused Concept is pretty funny, could possibly be represented in a better format Mild misquote, should say “hello, my name is...” all in all, pretty well done, I’d give it a 7.4/10, good enough for me to upvote! (Which I did)

I was reading some random pages from wayyy back, close to the beginning of the thread, and there’s all these just...horrible memes. All made from imageflip, Impact Font, basic format, doesn’t even use said format correctly......and then they’d get like 30 upvotes. People were just starved for memes I guess. =P Needless to say I am very glad to see that we have some quality these days. These are very clever.

Ok, so I’m still trying to figure out how this all works, and I think I’m starting to get it, but the HI still confuses me a little bit. Are they basically just a Traitor Kandra but with added restrictions (can’t access Traitor Doc, but also can’t die)? And then once all Loyal Hemalurgists are killed they just become the equivalent of a Traitor Kandra? How do you know this?

I think that Brandon will almost definitely still be writing books in 20 years, so I definitely think the Shard will still exist and be just as active as it is now, if not more so. I think a lot of people will have gone inactive, probably me being one of them. I’ll still definitely be reading his books in 20 years, but I doubt I’ll be on here to talk about them. I bet a ton of the Site Staff will have changed too. I don’t think that any RP that exists right now will survive that long. Not a single one. I bet the site will have a lot more rules, or be enforcing those rules a lot more. I think the site will almost definitely grow, Sanderson will have written a lot more books, and the fanbase would grow consequently. One result of having a larger fanbase is having more ‘bad eggs’, so to speak. So there will probably be some more rules to compensate. And finally, the 100,000th post wins thread will be about halfway to its goal.
