Oh, I don't want to turn this into a debate. I am quite interested that we have almost completely opposite view of the same events, and both of those views are valid. And, this is an unpopular opinions thread, so if people disagree with us, well this is the right place for airing those opinions! I didn't really give a trat about the Shallan/Adolin/Kaladin stuff, if Shallan had got back from the Shattered Plains and ditched Adolin, I would have been totally fine with that. But my favourite thing about Mistborn Era 2 was that Wax did not ditch Steris. When Marasi showed up, I rolled my eyes really hard. "Oh, here we go, the pretty young girl, and now Brandon's gonna have to conveniently kill off Steris or something so that Wax can have his hot bird". And I have never been happier to be proven wrong. Wax and Steris is one of my favourite fictional relationships.

I've only listened to the first 2 chapters, so, reaction so far: Why would she kill her husband? If it's NOT her husband, but a husband-replacement murder-clone! That's all I got so far. Also, wondering whether she realised somehow after slipping and cutting herself while carving oranges. Not sure how that works, maybe she suddenly realised the murder-clone was missing a scar or injury or something? I dunno. I hope there's more to it than that, and I'm actually wrong!

People sang about Re-Shephir in poetry and epics, describing her as a dark, beautiful figure. Should it be "princess of the Voidbringers", or is it using "princes" to describe all of the Unmade? Not sure about this.

Chapter 7 "What did he care? He intended to see his parents moved from this city anyway." Referring to Kaladin's hopes that his parents will move out of Hearthstone. Is the word "city" a mistake?

I'm not 100% convinced the song is about the Stormlight Archive. Don't get me wrong, if it's about a Brandon Sanderson series, then the Stormlight Archive is absolutely the correct answer. But it could just be a cool coincidence, like Dark Side of the Moon with Wizard of Oz? I know nothing about this band, so *shrug* If you start with The Way of Kings, I'd recommend skipping the "Prelude" chapter, and then reading it afterwards - makes more sense afterwards too! It's the only real issue with the book, it kind of has three prologues, so it's hard to get into. Another good standalone work I'd recommend is the novella The Emperor's Soul. IMO Emperor's Soul and Stormlight are the best of Brandon's Cosmere works.

Turns out that if I go to foodnetworkasia.com, I get instantly redirected to the foodnetwork.com landing page anyway. D: Also the "do you accept cookies" popups. Yes, I accept all the cookies. Gah.
