  1. Thankfully this didn't break the site with an infinite recursion of notifications
  2. Standard heroic-adventurers. But yeah more or less. That's why they have quests to make you do all the work
  3. 2.5 times better than an average NPC villager
  4. Distantly the sound of a thousand DA lawyers drafting lawsuits could be heard.
  5. Locked now. As long as you don't try to profit from or claim other peoples works as your own then you should be ok to transcribe the thread, it's publicly available after all. That being said if anyone who participated does not want their characters to be transcribed, please PM Bit.
  6. Sorry I've not been posting much still, life has been a whirlwind for the last month or two. Started a new job yesterday and been training my replacement for my old job all week before that so not as much Shard time as I usually enjoy. Anyways, I'll get a post up for my character soon. What does everyone want to explore? Quest NPCs can be found, guildhalls lie around the place, roaming monsters in the city can be fought, things can be bought or we can head into the wilderness.
  7. Hey! I'll have you know we have plenty of morals! They're all locked up in a room in storage so they don't interfere with science.
  8. Oh well you know the DA, we don't charge for our services. * *Possible requirement that you surrounder your immortal soul, pursuant to the standard DA disclaimer. She's doing well, 2 years old now. Thanks How have you been?
  9. An Inkspren bond would allow one to become an Elsecaller. As for the mustache, we're still not completely sure. Leading theory is that it's tied to the ability to attract mustache-spren and uses their cognitive identity.
  10. Hi @Delightful! Welcome back. I have a few options if you're looking for that nostalgic 17th Shard type of cookie. I have a plain chocolate chip cookie that contains a Bane from the Nightwatcher which causes you to be unable to perceive a certain shade of blue. A double chocolate chip cookie that contains a bond with an Inkspren. Or a white chocolate chip cookie that contains the ability to know where the nearest mustache to you is at all times. (There is also another cookie that contains the full suite of Mistborn powers, but that one has raisins in it. I plan to hunt down whichever acolyte committed this grievous sin and make them pay.)
  11. 3 Years prior Tilting his head to one side, Voidus felt a disturbance in the force. “Darn force fields. Can’t keep a stable output of force.” He muttered under his breath. He realigned one of the spikes in the large Investiture circuit until finally the output stabilized. “Alright.” He said to the handful of acolytes who stood nearby. “Now that you’ve seen how to correct it, I trust that I won’t be sensing any more of those disturbances?” Before the Acolytes could reply, Voidus was gone. He had felt the presence of an old friend, head of the DAs research and development and one of the most dangerous beings in the Alleyverse, the Stranger. A little bit different this time though. Temporal separation? Voidus mused. It seemed that the Stranger that was trying to contact him was not the same as the Stranger that existed in this timeline. Thankfully the area he was travelling to was already dimensionally separated from the more commonly perceived representation of the Alleys, so their reunion was unlikely to cause the death of too many billions of bystanders.
  12. I have PM'd the stats if that's what you were suggesting. Or did you need another post in the thread? I wanted to let the players post first before I did another.
  13. A few DA bookkeepers begin taking bets on how long people think it will take before this party gets derailed into an invasion or battle of some kind.
  14. So will one other person possibly. But yes, I was also thinking this might be a good setting.
  15. The 47th element in the periodic table.
  16. As the stick collided with the barrier, it was met with a perfect opposing force, preventing it from pushing any further in. At the same moment, other nearby Aons began to glow brighter, drawing additional energy from the Dor as their programs kicked in. Shao Aon Shao brightened first, it shifted to the point of contact before flaring briefly. The stick itself now appeared to have a Glyphpair seared into it, seeming to retain some of the light of the Aon, the glyphpair glowed slightly. Daa An Aon Daa with extensive modifiers grew brighter before unleashing a concussive blast. The blast knocked the stick back from the barrier but wasn't powerful enough to cause any serious harm. Ashe Several nearby Aons began to glow steadily brighter. Aon Ashe lit the immediate vicinity with bright light, illuminating the two figures that stood before the barrier.
  17. Thread has been necro'd. I'm going to potentially adjust some things in terms of mechanics, but for now assume it plays the same as previously. Probably easiest if people just do character introductions to start with though.
  18. Halloween reset Across the entirety of the game, players rushed to kill monsters, collect resources and craft items. The game administrators had announced last week that they would be performing a full server wipe at the time of the Halloween update, resetting everyones progress to lvl 1. Apparently the game had undergone some tweaks and rebalances to create a more immersive gameplay experience than ever before. Players rushed to try to get themselves higher up on the leaderboards before the server wipe, eager to leave some last remnant before all traces of these characters were gone. Finally, at 6:00 PM on Halloween, a server-wide message was logged, thanking the players for their patience. Everyone was logged out while the update was applied to the servers. And then, at 6:05 PM the first new arrivals entered once again into the town of beginnings. Streaks of golden light fell from the sky, striking the ground at the town square before they resolved into figures of all shapes and sizes. Some looked down at their hands with a weary resignation, still trapped as they had been before. Still others began looking around in alarm, new victims that had been taken into the game. The town of beginnings was dark this time, and decked out in holiday-appropriate scenery. Jack-O-Lanterns stood in place of the old street lamps, and a few wandering undead roamed the streets, some with large question marks over their heads to signify quest givers, while others appeared to be more mundane mobs.
