  1. Is the wiki down for anyone else or is my internet just hating me again?
  2. Darn I missed that one, ok so looks like I was wron gon the no where near as epic part that being said he will probably be outnumbered like 50 to 1 by Dhakor so he might still be able to get a tattoo and be a full-powered Elantrian
  3. I see what you did there But there are Spren who are conscious other than Syl (Confirmed by Brandon) so some of these may not be bonded. But actually there is another Brandon quote on the relationship between the three So hopefully the answer to this question will be revealed when we have some more SA books.
  4. Yeah that's a good point, what if you had two people, 1 Seer 1 Bendalloy misting (obviously) the Bendalloy misting picks a spot to shoot in, the Seer should be able to tell where this shot would go (He hasn't interfered) they tell the Bendalloy misting hit or miss the bendalloy misting then changes targets. This would either 1. Not let you see whether the second bullet will hit, keeps showing you original course of events. 2. Split Atium shadows to 2 possibilities. 3. Create new atium shadow but also destroys old (Not likely) I'm inclined to say two since it's basically just a voluntary use of what Vin did. However this is still hugely impractical since Atium is so incredibly rare, but it could be used to pull off the one perfect shot (Against say a homicidal mistborn?) against a powerful opponent
  5. Yeah I noticed this too, especially since poisons effect people differently according to a huge number of variables, if it could act that quickly then it was incredibly risky giving some to Shallan since it could have effected her even quicker than that.
  6. Well yeah but Kaladin is the only POV military character who doesn't have a Shardblade and good luck trying to 'shear' something with a spear I don't think that's justification for saying that the word Shear is Shardblade specific.
  7. Interesting question, would a Seer be able to negate the deflection of bullets by knowing where it's going to hit? Well actually probably not since they don't generally see what the results of their own actions are. but still it's nice to dream
  8. Not sure what you mean by that? This is definitely a possibility I don't think symbolheads could be dismissed as windspren... I know that larger spren can change their appearance but I don't think drastically enough for a symbolhead to look like a windspren.
  9. No I don't think it's been strictly stated but it seems much more like a power source by itself (Gives off light, slowly dissipates, can be used to make and power fabrials) but I'm of the opinion that a 'well' of power is what makes the Stormlight so it still fits in with the rest of the cosmere, just speculation of course but then we don't really have much else to go on
  10. Agreed, I'm actually looking forward to him the most, hope get some good POVs from him in book 2 @Observer yes but from the first instance that she saw them they appeared sentient, there also appeared to be much less of a bonding proccess between them as with Kaladin/Syl (And Kaladin was seeing Syl for months before she could communicate)
  11. Well in terms of obeying the laws of Physics Colour is caused by pigments which is made of matter which has a certain amount of energy so on that front it still works, but since all of the Magic systems fit into one framework I do find it hard to believe that some of them get their power from a 'well' of power and others just from colour/Stormlight. But Stormlight is the really troubling one since it definitely seems to be a power source in it's own right.
  12. There's always going to be some loss of power, it's the nature of Hemalurgy so unless Coppercloud stacking works slightly less efficiently (eg. 2x Copperclouds =1.8 strength not 2x strength)
  13. With BioChroma it's the colour that is consumed (man using correct spelling feels good), either of you two had to say Aluminum yet? My Chemistry Lecturer would have murdered me if they ever saw me do that
  14. That's why I added the 'probably' we don't have confirmation on either but both are fairly strongly suspected of being Splinters.
  15. Yes but one tougher guy who can negate the abilities of the entire opposing army is definitely worth 50 ordinary soldiers, on a tactical level at least.
  16. Well the secon book isn't going to focus on Raoden and I assume any others won't either, if we get another Elantrian protagonist then they'll probably be no where near as epic But I think that the Dhakor and ChayShan magic systems are more likely to be explored, well hopefully anyway XD
  17. I don't think there was confirmation that the Soulcaster was cut by a Shardblade, on the other
  18. That same quote goes on to mention Aons, BioChroma may be a bit different and we don't have any quotes directly confirming it, seems to me to be a bit like a power source in itself since the color used are of differing power, and yeah Stormlight definitely seems like a power source in it's own right too. EDIT: Ah you spelled colour correctly! (I'm from Australia so I keep trying to change mine to american spelling)
  19. From the man himself Nicely picked up! Not sure if I've seen you around, if not welcome to the Forums! EDIT: As long as there aren't too many spoilers the mistborn topic should be fine for posts like this, the Admins and Moderators will move it if it's in the wrong area
  20. I had a theory a while back that there is a genetic component to Surgebinding, after some discussion we decided it was probably that there is some genetic/environmental component whereby people in the same family will be raised/born with honourable morals due to this. It came from my theory that Shallans father may have been a natural Soulcaster as well but that's a bit off topic
  21. Unless Elhokar becomes an antagonist I don't see it as being particularly helpful to the story. We already have two other Soulcasters (Who are much more independant) (probably) one from each of the two orders so it would be a waste of an opportunity if Elhokar just turned out to be another Soulcaster. I would like to see him become some kind of a Surgebinder I just hope it's not another Soulcaster as I just feel that this would waste the opportunity to showcase more abilities, this is more of a personal problem than any actual issue in the story but I also feel that it is unlikely for Brandon to make Elhokar a Soulcaster when there are still 7 Orders of the KR to explore. All this being said one situation that I would quite enjoy I think is if Elhokar became an antagonist in the series and was also a Soulcaster, then we have a Szeth v Kaladin fight and also a Shallan v Elhokar fight XD Also Soulcasting mainly has applications as a support role, (providing food, supplies, etc.) it does have martial applications as wee saw with Jasnah but this doesn't seem to fit Elhokar as a character. Anyway this is all just opinion there's no actual reason for him not to be a Soulcaster so feel free to disagree
  22. Sorry, I should clarify that I meant the literal killing of Ati, not that Preservation meant to destroy anything I like that explanation as well, that he was really trying to preserve the Ati of old. Have an upvote.
  23. Wouldn't need to be a full feruchemist, a group of double Nicrosils with Feruchemical Aluminum granted Hemalurgically would do (or Aluminum/Nicrosil twinborn with hemalurgic Nicrosil)
  24. Yes everyone gets a cookie in the mail! just er.. ignore the metallic taste of them and remember that I would definitely not use this as a means of secretly raising my own hemalurgically spiked army with which to challenge the admins appreciate feedback on the taste of the cookies
  25. Tough choice, I'd have to go Kingkiller chronicles but there was a series that I read ages ago that I've never found again called the Andrakis Series that I've always wanted to re-read. Also, Aminar you appear to have double posted
