  1. This^ I wonder if you can spike someone multiple times; one non-lethal, one lethal.
  2. I do agree that bullets could probably just be plated, I think that in AoL times they might not have had the requisite technology to electroplate them, that's my $0.02 anyway
  3. I would see non-lethal hemalurgic spikes as being akin to Drabs, but we don't know enough about the effects of either to be sure. Depends on what the family wants I'd guess and obviously if the patient had left any instructions in their will.
  4. It doesn't rip out your entire soul, just a piece of it depending on where you place the spike. And you would only need 32 at most Actually that is quite a bit come to think of it. Better throw in some mental fortitude spikes.
  5. It would need to be quite thick, I don't think it's doable, the only thing I can think of is to electro-plate it but that might not go on evenly enough in the barrel, it would be hugely difficult and wasteful, just making it solid would be easier.
  6. Well certainly a 'very different person, but we can't know how that would work until we see it. But there are ways to get Hemalurgic spikes without going around slaughtering allomancers, deathbed spikes, non-lethal spikes for coma patients? There are ways.
  7. Plating on a gun wouldn't last very long, 1 use and it's vulnerable to allomancy again.
  8. Took me a while to find this one.
  9. Spikes don't have to kill, they just usually do.
  10. This. But wouldn't you like some hemalurgically endowed tin for your sharpshooter?
  11. The third mistborn trilogy when we finally get a cosmere story!
  12. I think that unless you had a whole suit made of Aluminum it wouldn't block Atium, just holding it isn't going to do anything. We've also never seen Aluminium affect one of the internal metals and I don't think we will, otherwise all of allomancy is going to be rendered pretty useless in the next trilogy (Unless maybe nicrosil fuelled allomancy can affect Aluminium?)
  13. That's what I thought too, just field twice as many bridgemen and have them lightly armoured with a quarter or so in heavier armour and with parshendi-carapace as distractions. With so many decoys the arrows are spread out a lot more and you could armour them heavily enough that they are much better protected. (Although this would reduce mobility and their ability to dodge, so it depends whether it's better to dodge or just take the hits)
  14. It's still more common than copper, zinc, tin or gold. Which makes 6 of the 8 basic metals and 2 of the higher metals. So in comparison to the other allomantic metals only Aluminium and Iron are more common.
  15. Depends what time frame you're in, it's the 24th most abundant element on earth according to a quick wikipedia search So I think that like Aluminium the problem is with extracting metallic chromium from an ore.
  16. Depends on what you spike first, first thing to get is double chromium, then double gold. After that you're fairly unstoppable but just to be safe double steel.
  17. I'm sure there's some Aon for that.
  18. I cannot believe I mixed those up. but yes, that one!
  19. Get Brandon in a Cadmium bubble so SA 2 comes out faster!
  20. It should be noted that we don't have complete confirmation that the Dhakor abilities are powered by Dominion so that one should probably be changed to either Dhakor or Fjodell symbols. I'm tossing up between Hemalurgy and AonDor now, we know a bit more about AonDors limits and from what we've seen it would be the stronger but it depends on how Hemalurgy plays out, same for Surgebinding I guess
  21. We weren't referring to piercing copperclouds we were talking about the possibility of destructive interference weakening copperclouds to the point that a regular seeker could pierce them. On this, I doubt that should a skaa Allomancer discover something that they would go rushing to the nearest obligator to tell them if TLR knew they were allomancers he'd kill them anyway so what more can he do? double kill them?
  22. Hemalurgy ftw!
  23. I do agree that TLR could hush up a lot of things if he were so inclined (at least from the nobility) I just don't think he needed to bother with Atium mistigs, the discovery of the eleventh metal also happened in one of the further out dominances I think, further out from TLR's direct influence. But something like copperclouds being weaker or stronger would have been almost impossible to hush up, even for him. They are just too common an occurence.
  24. So it depends how he actually phrased it.
  25. In the nobility there is also a lot more rivalry, are you likely to share it with anyone? They were always manoeuvring for position and information like this could be hugely useful if kept a secret.
