  1. Sounds good then, any ideas for justifications? I tend to vote labor too but more because I really don't want to vote liberal than any sense of supporting the labor party.
  2. 57 complex potatoes, so like draw some physics problems in them or something I guess?
  3. Once I finally finish my degree if I ever get the chance to do research in Antarctica I will jump at it. Freezing cold, penguins, auroras and very few people? It would remove basically every form of anxiety I have. Although I'd probably develop some form of anxiety about freezing to death pretty quickly.
  4. You could just use some kind of reinforced habit rather than her weakness, like reading her diary to remind her who she really is or something like that.
  5. Well there goes my backup plan of moving to canada. Anyone know somewhere with cold weather and at least semi-human politicians?
  6. Sadly I can see exactly why the Australian government doesn't, it was pretty much their entire campaign platform and they still got elected so I guess unfortunately I have to accept that most Australians don't really care about refugees enough to want to help.
  7. Szeths use of hemalurgy: confirmed.
  8. Not a problem, Bruces aura of cute awesomeness would prevent Calamity from ever being a corrupting influence. All Epics have a delightful disposition and instead of having a weakness that terrifies them they just have a thing they have to cuddle every time they see it.
  9. The anthem would just be a recitation of a bunch of cute pug names.
  10. Forget president, can I give my vote to Bruce becoming unquestioned ruler of the world?
  11. That doesn't necessarily preclude clarity, just that that clarity would probably be focused towards getting the hell away from their weakness. Yeah basically the whole governments response to asylum seekers and refugees is to send them back to dangerous warzones or lock them up in inhuman conditions on an island in the pacific. Then claim that it's really what everyone in Australia wants. But seriously we're like the most underpopulated country on earth, we have nearly the same landmass as the us but less than 1/10th the population, I don't think accepting a few people who have been through hell is going to do a lot. Especially when we end up spending more money on drones, patrol boats and camps than we would to just resettle them. Sounds like most places with bipartisan politics I think, the big parties need big campaign funds to compete with eachother so they end up making policies to benefit their funders rather than the actual people they're supposed to represent. I think we should go back to the days when leaders were decided by smashing eachother on the head with a club. We'd still have very annoying politicians but once in a while we'd get to see them get clubbed on the head, something I think we could all enjoy. That or just elect Bruce. Even if he did a terrible job he's cute so he'd get away with it. Twi I demand you get Bruce into politics ASAP!
  12. Well at one point I think the UN was investigating a refugee camp as a potential violation of the convention against torture. So yeah. Well the Prime Minister just got replaced so hopefully something might change but it's the same party calling the shots so I doubt much will. And the other party isn't much better.
  13. If 1/4th of what I've heard about Australias refugee situation is correct then I get the feeling that they're the kind of people who are more likely to kick a pug than look at it with googly eyes.
  14. Not unless I acquire it illegally. Because the Australian government is completely stupid and decided that rather than try to fix the public opinion of them being one of the worst governments of all time they'd rather just piss everyone off and make it illegal to try to circumvent geoblocking.
  15. Have I mentioned before how much I hate delayed releases in Australia? Seriously considering moving countries just so I don't have to put up with it anymore. The pinnacle was when a movie that was completely made here was released in Australia later than everywhere else.
  16. I think I wish I could get a copy now. Stupid Australian delayed releases.
  17. This thread has been open over a week and we still haven't even reached 10 pages yet. Our forum takeover powers are slowing down.
  18. “First of,” Lucentia said, not reacting in the least towards Neverthere's knowledge of her spy “you might as well tell me if that ragtag bunch of minor Epics is still planning on doing anything and if they have anything resembling a headquarters or important members. Otherwise I want you to find out what Corpsemaker is planning and be discrete about it. No grand announcements that you are spying for me, at least not until you actually prove yourself.” Well I suppose just getting confirmation about it right away would be boring, I'll have to think of another way to confirm. Maybe find a cute guy in Astoria. Or... She sent a somewhat more subtle glance Nighthounds way, he was after all Lucentias brother, surely he'd know all the Epics under her control. She'd need to see how things panned out with him. "The rabble call themselves the 'Minor Epic Empire' a bunch of low leveled Epics with powers ranging from obscure but strong to completely useless." Neverthere began, gaze returning to meet Lucentia's. Neverthere hadn't been paying particular attention to the MEE since they weren't important enough players to be anything more than pawns in the game. But pawns could come in handy too, and no decent player worried about sacrificing one or two pawns for the greater strategy. "They were started by two Epics, Refill and Zip. Refill died last night while attacking Alterminds territory which leaves Zip nominally in charge. He's a spatial manipulator who can shrink things, I don't know any more details about his powers but I know most of the other Epics involved fairly well. Mostly just rejects who weren't useful enough to get recruited by any of the bigger factions." "As for my allegiances, well I've never been prone to revealing who I really am for people." She said slyly before sending an equally sly look up an Nighthound. "Not unless I like them and they're cute anyway." Taking her head off his shoulder she stood up on tiptoe before levitating slightly off the ground to gain enough height to give him an imaginary kiss on the cheek as she faded away. "I'll be in contact then." She said as she vanished from the museum. She was surrounded completely by darkness, having shifted to a wall inside the dominions territory. A handy trick for being able to listen and watch when she really didn't want to be seen. Ah Lucy, I think we're going to have a lot of fun together. She shifted once again, moving around the grounds to follow any conversations she could pick up as the Epics from the Dominion slowly set about their day. Now how long should I leave it before I switch back and find out what Lucy's getting up to? She wondered idly as she watched the inhabitants of a room filled with chopped up mannequins.
  19. And of course worldwide sales of brain bleach quadrupled in a single day.
  20. I think the last time caused an world-wide shortage of bandages to treat all the facepalm related injuries that ensued.
  21. Doing ok, I've been holding off on a post until PP and Saccharine need a scene too since I don't like making tiny posts and she'd essentially just agree, dispense some basic information and then vanish to go spy on people, maybe do something horrific and wildly inappropriate with Nighthound before she leaves. Like look at him in a non-horrified manner or something.
  22. As she will herself happily proclaim at the slightest provocation due to a strange joy in reciting her name as frequently as possible. No, sadly most are probably just good normal people who got stuck in a lousy situation and were forced to rage-murder the only people who could have helped them out of it when they went on their Rending. Calamity is a pile of chull dung.
  23. Neverthere was always a bit of a sociopath, she's not really evil but she wouldn't cross the street to save a life unless it benefited her.
  24. Is the closest I can find.
  25. Pretty much. Scribblers is pretty notable for its terribleness among my characters. Neverthere on the other hand has no tragic backstory to use as justification for her actions, she's just a manipulative sociopath.
