Edge? Thoughts? She'd make a joke about being so popular then promptly insult corpsey, wardy and 'that nerdy one' and vanish into mist again. After all whenever you think you've captured her she's never there.

I'm also highly skeptical any time someone gives a figure like it's 10x mroe or 100x more, the fact that it's rounded to a power of ten usually shows that it's a human based figure, nature doesn't have any strong preferences for the number ten. In both cases I think the characters were using hyperbole.

Well he's already shown he doesn't mind using spikes that have already been made so I don't think it's outside the realms of possibility but I think it'd be used pretty sparingly, as mentioned he doesn't want Harmony in his head all the time especially now. That said he wouldn't need to use it particularly frequently, just spend an hour a week compounding into metalminds and just keep the spike on him for when he needs it or potentially if he can burn the metalminds without needing the spike just do that.

I've started learning a bit of German again using Duolingo after I got a challenge from someone IRL. Anyone else use it at all?

She's not without escape plans, if he put enough effort into it Corpsemaker could probably catch her but she is pretty practiced at avoiding being captured. And I generally prefer not to plan out my characters too much, there are some vague plans for Nighthound to track her down but that could actually work out even better if he saves her from the Dominion it serves the purpose even more. But basically I'd rather not use plot armour to keep her hidden if Streetwise should see her.

Pulsers* Putting a pulsar inside a nuclear plant would definitely be a bad idea But actually I think you meant Sliders in any event, Pulsers are Cadmium mistings.

She'd quite clearly been unaware of the concept yeah but Oudeis was making it sound like someone must have explained to her that he could compound his gold feruchemy and she'd dismissed it as a myth. But yeah it's honestly one of the moments that breaks Marasi's character for me, it's a nice way to slip in some exposition about compounding but I really do feel like someone as well educated as Marasi should have known better. If the information that the Lord Ruler used compounding was available to Wax then he's clearly not just going off of his relationship with Miles, I mean I guess he could have just heard it from his grandmother since from that scene in SoS it seems the Terris or at least she specifically is aware of how dangerous compounding is but you'd think someone with Marasi's passion could find similar credible sources. Actually now that I think about it wasn't it mentioned in the words of founding?

Only if you want them to But then again, Portland hasn't been getting much attention lately so yes, that's absolutely what it means and if they don't then everyone will die because er... Because Neverthere will tell Obliteration that the dominion made fun of his glasses? Probably, but she's mostly gonna be inside of walls and the ground so she's not too worried about being spotted and she's not entirely clear on how Streetwises ability works, she'd be pretty likely to assume he's just an astral projector like her. If Streetwise could see her inside a wall or you particularly feel like someone else spotting her that's fine with me, she would peek out occasionally to try to get some more visual information but it'd look mostly just like a piece of mist seeping momentarily from the wall.

The same is true of Nighthound who realizes that there is no future in which he isn't dead or one in which there is no 'Nighthound died' festival.

Notably she'd also know exactly how to punch him in such a way that the damage wasn't reflected.

No she didn't, she'd just heard that he had exceptionally powerful healing, she didn't even know he had gold allomancy so it makes perfect sense that she'd dismiss it. Again the scene is included almost entirely for the readers sake, but even that aside and something I can't stress enough is that she's not studying allomancy, she has only as much knowledge on the subject as anyone else does. Heck records exist that TLR used compounding so if anything she's somehow less informed than most people reasonably should be. Which brings me to... No, I'm saying the opposite, that people who actually study allomancy and feruchemy would know a lot more about it than other people would, whether that person's a baker or a solicitor neither job implies a propensity for allomantic knowledge in any detail. A Zinc compounder on the other hand has the benefit of actually being able to compound Zinc, they can publish a paper which other academics and scientists can actually study and replicate. Allomancer Jak is a character in a newspaper. Those kinds stories still get published all the time even in our era. I think you're greatly underestimating the scientific capabilities of Alloy era academics.

Maybe Wayne really is half-Kandra and can turn into a girl?

Is it sad that I know the likely ending of that pickup line?

Have I ever mentioned that I plan on introducing the death penalty for people who suggest that Reckoners is cosmere?

Particularly since Vin has been flying enough to know that she needs to wear pants while doing so, thus significantly limiting Deathwish's creep factor. Also I'd be giving her short-term precog abilities to simulate Atium so she'd be able to shut down his cheesy pick up lines before he even delivers them
-
Nooooooo.... What would make you think that? Note to self: make sure Vin makes assassinating Kobolds characters a top priority.
-
On a completely unrelated note I am now creating an Epic called Vin with metal manipulating powers, no one will ever guess what her weakness is.
-
On the plus side if she was a High Epic (Which she almost certainly would be) it'd make her nigh-impossible to kill and difficult for anyone to even discover her weakness, so immortal Vin ftw!

Marasi wasn't studying allomancy or feruchemy she was studying lawmen, some of whom may be allomancers but that's like saying that criminologists study criminals, some criminals may have for example sickle cell anemia, therefore if someone studying criminology doesn't understand sickle cell anemia then no academics do. It'd be a completely separate field of study. Again there's a difference between the population at large knowing/understanding something and the academic community, compare for example public knowledge of quantum phyiscs (One of the most popularized and commonly portrayed fields of physics) to the academic knowledge it's simply incomparable. You're assuming that the only way this information could possibly disseminate is from stories from the roughs but theres no reason that most compounders would even be in the roughs let alone that they could only spread news of their powers through vague stories. A copper or zinc compounder is infinitely more likely to be an academic studying at the university than a gunman spreading wild stories alongside Allomancer Jak. They'd be more likely to gain the most from their powers by studying themselves and publishing a paper on it than by secreting all knowledge of their abilities from everyone.

Either that or Arsenal would promptly be hung drawn and quatered by the entire population. So win-win I guess?

Portland is expected to introduce Nighthound Decapitation credits any day now, though Neverthere will insist on trying to introduce Nighthound hugging credits, all examples found will be burned on the spot.
-
They use a new method of currency called RPD or Right to Punch Deathwish. It's expected to expand rapidly.

like who?

I'm guessing there are no characters from MLP who are obsessed with creating Epic profiles?

Where did you get that from? And having more than you started with suggests at the most additive effects not multiplicative. On TLR we have WoB that he stayed old unnecessarily I believe, he didn't need to do it. More importantly if it was multiplicative it wouldn't ever run out, he only needs to fill the first metalmind he intends to burn with his own stores. Let's take Wax's example of it being a 10x multiplier, TLR stores one metalmind with 10 years worth of being half age, then burns it getting 100 years, he now immediately burns that getting a thousand years, burning that gives 10,000 then 100,000 then a million all with just 5 metalminds getting burned. If on the other hand it's an additive process it goes from 10 years to say 20 then burning that one gives 30 then 40 then 50 then 60 and so on, each burn only gives ten additional years instead of multiplying the entire store by 10.
