  1. See previous post. We all know it. Some may deny the truth but in their heart they know it to be so.
  2. Side theory: This restriction is not true on Roshar and so every time a warrior gets stabbed with a piece of metal he gets crazier and crazier, eventually leading to the Thrill.
  3. Well stealing is almost always lethal plus given that certain metals can only steal certain things I think you really do need to be precise when stealing a trait, otherwise the piece of spiritweb you shoot it through just won't stick to it.
  4. Weird magic time bubbles? I've honestly tried to figure it out and couldn't come up with anything. I did like it and as far as I know there are no conventions for how to dictate a temporal compression factor, although you never know, physics is going in some weird places this last century.
  5. There are only two things we can truly know in this world. 1. Our own thoughts and emotions. 2. The best food is indisputably tacos. Everything else is just speculation so try not to let it get to you too much. (Being a sufferer of anxiety I know how completely pointless that sentence can be sometimes but just take a few deep breaths and try to just let it all go as best you can) Because Twi is awesome.
  6. AonDor has more to do with the spiritual if anything, it has a direct link to the Dor and we have no evidence that AonDors transformation abilities have anything to do with the cognitive realm, it seems pretty simply to be just about drawing an Aon, not travelling to the cognitive realm and offering Investiture bribes like the Rosharan Soulcasters do. But even so that's not representative of the Shard, plus it's pretty extremely subjective. All magic systems have to do with all three realms, Forging changes cognitive identities but the goal is usually to alter the Physical realm, Surgebinders bond with spiritual powers that normally reside in the cognitive realm but are now trying to develop a connection in the Physical realm. Allomancers tap into the spiritual realm to produce a variety of physical and cognitive effects.
  7. Clearly this indicates that one Shard is held by a cyclops.
  8. Ricochet is generally a sign of a change in direction, not magnitude. A an aside, bolding variables is pretty standard for denoting a vector at my university. So now you have no excuse
  9. My incredibly pedantic brain would like you to know that you should really be using displacement not distance since Force is a vector The problem is that when you convert that force back into acceleration (ie. it's being exerted on something) it goes straight back to only being relative to each timeframe, so to an object outside the bubble the punch would only be as strong as a normal punch, though to people inside the bubble it would seem stronger, but only in the sense that all forces outside would seem stronger since the acceleration is relatively speaking a lot faster.
  10. And he hasn't even met the mad scientist with multiple personalities or his Yandere wife, or come to that Neverthere (Who is sort of unofficially affiliated at least), The crazy blood encrusted High-Epic revering weirdo, or the unicyclist (I think)
  11. That's a very good point. As such I shall nominate... Twi again. Because she has awesome pugs and she shares pictures of them.
  12. Technically I think it would be intra-cosmere Although speaking of which I think that Soothers and Rioters on Scadrial would kill to get their hands on one of those emotion-sensing bracelet fabrials. Would make things a lot easier.
  13. The force doesn't change at all, it's just the acceleration that's different. If you exert 10N of force on a 1kg object through a 10x slowed bubble then that object will accelerate backwards at 10 m.s^-2 but since it's in 10x slowed time it'll seem to you like it's only moving back at 1m.s^-2, but the force remains the same.
  14. Well it needs to be the right spike, you can't store bronze allomancy and feruchemy in the same spike. It's been mentioned a few times but as far as I know we don't have any WoB on it.
  15. Well you'd need to kill some people to make the spikes.
  16. That's going to hurt my wanting-to-obey-Thermodynamics brain all over again. Either way I think they'd probably be alright since they'd likely have space travel down by the time it completely ran out. And that's not even getting into what you might be able to do with Nicrosil.
  17. Yup. By pushing up on you they'd be pushing down on themselves which would cancel your pulling them up and they'd fall. Now combine it with Navani's elevator Fabrials (Which I totally called minutes after finishing Wok ) and you could get some interesting things.
  18. I doubt it's that simple, the point is that feruchemically charging a metal actually changes it, giving it a charge of another trait so that when you try to burn it the power gets funneled through that, you'd need to somehow allomantically charge a metalmind to create an analogous reverse.
  19. If you haven't had a terrible experience with someone who was drinking coffee then you're secretly an alien because everyone whose lived on earth has had that experience.
  20. I think there was some WoB that the metal isn't actually destroyed when its burned so I think as long as there are multiple generations between needing to re-collect the gold it would still be fine. But if not, they could just travel to other planets to harvest it Other than that though Scadrial has higher concentrations of metals than earth does so there'd still likely be more.
  21. I don't know about Edge but I will
  22. If you were on a stable platform then yes.
  23. And ordering ridiculously complicated coffees. ... The Fractured States is in far more terrible condition than I could ever have dreamed.
  24. From the quote it seems like crossing the border is what causes the ricochet but you'd still be a part of the bubble.
  25. While working on their screenplays?
