the two book (WotK and WoR) the normal story flow and the flasback story flow converge to a single event (the tien death in the first book, the murder of shallan father in the second), in my opinion the nightwatcher give her boon/curse play the same role in the next book

we see another two 'surgebinding fabrial' the oathgate and a curative 'fabrial',we see two time, nale used to heal sezth, the other in the 'starfall dalinar vision' used by the woman shardbear (probably a stoneward) callling it 'regrowth' (i think the power, don't the device itself). the oathgate can be used only with a living shardblade, any (nahel) spren can do this, but any shardblade cannot cut the keyhole, so this can be a spren, the spren how make the device operative, can be the parallel to the 'force' kaza felt using her soulcaster.

WoR (in world book) state the elsecaller are the KR more 'attuned' to the cognitive realm, and the lightweaver and willshaper share partialy this affinity the surge of the three order are transformation (soulcast) and transportation (elsecall), both mean to go directly in the cognitive realm and 'doing thing'

there are a theory I toyed for some time, the soulcaster and the oathgate aren't real fabrial, but something else. all fabrial we know don't interact with the ten sourge (of surgebind), they can enhace, dumper, attract, mimc movement both in the same way o the opposite. but soulcaster is someting total different, like the oathgate. all the thinking start to a fact, someone close the oathgate, the KR broke the oath, and so cannot interact in any meaningful way the with the oathgate itself, but the stormseat gate still functional, if the city fell in the (no so) last desolation, aharietiam, when the day of recreance come the city probably had alredy entombed by the crem and probably who close the path don't bother to lock that oathgate. o peraphs knowning the human need to find the city don't lockup the last pathway. and a oddity i spot now. urithiru exist before the KR, nohadon 'walk' to the city, but he predate the order, and stll the oathgate are alredy built, ok sourgebind still exist, but don't think invalid all the theory

based on dalinar though in the recreance day vision only near one hundred blade are 'accounted' on roshar, but the vision show near three hundred windrunner and stoneward, probably all the shardblade are easly over one thousand, so there is a huge amount of shard lost or forgotten. the total number is my guess: bondsmith aside the other nine order i think have rougly the same number of knight (in the wor epigraph of bondsmith there is an hint in that direction), one order don't broke their oath so the knights in total can easy are four time the number dalinar see drop their shard (two order of eight)
