It might have to do with those glyphs on Dalinar’s wall yesterday. They seemed like a countdown.” She nodded. “Have you ever seen anything like that before?” “I remember . . . something,” she whispered. “Something bad. Seeing what is to come—it isn’t of Honor, Kaladin. It’s something else. Something dangerous.” WoR Chapter 4. i alwasy find syl word very ominus

don't think renarin can spoke of thing him did. "Now, as the Truthwatchers were esoteric in nature, their order being formed entirely of those who never spoke or wrote of what they did" WoR Chapter 52
-
searching trough WoR for another matter i found "Dalinar undid his breastplate and sat down with a grunt as the surgeon ordered him a stool. He suffered the woman’s ministration, though he knew the wound was not terrible. It was bad—any wound was bad on the battlefield, particularly if it impaired the sword arm—but it wouldn’t kill him." [chapter 83, time's illusion] a woman surgeon is a common thing in the vorin/alethi society.

"It would be treated the exact same way" don't think let room for other interpretation. for a roshan the bond between szeth and nightblood is a nahel bond, the same bond a knigh radiant had with the spren. so for a roshan don't exist label difference between a 'normal' radiant and szeth, thus can call szeth a skybreaker. the same name don't mean a perfect copy, but the difference between them don't change the name you call them.

i wonder how one can join one order and cannot take the official title granted to the member of that order.

theory [OB] The Bondsmiths Killed Honour
Fulminato replied to BlackYeti's topic in Stormlight Archive
“Not just one people,” Pattern said, solemn. “Many. Spren with minds were less plentiful then, and the majorities of several spren peoples were all bonded. There were very few survivors. The one you call Stormfather lived. Some others. The rest, thousands of us, were killed when the event happened. You call it the Recreance.” the stormfather survive the recreance borkening oath, and after the splinering of honor the spren with mind are many more.- 15 replies

i undestand wery well, this is the problem. labels can be useful, but never think the label is more important of the thingh is labeled. yes a normal skybreaker is a roshan bonded to an highspren trough the character and temperament first and the oath after. but if sanderson said 'vash creatating nighblood was mimic a shardblade' the herald of justice call szeth 'his student for a skybreaker traning' i think is enough to label szeth a skybreaker. obviusly nightblood isn't a normal spren and the bond with szeth is different from a normal skybreaker bond, but the similarities are far more of the difference. do you had read egdedancer?
-
a sapient blade is more likely a piece of power shaped like a blade or a sapient piece of power how can take the shape of a blade? kaladin show some surgebind ability long before spoke the first oath (all the arrow him deflect to the bridge and thus saving his life or the sphere him drained during the highstorm). if nalan (a immortal demigod and patron of skybreaker) call szeth a 'skybreaker in training' and give him a 'shardblade' (and we know very well how shardblade and spren are tied) i suppose can call him a skybreaker and nightblood is a good repleace for an highspreen
-
nalan in the end of WoR is rater explicit. "I dubt i have ever found a man more worthy of the skybreakers than you. [...] I brought a shardblade for you. one that is a perfect match for your task and temperament" nightblood think and spoke, an honorblade is a splinter of honor whitout intelligence or sapience. edgedancer spoiler
-
nightblood is a 'spren' in a sense. o better nightblood is a shardblade replica with 'breath magic system' (we have a WoB state this). same effect in the cosmere mean same rule (a feruchemist healing is the same of stormlight healing)

i find unlikely a city with an oathgate (an ancient artifact working only with a RK) should be a listener city. and the song @King Cole point don't seem refers to a listener land. "They blame our people / For the loss of that land. / The city that once covered it / Did range the eastern strand. / The power made known in the tomes of our clan / Our gods were not who shattered these plains." —From the Listener Song of Wars, 55th stanza

"I… Well, I’m a man of extremes, Navani. I discovered that when I was a youth. I’ve learned, repeatedly, that the only way to control those extremes is to dedicate my life to something. First it was Gavilar. Now it’s the Codes and the teachings of Nohadon. They’re the means by which I bind myself. Like the enclosure of a fire, meant to contain and control it.” WotK Chapter 64. dalinar don't have forgot his yout's excess. but he don't want return the man was once, and don't indulge in his 'warlord memory' is a component of self restrain.

i think many overestimated aesudan impact on the alethi kingdom mangement. yes she is totaly corrupt, jasnah want kill her for (probably) a good reason, in the WoR timeline she make kohlinar riot, but seven years ago? aesudan truly make a move to conctat the man the blackthorn himself want forgot for good? gavilar is in the shattering plane and roshone can make his move only because dalinar his on trip to the nightwatcher. PS: a the time of roshone affair navani is the queen
-
roshone's scribe have one probably, he had been exile from kholinar, reputation broken, without any economic leverage (he owned some silversmith after all), only the blood relation with amaram have save him from become a tenner. don't think many in kholinar will be pleased with any pubblic connection with roshone but i don't state "heartstone don't have spanreed", but "the spanreed is linked to a close alethy city"
-
I find high improbable a rural alethi village like heartstone have a spanreed linked to a city placed so far, in a kingdom isn't vorin. if heartstone had a spanreed (there is a recent invention) is linked to the closest city (real city, not mere village) managed by a ligheyed family of high dahn (third/fourth) appointed by the highprince himself

Everyone can be a Voidbringer!
Fulminato replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don't think anyone can bound voidspren, chasmfiend bond a very specific spren, the same of the skyeels. "Our minds are too close to their realm" [Listener Song of Spren, 9th stanza], the listener are the only population of roshar (we know so far) how can bond different spren and be 'changed' because this. odium alredy rule roshar today, the stormfather is explicit in one of kaladin 'wind-dream' the est is alwasy at war, the ovest is better, but no so much. IIRC we have a WoB pointing to the action of shallan's father are done under some 'odium-influence' -
patter told to shallan to be the only cryptic send to bond a human and don't think he is a liar. we know the spren with mind usualy hang around a (proto)radiant, gavilar first, dalinar after are in the act to become bondsmith, her sister bonded a inkspren so some cryptic watching the kholin family is fairy normal. the question is the presence of syl make they hidden in the background?
-
the alethi society put high praise in the duelling skill, both his father and uncle was eccelent in the duelling ring, his cousin (adolin) is one the best duelist in the warcamp, but no one spoke of the elhokar performance in this regard.
-
Amaram reached up and undid it, then dropped it to the rock. He turned and started to walk away. “No!” Kaladin said, stumbling after him. “Let him go, son,” Dalinar said, sighing. “His reputation is broken.” “He is still a murderer.” “And we will try him fairly,” Dalinar said, “once I return. I can’t imprison him—Shardbearers are above that, and he’d cut his way out anyway. Either you execute a Shardbearer or you leave him free.” WoR Chapter 76: the hidden blade I don't think should be room for amaran to exit clean to the situation.

[OB] The Great Voidbringer Army
Fulminato replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
WoR Chapter 89, the four. Stormfather: THE EVERSTORM. IT IS A NEW THING, BUT OLD OF DESIGN. IT ROUNDS THE WORLD NOW, AND CARRIES WITH IT HIS SPREN. ANY OF THE OLD PEOPLE IT TOUCHES WILL TAKE ON THEIR NEW FORMS. forms, plural. -
squadleader is a functional role, 25/30 man under his command on the battlefield. kaldain is a captain, he command near one thousand men, if he will be a lighteye the correct rank should be 'battalionlord' with a captain (probably more the one) under his command to mange the troop. liutenant is normaly used for 'sergent' on only-lighteye company. kaladin is an ecception, so his command structure must be outside the normal rank system of the army
-
1 - kaldin is the first captain darkeye ever “I suppose. I’ve got your uniform over there, Captain. A darkeyed captain! Who would have thought it possible? You’ll be the only one in the army. The only one ever, so far as I know!” [WoR Chapter 2] 2 false "“I…” Kaladin trailed off. He could imagine Dallet doing something like this. He’d always said that as sergeant, part of his job was to keep Kaladin alive. “All right.”" [WotK Chapter 62]
