  1. the text of dalinar #1 flashback is the kaladin fist chapter.
  2. eventually, yea. Don't think a couple of people (dalinar, adolin and shallan) and few week can make radical change in the kaladin main mindset.
  3. hoid don't swap the blade, but probably know who made. popular teory are the herald chana, and chana are lyss (the assasin jasnah meet in the prolugue of WoR),
  4. i don't refer to the effective kaladin social place (nanh/dahn), but how kaladin see himself in the vorin social structure. a darkeye don't court a lighteye.
  5. http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=1160#34 QUESTION In the Epilogue of Words of Radiance, Jasnah is talking with Hoid and Hoid mentions a nearby village. Is it Hearthstone? BRANDON SANDERSON No it is not. Good question. Because they're out in the Unclaimed Hills somewhere. They're not even in Alethkar. edit:ninja'ed >_>'
  6. between shallan and kaladin there is a boulder, a very huge bulder. the social relation darkeyes - ligheyes for kaladin. he can be a lighteye now, but don't think he accept the shift of social standing.
  7. the hunt have a secondary goal to the remember the king's power to vamah (the cost of soulcasted wood)
  8. source? I never read/hear of this bit of information
  9. jezerin is the king of the heralds, but a king need scholar, advisor and so on, ishar is probably the most wise herald. (and the older i think, he is decipted bald)
  10. four and half milleniums worth of torture can broke any mind, and honor is dead. the honorblade are a sliver of the shard himself, probably a counduit for use the real power of the magic system (similarity with a ''mistpoint' allomancer), but the system is totaly broken now, this can make a backfire in the herald mind.
  11. don't want pass the equation metal = investiture, but metals are some focus for all shard-made magic system not only the scandrial's three metallic art. PS: italy, and my nick is a italian word. in fact a very very bad pun, but the nick struck aeons ago, so I keep him.
  12. egdedancer novella spoiler
  13. WotK, chapter 26 "Stillness" Dalinar stepped back and found himself looking down at the corpses around him, with their blackened eyes. Smoke still curled from a few. The sick feeling returned. Life ended so quickly. The Shardbearer was destruction incarnate, the most powerful force on a battlefield. Once these weapons meant protecting, a voice inside of him whispered. [...] Yet their faces—marbled black or white and red—looked so human. A parshman nurse had practically raised Dalinar. Life before death. What was that voice? we don't know all the actor in the SA. more are to come, and "There's always another secret" after egdedancer we meet another 'faction', but don't think is the last-
  14. “In short, if any presume Kazilah to be innocent, you must look at the facts and deny them in their entirety; to say that the Radiants were destitute of integrity for this execution of one their own, one who had obviously fraternized with the unwholesome elements, indicates the most slothful of reasoning; for the enemy's baleful influence demanded vigilance on all occasions, of war and of peace. ” Chapter 32, page 17 don't think the recreance have strong tied with kazilah, first are six chapter before and I suppose kazilah's affaire appened in time of peace,
  15. word of radiance (in world book) in the chapter 38 spoke a discovery of a 'wicked thing of eminence' behind the recreance, don't think can fit this teory. and don't think all radiant (nine order of ten) broke the oath in the same moment, another ephigrap "That they [the windrunner] responded immediately and with great consternation is undeniable, as these were primary among those who would forswear and abandon their oaths" point in this direction (and the recreance's dalinar vision show only windrunner and stoneward)
  16. we have a WoB on the matter i think the main difference is the lack of gemstone to powered the plate.
  17. don't think dalinar surgebind, he used the strenght and speed stormlight enhanced plus the normal power the plate lend. the helm kaladin use in the dueling ground feed in the stormlight kaladin drew to the sphere and many shardblade hit don't shattered the helm (a section of plate can hold two/three hit), so the dalinar plate use the light to hold themself and match the chasmfiend blow.
  18. the infuse gemstone used to power the plate. invested object don't interact well with another power (coinshot o lurcher had some problem to push/pull a feruchemist metalmind)
  19. the plate are tied to the cognitive realm. it can regrow, even it only the smallest piece remain. In my opinion the plate can 'know' probably because the colletive of human mind think how the plate 'shuld' behave.
  20. in the same chapter "Dalinar charged toward the king, moving with a speed and grace no man—not even one wearing Shardplate—should be able to manage." and "Dalinar held back the claw and matched its strength, a figure in dark, silvery metal that almost seemed to glow." the first quote areshow somehow similarity to a pewter mistling, and the second think is relate to the proto-radiant state of Dalinar. don't think there are some link to the power of the plate now and the order of the former radiant how 'born/builld' the suit.
  21. Kaldin alredy have some problem to simply follow order. all two book are full of kaldin disobey higher order, but he do the 'right thing' instead
  22. While i was re-reading WoR i concocted a theory for Liss. I'm not 100% confindent in it, but i think it's intersting enough to be shared inevitable Oathbringer prologue spoiler. my theory is that Liss is indeed a Herald, but Ash not Chana.
  23. you are wrong "yes, there’s someone in the middle of them. Shardbearer. Glowing armor.” Not just a Shardbearer. Radiant. A knight in resplendent Shardplate that glowed with a deep red at the joints and in certain markings. Armor did that in the shadowdays. This vision was taking place before the Recreance." WoR Chapter 4 "taker of secrets"
  24. we have a WoB (don't find it, but find reference in this topic ) on the matter. some order have squire, some not. the windrunner have a anormal high number of squire. and teft told kaladin some bridge four membre glow very faintly
