Radioactivity means decay heat. I think Kandra would realize at some point during 1000 years, that their huge pile of Atium is getting warmer, for some reason. There was so much Atium there. Also it would be weird for god metal, which is pure essence of god, to be radioactive. Unless the Shard itself is unstable, then it would make sense. Ati and Ruin looks quite stable. I think they would be able to see decay products within metal (era 2) under spectroscope - both Harmonium and Trellium had only one big spike, which means pure. Atium was not tested yet, but most likely looks the same. But I cannot wait to see how radioactivity will be used in Era 3. Radioactive Atium looks cool, tbf TLM spoiler

You do realize, the future the Seer sees, is already the one in which Atium-shadow reacted to future actions of the Seer? Basically the Seer has only an illusion of choice, as every choice that the Seer think he might do, is already predeterminated the momnet he sees Atium-shadow, and he will alway choose the very thing Atium-shadow is reacting to. It take very sperial circumstances to "split" the shadow - like Vin show us. It's time travel, it's complicated. Moreover, Pewter doesn't stop lethal strikes. If he takes on lethal hit, he will die. Atium allows you to see FEW seconds into the future. Do you know how significant it is? It takes few seconds to make multiple strikes one after another, less than a second to dodge a strike. Fights are extremely dynamic. I would rather see into the future even without skills and be able to dodge a strike before its even made, than wonder if that strike was lethal or not. Some HEMA for you: The best way to win a fight, even without skill, is to be out of range, or look for openings. Atium allows you to do that. "lean a little further forward"? and be thrown out of balance which would make perfect opening for a strike? Dodging is the number one method if you don't have a shield.

No it wasn't? Ashyn was very Earth-like, before it's destruction, all that smoke and ash came after it. Whole system was made by Adonalsium: They fled with the disaster, so they were not living in that fiery conditions. And, them switching into hign oxygen atmosphere, wouldn't cause harm, it would even slightly increased their body performance. 35% oxygen wouldn't be toxic for Earth-like human. But switching from 35% to 21% would be breathtaking. Swithching from higher gravity to lower gravity - bone loss and muscle deterioration, extreamly bad when you comming back. Plus heart and blood pressure problems. Swithching from lower gravity to higher gravity - exhausting, muscle pain, potentially slight bone problems, heart and blood pressure problems, risk of cerebral hypoxia. Swithching from lower oxygen to higher oxygen - not a big deal if below 50% and 1atm Swithching from higher oxygen to lower oxygen - shortage of breath, risk of hypoxia, for humans OSHA defines anything lower than 19.5% as oxygen-deficient and immediately dangerous to life or health.

Yes, yes we are. And we're having fun. So what's the problem? Not bad, but still how many of those would be needed and how many of those can be made with available gems. And that still doesn't resolve problems with moving in and out of fabrial range and moving, fightning troops. Imagine walking towards enemy lines and suddenly everything becomes 40% heavier. Ashynites face opposite problem - they came from Earth-like planet (higher gravity) to Roshar (lower gravity) so their muscles deteriorated and also experienced loss of bone. That might cause problems, but they were not coming back to Ashyn, as that's when it would be the most problematic. After thousands of years their bodies adapted to new environment. Astronauts on ISS have to exercise 2 hours daily to minimize effects of microgravity. But on Scadrial there is an increase of gravity, suddenly their body have do gave 140% effort. For most soldiers this would be mostly ok, other (non-combatant) would feel gravity to be problematic, and for some it will be harmful, children might develop defects in body development. All however would feel effect of higher gravity, they would get tired faster and have muscle pains. And when you combine this with lower oxygen levels it goes even worst. Not crippling or terrible, but just highly troublesome.

I will say that we've already seen this but in limited version. Parshendi played Rhythms to make food grow faster with help of Stormlight - even humans could do it. Downsingers could have done the same but to the greater extend. There might be a form that helps with hearing Rhythms and singing them, but not specifically for stoneshaping, just helping with it.

I do think shaping stones wasn't done by a form or surges, but by the Rhythms, as singers could hear natural rhythms of stone and change its frequency ever so slightly (or command it) so it would change its shape accordingly. That might be their natural ability as they were strongly connected to Roshar and its Rhythms. They just forgot it, and it might be also connected to Mishram. Also wasn't betrayal of sprens about how humans were simply more emotional and expressive so they attracted much more sprens than Listeners could? That would made singers jealous and susceptible to Odium manipulation. Abandoned by sprens and unable to defend themself from human expansion, they turned to Odium for help. There is most likely more to it, that we might not know about now. Singers might for example ask sprens to grant them forms of powers to defend themselfs and sprens refused = betrayal of sprens. Not Voidbringing, as that came later most likely. First surges were used by Heralds and first Fused, in later desolations sprens mimic them. Fused are not Voidbinders, they are Surgebinders. Voidbinding have 10 powers, not 9 like Fused. It's might be what Renarin is doing as he's bonded with corrupted spren. I doubt singers and sprens could use Voidbinding before even Fused appeared. Some WoBs about Voidbinding: Edit: Song of Secrets: So it looks like sprens granted humans some kind of surges instead of Singers, thus they turned to Odium.

I knew it! I'm definitely not too lazy to translate it myself, and not too forgetful to remember there were translated images already. One that would cover how big of an area? One that would be moved with advancing troops? Everywhere troops and people moves, you can't use that there. Acclimated? We're talking about gravity not air pressure. They can get use to feeling of increased weight, but higher gravity will still have effects on them. It would affect thier muscles, bones, heart and blood pressure. That would be especially harmful to non-combatant, workers, craftsmen, women and extremely dangerous to kids. Effects wouldn't be drastic but it will cause trouble and harm, as they constantly have to uphold 40% more of their body weight plus everything they have to carry. It's not something that you can just acclimate beforehand and forget about it. They would have to exercise daily for hour or two just to develop and keep their muscles in shape so they can uphold their increased body weight. Combine that with lower oxygen levels and they might even get mild oxygen deficiency in brain.

By that statement I do understand that he is being invested by Harmony, just enough to be physically/spiritually fully present in Cognitive Realm, so he could talk to those who died before going to the Beyond. Harmony have to actively invest him, and then take it away. More than there is in Bands but less in Well of Ascention. Would that make him a Sliver? He would be close to it maybe, but by Coppermind definition: Is point three met? He doesn't use it up, nor release it, it's taken away from him at most. Is there even enough investiture to met point two? He also doesn't hold that Investiture constantly, so not an avatar as well. Harmony could just transfer him to CS himself, but then Marsh would have to walk to everyone that he wants to meet - not practical. So Marsh must experience something like Wax did in BoM, but without dieing part. So it would have to be just to disconnect his soul, without harming the body, and allow it to manifest and move around freely in CR. I would say his something else, less than a Sliver but close. About stories that could be just worldhoppers gossiping or purposeful action by someone. That could easily be Harmony, as he likes religions, he likes when they are being spread around and talked about. Or Kelsier, to warn potential enemies, that the old and powerful defener is still active on Scadrial. Or believers of Marsh just talking about Death. I do have a different question. Does Marsh wants to play death and meet souls, or is it just Harmony pushing him to do it, and Marsh just doesn't want to sadden or insult his only remaining friend?
-
I see it now. Don't tell me you got translated arts in english books? So they can only affect one person, or small region. So it still would be limiting and impractical to implement. Like advansing army, scouts, logistics, all would have to have personal one, and those could be easliy damage by near explosion, and they won't affect equipment and stuff needed to be carried. Why personal and not regional? If a person with regional fabrial goes further away from the rest of the group, get killed or gem gets shattered, all would feel gravity again. And if everybody would have regional one, they would interfere with each other. Now the question is can Navani make millions of those in several weeks before invasion starts to supply everyone and to cover every camp and place they need? No for sure. I would say kandra soul would still be closer to human one than Fused soul to listener. How much closer? we don't know, it's RAFO for now.
-
Yes, that's an obvious way. But what if Autonomy did not directly interfere at all, and it was all because of fundamental property of Trellium that made her more independent? Can spikes made out of god metal alone change or influence thoughts and actions of person who was spiked by it aligning them with intent of an Shard?
-
I don't remember any gravity fabrials, nor does Coppermind, are you talking about pairing fabrials? Windrunners can do it, but that's on relatively small area, and above 3rd ideal. And we are talking about camps of hundreds of thousands of people, extended frontlines, scouts, long logistic chains etc - even with 10000 Windrunners you wouldn't cover all operation areas. Not to mention, that would require almost doubling atmospheric pressure, which would cause other problems. You not only breathing 2x more oxygen but also nitrogen and CO2. Nitrogen can cause troubles - mild nitrogen narcosis. CO2 is toxic. Not to mention leaving area of increased pressure, can cause rapid decompression of pressurised air in your lungs ruptoring them, and damage to other parts of your body that holds air. And experiencing discomfort as there is twice as much air pressing on your skin. Not a nice concerns when you are in the middle of invasion. Hemalurgy changes their souls but not to the extreme levels of CS, which are highly invested. I do agree that there can be more, but it's lacking Harmony. There is lots of stuff that we know how they works, and can be significantly used in war, but we are not including them on Roshar's side, but only like 4 on Scadrial's - ships, medalions, primer cubes and more Harmonium in stocks. We've already talked about ships and their vulnerability, medalions can be usefull but have big limitations like cubes. And nothing more is known about Malwish and their technology. So in my opinion there isn't much to discuss about unify Scadrial.
-
We didn't but I don't think we needed to. We've already have enough to put the pieces together. Becasuse of Harmony's demands towards her, she ends up getting "killed" to force Wax onto path that Harmony wants him to be. But she did love Wax. So we can imagine how angry she might get on Harmony, and what was she thinking. She decided that Harmony needs to stop playing with people, that she needs to free them from Harmony. And that's most likely led to meeting with Set and obtaining the spike. I wouldn't say she was controlled by Autonomy, nor she was insane. She just really thought she needs to stop Harmony from using people as a tool so nobody would ever got hurt like Wax was, that people would be better off without Harmony - which aligns with Autonomy intent and plans. And that's why she did what she did, with Set help. At least that's how I understand it. She loved Wax, after death, she asked Harmony to look after him. Edit: I do think that Autonomy spike influenced her and made her focused more on achieving independence. But that raise a question. If she had a spike of some other shard, like Endowment, would it make her more giving? Would Lerasium spike made her more preserving?
-
I wouldn't call Wayne a Sword. Wax is personification of Ruin, he brings balance by killing. Wayne on the other hand always restrained himself from killing, mostly never used a gun, used only canes when fighting, he even stoped Wax from killing the last group of guards on top of the Tower in Bilming, and his final act was to safe, protect and preserve city of Elendel. Wayne is not a Sword, he's a Shield of Harmony. He brings balance by preserving. Both Sword and Shield allows Harmony to act as he wants without struggling with his opposing intents.

One of them will destroy us (Champion theory)
alder24 replied to Zapata's topic in Stormlight Archive
The world ended, and Shallan was to blame.- Words of Radiance, Chapter 10 That might be true. But losing or winning contest of champions will not cause any more damage to Roshar, war will end either way. But draw or stoping the fight on the other hand. I do think that Dalinar might intervene in a fight, if he won't be a champion, or refuse to fight if he is, both would put him in Odium's hand, and that would cause damage, or even death to Stromfather, ending the world in endless rain, as many Death Rattles predict this. So Dalinar would "destroy us". I've written more about in the topic "Loophole in the contract". However it might be that someone would manage to fix this by the end of SA 5 by releasing BAM, restoring Stormfather and thus "redeeming us". And who is trying to find BAM to prevent her from falling into hands of Ghostbloods? Shallan! She will save us. -
They are CS, Kandra are not. I do agree, this disscusion is fun and entertaining for me too. Don't get me wrong, it's not about Nightblood or changing assumptions we've made, I just feel that we've discussed all we could, and there are just small bits that could be added. Like I'm pretty sure, that if Roshar were to invade Basin, Malwish would join - on the invaders side. The tensions after TLM were left at just too high level for them to just watch. There is also other thing that we've barely touch - differences between those two planets. And that would be the most significant factor in that war, as Roshar and Scadrial are too unlike. The beautiful Coppermind provides us with every number about Roshar that is important - I was ready to calculate that myself. Mass, radius, gravity etc - perfect. I wish every planet page had numbers like that. The only number missing is the oxygen level, but we could assume it's similar Earth's around 350 million years ago - 35% - the biggest it's ever been on Earth. Scadrial is considered to be very Earth-like, 1 Cosmere standard. That would mean that every Rosharians would have to face 40% bigger gravitational acceleration (6.86 m/s2 vs 9.81 m/s2) and also around 40% lesser oxygen levels (35% vs 21%). And that is a huge thing. Everyone would be 40% heavier, and they would feel being constantly crushed by gravity, without oxygen they need so much. It would be like climbing up mountain 4000 meters high while carrying almost half of your body mass in addition (and that's without including equipment). To say it would be exhausting is an understatement. It would make them unable to fight as they're are now totally off balance, with much heavier weapons, shields and armors, gasping for breath all the time. Logistics would be completely off, as everyone can't carry what they used to, and each box is much heavier than on Roshar. Using animals from Roshar would be an abuse, as they would suffer the same way. This alone would be an nightmare, affecting everyone, even Radiants. Radiants would have to heal constantly to compensate lower oxygen levels, and muscles exhaustion or bone defects as they are forced to uphold 40% more weight than they used to. But the feeling of being crushed by gravity would remain. Only Windrunners and Skybreakers (Szeth) can manage this but they might face some other problem. On Roshar they use lashings using Roshar's gravitational acceleration - here on Scadrial it's speculative if they would instinctively switch to Scadrial's one, or still try to use Rosharian acceleration value for lashings, which would require retraining and would cause lots of mistakes and problems for Windrunners. But regular people, which are the vast majority of the invasion force, won't have such luxury. Soldiers would deal with it better than others, as they are trained and have much stronger muscles. But all camp workers, craftsmen, women and children would suffer immensely, as their body is just not prepared for this and their would lack strength to uphold their own mass. Combined with oxygen deprivation, this would cause damage to body, muscles, bone, heart and brain. Even horneaters would have troubles in that environment, they would tolerate oxygen levels, but not gravity. It's not that encouraging when most of your invasion forces suffers as soon as they place their foot on Scadrial even without enemy in sight. That would be true nightmare.
-
I would say it's similar to how Wax almost died in BoM. Both had their bodies broken and unable to live any further, but they were repaired fast enough so their souls could go back to it - and that's what Nale's fabrial did, heal Szeth's body before his soul went to the beyond. His afterimage is not visible to everybody but to those with sufficient Investiture or connection to the Cognitive Realm. It may be that this fabrial reconnected his soul to his body or strengthen that connection when it was weakening - it was not perfect. Or just that his body stoped working, but it still takes time for brain to stop as well, so when body got repaired, brain was still alive.
-
Each spren is different and easily recognisable. Kandra were human once, so their souls might be very close to human soul. He would consume exponentially more and more, he won't be safe. He would have to have Dalinar feeding him all time, but even that at some point might not be enough. Not to mention extreme pain it causes to use Nighblood. And you've got one city of 5 mil people to destroy, with diameter of around 15 km. That's long and painful trip. Do you think it's just to vaporise buildings, houses, factories full of innocent people, harming and killing them in process? It's just to kill non-combatant people? It's just to cause harm on civilians? It's just to causing hunger, homelessness and destruction of private properties? We changes premise to better predict what can be done and be realistic. United Roshar and Scadrial is not possible. We don't know what Malwish can do, what technology they have, we know almost nothing about them, so it's hard to place them in that conflict. We know more about Fused and Parsh, but still there is a lot of things we don't know about them, only 7/9 types of Fused were presented to us. On both worlds both factions are either in war or are hostile. Do you think that was not reasonable to do? We have hard time speculating what Roshar can do in 10 years. The only reasonable Ghostbloods interference I talked about was to pass information about incoming attack, and maybe some more about enemy Scadrial will face - despite that the main Ghostbloods goal is to protect Scadrial, so it's unreasonable to exclude them from active protection. Yet I think their unique skills change nothing in bigger war picture. I don't know if you noticed but I tend to avoid talking about what metalborns can do with their fancy abilities, and focus more on what regular people, tactics, war effort and logistic can achieve instead, as that's more important in war than useful but extremely limited and rare powers. The same way I treat Roshar, but with little bigger role of Radiants. It is reasonable to bring in Nightblood? Yes, he's part of Dalinar's coalition, in hand of Skybreaker, who would most likely be part of invasion force. So it's reasonable and logical to include him. But does it make sense for us to bring him in? It's Nightblood, nothing can counter it, it killes Vessels, chops off parts of Honorblades, collapses perpendicularieties, and consumes souls for breakfast. The only downsides to Nightblood are morality of its usage and his constant need for Investiture. So yes, he can be used the way you propose, with breaks so wielders won't get consumed. It can't be countered. It's Nightblood What is the point of further discussion then? I could counter everything you say with H-T bomb, and you could counter with Anti-light bomb, and then we are in the middle of nowhere, achieving nothing. To be fair, I feel like we're slowly reaching end of discussion. We talked about how different powers could be used in this war, how they could be countered, how they could be protected from countering them etc. Less about general tactics, strategies and logistics in this war. Still a lot of fun and weird thnigs can happen in that war. We reached no conclusion or agreement, that's fine. I do agree that Radiants are powerful and hard to fight with, and they will be spearhead of Rosharian advance. Roshar is a formidable opponent, but only Radiants are saving them. Yet I hope that at least, with the assumptions we've made, I have shown that Scadrial can do damage, can be very hard to conquer and control. They can do a lot and have a real chance to defend themself successfully, which would be very difficult to do. Without those assumptions I still think that any interplanetary invastion for those two is impossible logistically and militarily in current time. Maybe within next eras it will change.

No. Adolin was my favorite PoV in RoW. He turned our eyes away from people with god like powers, and grand war theater to more grounded, non-powered person, with regular problems, like diplomatic mission, saving his marriage, dealing with his father's past etc. Adolin is the last non-powered character who still is PoV(exept Navani who become Bondsmith) and I think that's important, as we can easily forget how Desolation is viewed by regular people. We already lost unique Interludes that used to show us new parts of Roshar with new characters. Adolin gives us this opportunity as he also is good, social and empathetic person, thinking and taking care of people weaker and lower than he is. Which was greatly shown during Battle of Thaylen. He has flaws, he is spoiled and entitled, but he's not behaving like that. He chooses to be nice to everyone, to make them laugh, have fun together, and help those who need this. He is a good person who knows what are his responsibilities, what is his position, and what can he do with what he got for betterment of others. He accepts his lower position in new world with Radiants and Surges and still tries to make a difference. And he does not have anger issue. How would you face someone who betray you and left you to die on a battlefield? Someone who betray your best friend Brigdeboy? Someone who hurt your friend and used her as a tool? How would you face your father who killed your mother? Adolin has every right to be angry and he still hold back quite well. But I agree, I was hoping for some repercussion for killing Sadeas. Moreover his duels and fight scenes are just great. Fight with Tukari was perfect.

Here's another WoB
-
I reread first RoW Venli chapter, she can tell this because Fused's souls are different from Listners's one, and she was coming from above. And your WoB you posted few days ago about recognising differences in souls mention that it's a skill to learn and master. In WoK Rysn "set the fabrial on people in the caravan" (translation) and doesn't specify more. But both, people already in range, and setting each person/group specifically are highly impractical in a war camp with lots of people moving in and out of range of each fabrial every moment. Tbf I notice that regular armor is just rare in Brandon's books. Occasionally we got a breastplate, like one Kaladin was supposed to get in WoR and never used it (or mention it), or the one officer wore during battle on the Tower (WoK), that somehow did not protect him from cut through stomach (the very thing it is supposed to do). I got the impression that Rosharians walks into the battle in uniforms only. Picking up a weapon is like 1 minute max, putting on an armor and fitting it in is very time consuming. The code mostly applies to officers, but regular footman have to be always ready for battle. That means wearing an armor, or at least it won't be a wierd thing to wear an armor in a war camp, during active war, with battles happening "close by". Yes, singers are not part of that war, impersonating radiant is not necessary, but possible by bonding a spren. The only thing kandra from Roshar needs to do is to teach other Kandra about Roshar and languages. Khem Khem professor Snape: You can use it as a source of information at least. Nightblood is Nighblood, there isn't much to do about it, but it would devour its user faster than it would make significant damage to Scadrial. Like very fast, few minutes at best. Buildings don't offer much Investiture for Nightblood. Unless you are willing to sacrifice thousends of your people to be fully consumed by ever-hungry-evil-killing-soul-consuming-piece-of-happy-metal, than yes, go ahead. How long it will take for a people next in line to stab their officers with Nightblood instead and run away? Edit: Or Scadrial needs to outlaw any foreign invasion, good luck using Nighblood in hands of Szeth.
-
It is a big advantage. But Venli was able to see only in close proximity. Covering the entire camp of tens of thousands closely packed man and spotting one Kandra in or without an armor would be extreamly hard. And additional question - how easy is to spot kandra by soul? Did we see that in SH? Except by spikes. And does Alerter fabrials can be set to disregard all Rosharsians or just those who were in range of it when activated as we saw in WoK (the only place where it was used?)? Sensitive senses can prevent falling asleep (or unconscious like Mistborns are doing with burning tin) but that would not be a great experience. Yes, because regular soldier or worker would get invited to a feasts full of nobility. I meant stories about allomancers controlling/hurting kandra, before TenSoon told Vin, were absent. I think so, I might be wrong. Never? And what about someone that is carried by misting burning atium? But you are right, they would have to burn metals constantly or in the moment Renarin is having visions - not a great chances. I did not think about it. Right, I focused too much on redheaded people. But kandra is already on Roshar:
-
He have guards, he had attempts on his life, but that doesn't mean that Scadrial won't try it. Only one successful attempt is needed to win the war. And the supply between main camp and frontlines? Frontlines and guard posts? There is whole bunch of places needed to be supply and it all goes through Dalinar and only/mostly him. And Kandra eats people, so it won't be a problem for them to take on a character. 1. I don't know to be fair, but there are at least 2 bleassings that helps with that - Blessing of Presence and Blessing of Awareness. So they can manage it. 2. They follow the Code, and are prepare to battle anytime. MaLaan ends on Roshar, so she will learn their language and learn others. And wouldn't translation medalions be of use here? With such strong Rosharian presence the groud might get connected to Roshar, allowing them to use medalions. What do you think about it? So it's "possible" as it's connection manipulation (which applies to anything the regular way), the same way allomancers can do it, which was forgotten utill Vin discovered it by connecting dots. Just because something is possible doesn't mean they will know about it and attempted doing that. Maybe not foil but thin metal plates, properly made and silenced with material would be enought to look like sleeping or living in a camp. And there would be tens of thousands of people in a camp, with whole bunch of materials, building (visible in CR not like in Roshar), metal, armor etc - spotting a Kandra in all of this will be extremely hard even if he wouldn't be that careful. But Renarin's visions works different than Kelsier fighting. And I'm talking about a very little effect. It's not hard to imagine electrum misting seeing himself being pushed on the ground, and acting before it happens by turning around, catching someone else who triped and felt and making a long lasting frendship with him. That will have an effect on Renarin's abilities. We saw that in RoW, things and people close to Renarin, are hard to be seen by Odium because Renarin sees the future and acts, changins it, which comes in conflict with every little detail in a long run. Just avoiding hole in the ground that would make misting triped changes the future. Butterfly effect.
-
How is Nazh's gun working? Out of topic. Yes, during battle he's on the back, he can be in CR. But my point is he's not a guy that would spend the entire war in CR, he wants to be with soldiers, with officers, with camp workers, he wants to be with them, inspect camps and armies, interact with people, boost morale with his presence. And that's when he's vulnerable Not as his escort, but supply escort. And kandra doesn't need to sleep and take off his armor. How would Bondsmith take control over kandra? Why would they guard place where Dalinar is? Supplies has to be delivered from CR, gems to Dalinar, that requires workers not Radiants. And kandra-spy might get reassign to CR. Kandra can also wear clothes with aluminum or metal foil sewn into it. Electrum and atium mistings would cloud also people around them, just a little bit, as their interaction with others might get change or influence just wxtreamly slightly by using those metals - butterfly effect. And Renarin must also interpret his visions, they are useful, but not without downsides. I did say that they might try to imitate what Set was doing, and gather metalborns and Investiture in one place. And that was just one of few propositions on how to get into CR. Placing too much Harmonium in one place can make perpendicularity just by itself. So Harmonium and metalborns might create perpendicularity. It's speculations at this point of how much Automomy was necessary there, did she just provide raw investiture or there was something more that she needed to do, I do agree that there might be something more to it, it's most likely, we don't know for sure yet. But Scadrial might try to replicate that, and they know that Harmonium itself might colapse into perpendicularity. Allik was concerned that Wax might store too much Harmonium in one place, despite Wax thinking that he doen't have that much Harmonium, so we don't know how much Harmonium is needed for it, and it's hard to predict. Moreover Scadrial has most likely 2 Harmony's perpendicularities, one is safely guarded far in the south (by Malwish?), and second one might be in southern Roughs (newspaper article). This idea isn't my main point or important one at all. I know that it has limitations and might not work. I don't give it that much attention, as there are better alternatives, but Scadrial still might try doing that and at this point we don't know what would happen.
-
Yes, Autonomy was involved in this one for sure. However I failed to see how this WoB proves that ONLY Autonomy/Shard can do it. Autonomy is heavily invested on Taldain, making her bound to it and unable to leave and manifest perpendicularity on different planets. Somehow, she is doing it, when she shouldn't. If the same preconditions were met without Shard influence, then perpendicularity might form, as we don't now what are those conditions. And we know making perpendicularities is not something only for shards, and anyone can do it. A little yes, but Roshar has half its logistic roads cut off. I would say still that Roshar is hurt more than Scadrial, as for Scadrial they would still have to sneak past Rosharians or take it by force. We've already talked about it. Making guns requires more than Roshar has. Soulcasting won't make it. But that's no Nightblood. And how that works still? No, he don't yet he still like being present on/near a battlefield, even if periodically, like in WoK, WoR, WoR. His presence with soldiers boost their morale, makes them proud and more disciplined - he would still wander among regular soldiers and camp workers just to help with his visit. That's the man he is. Which is a regular piece of armor of an late medieval period? Chainmail, partially plated armor, full plate armor etc - that's a norm. They just need to be close to it to rushed toward it when he opens it. With him being a spy for longer, he could get assigned as an escort for a cargo, or guard in close proximity to it. And those are, except enlightenment Thruthseekers? If you are counting Death Rattles I would stop you right here. Renarin can't see-see the future, he won't be able to see war strategy of Scadrial, or battlefield tactics and deployment. Ane electrum and atium users will interfere with Renarin's visions. And it's not like he can control what he sees.

Which Roshar has no ability to make? I doubt you could get Nightblood-gun from Nightwatcher. How would that gun even work? It would consume bullets you're trying to fire. And Nightblood-bullet would consume the gun. Unless made of aluminium, but than good luck finding, recovering and reloading the gun, you have to put it back in new cartridge case with gunpowder in it, which would be consumed by the bullet. But that's a fun idea. Scary but fun. Like shooting mini black holes. It is, but Dalinar is doing it on the battlefield, not in Urithiru far away from it. TLM ch 59, both pure investiture and invested individuals are important in creating perpendicularity. That one was a surprise to the Set, as they did not expect it to be there and had to cover it from the community. Scadrial doesn't use it, don't rely on CR at all, so it doesn't hurt Scadrial. It hurts Roshar as they can have 2 ways into CR, and move Dalinar so him and perpendicularity can both supply different fronts of the war. We've already talk about it, I'm not jumping back into that hole again. Yes you can, but armor is made out of metal, metal is glowing in Scadrial's CR, blinding anyone looking at it - put a person in a metal armor and their soul can't be looked at in CR.
