  1. I've got a thought. What if one of the Surges we haven't found yet is "Growth" or "life" (the natural biochemical energy that is responsible for natural healing and growth). Regrowth would then be a form of Surgebinding using that particular Surge. Sort of like a Reverse Lashing enhancing something's gravitational pull, this would use Light to supercharge the surge of Growth.
  2. What if Uruthiru is at some sort of natural energy focus? Maybe you can't open gates anywhere except to or from urithiru because of something to do with the magic system?

    Atium Alloys

    +1 for clever ideas.
  4. You can't pull on spikes except with the mists.
  5. Honor could also have set up this journal with a little instruction tag on it saying "Play these messages if Odium kills me."
  6. I don't think we can trust that the percentages in our world are acurate. Allomantic metals don't necessarily correspond to the ordinary form of that metal. (Kel discusses this point when he's explaining that you have to test your metals before burning them).
  7. Attracting bad luck (so that i could give somebody else good luck.
  8. I'm guessing that the 17th Shard agents are required to send reports back to 17th Shard HQ on what they find about the magic. That's what we're reading.
  9. +1 for "traincarspren"
  10. A friend of mine agrees that the Dustbringers are Order 2 and share Pressure with the Windrunners. He also thinks the second Dustbringer surge is Heat, which fits with the third Order's focus on fire.
  11. I believe this half is probably true.
  12. Plus this adds a whole new dimension to the capital punishment issue. Execute someone for committing murder, and society gains a Hemalurgic spike for some good use.
  13. We do know two others: Duralumin is 96% aluminum and 4% copper (see the metallurgist's note in early WoA) and electrum is 55% gold and 45% silver. (The Lord Ruler gives the ratio)
  14. Since we never see a Herald using Surgebinding, is it possible that the Dawnsingers were ten immortal, super-powerful surgebinders who fought beside the Heralds?
  15. Or it could be that the symbolspren are only showing themselves in one specific way for now, to get their hosts a little bit accustomed to them.
  16. This still aplies, though. Whatever he was doing with the atium, he certainly wasn't spending all of it.
  17. And this one is: Lordier Ruler.
  18. I believe the name for this combo is: Lord Ruler.
  19. CraftyGames People, I think you made a slight mistake w/ the properties of Feruchemical copper. It says that when you store a memory in a coppermind, it can only return while tapping and can never be altered in any way. The first of these points implies that the memory goes away again when you release copper. What I thought was that tapped memories were treated exactly like regular memories, (i.e. they decayed normally and remained when you released copper) but that Keepers usually stored their memories again as soon as they were done with them to slow decay. Sazed mentions in the early WoA that copper memories grow fuzzy if you tap them too often, as the brief instances of decay add up. Also, I thought that if you learned something new relevant to a particular memory, you could simply add that to what you stored. Please work out whether I'm misunderstanding you, you misstated, or I'm just wrong on how copper works. My apologies if this is rudely phrased, and thank you for a wonderful game!
  20. Maybe the truthspren have been deliberately erasing themselves from her Memories because it wasn't time for her to find out about them.
  21. Actually, we're pretty sure that Wax's earring is made from an old Hemalurgic spike, so it is Hemalurgically charged.
  22. No, because he kept the other 90% in the Homeland, waiting for the Three Hundred to come along and burn it.
  23. Or there could be a war between the Elendel people, who have the Three Arts (if necessary, Marsh can reintroduce Hemalurgy), and the Southern Barbarians with modern technology.
  24. That's because the 300 years required for the atium crystals to regenerate after Kelsier destroyed all of them have just barely elapsed. Atium could easily become more available in MT2 times than in MT1. (Since TLR only spent about a tenth of what he mined into circulation).
  25. I suspect the Red Ajahs (male and female) will be responsible for policing channelers, and possibly for policing everyone. Sort of a "lawkeeper's Ajah"
