  1. Endowment does not think white is a color at all.
  2. Wait a minute, we're forgetting something. It's impossible to sail any direction but west if you're going to sail in a Highstorm. Derethil may very well have wanted to sail all the way around the world. As for Thought's thoughts (that was on purpose), Elithanathile is symmetrical because it is sacred, just like a ketek.
  3. I'm pretty sure the Memories are an expression of her second Surge. We know she has Transformation and one other surge. Detection, maybe? Awareness?
  4. For one thing, Harmony has got one of the most powerful Intents possible. With both protective and destructive powers, he might be dangerous enough that Odium wants to save him for last. Also, it is possible that Odium hasn't attacked Scadrial because he's been too busy with his grand master plan to get rid of Honor for always and eternity. On your other points, I suspect "The Broken One" refers more to a moral than a numinous breaking, especially since Hoid says that Odium "holds the most frightening and dangerous of the Shards."
  5. I would guess that it would look something like the LTT/Rand split-personality up through TOM.
  6. Honor "filmed" the Recreance, so he was around then.
  7. The Ten Essences, ten heralds, and ten radiant orders are all directly part of the magic system, and I think the ten kingdoms might follow from the Heralds.
  8. Sazed does say that Ashmount ash shouldn't have been solid black, that ordinary ash is more gray. And we do know that Preservation's mist is white and Ruin's is black.
  9. Upvotes for an exceptionally good signature.
  10. I think even damaged Plate blocks. Remember, Szeth had to open Gavilar's armor before he could collect that Light.
  11. We know Honor was still alive during the Desolations because he recorded views of the Knights Radiant, who didn't show up until several Desolations had passed.
  12. to defenestrate thworples.
  13. The bigger a gem, the more Light it holds. This is why broams are more valuable than marks are more valuable than chips. Also, various cuts can increase a gem's charge limit. The type of gem does not affect the charge, instead the values of different types of gems are fixed based on Soulcasting properties.
  14. I have a counter-theory that also explains all facts: the Highstorms were originally created by Honor with only a fragment of their current destructive power (they still carried the Light). Then Odium comes along and pours a bunch of his power into the Highstorms, ramping them up to what we have today. Honor couldn't stop the storms because that would also stop the Light.
  15. I just spotted Sarene in the middle of this book, disguised as an Aes Sedai! How in the Ten Worlds did she get there?
  16. Remember, if Rand hadn't used the Eye, the Forsaken would have, and that might have been enough power to blow apart all of the seals on the Dark One's prison. Also, It's possible that when Rand hit the cable connecting Aginor to the Dark One, there might have been some sort of backlash that weakened the Dark One's powers, reversing the Blight.
  17. I like the first part of your theory (that each Shard has its own color) a lot, but I think the Triumvirate inference is unsound for one simple reason: Parshendi and parshmen are known to have skin marbled in red, black and white. Therefore, it is immensely more probable that the "wall of red, black, and white" is referencing an assualting horde of parshmen/Parshendi. I would venture to guess, by the way, that Devotion's color is either silver (because Elantrians turn silver) or gold (to fit the "Red and Gold" quote, since we know devotion and Dominion are complements). Though this theory does seem to hit a snag with Endowment, who seems to be related to every color at once. Also, I do not agree that "Shards each seem to have a number associated with then. Honor, for example, is 10, while preservation is 16." I think there is a different explanation for the numbers, given here:
  18. I just got to the bit where Thom is guessing at what the WoT story will become in another few Ages "Thom Merrilin... the hero of it... Not a gleeman, but what? Who can say? Not eating fire, but breathing it. Hurling it about like an Aes Sedai...Merrilin, the mysterious hero, toppling mountains and raising up kings." Sound familiar?
  19. It is.
  20. No. There are tens surges and ten orders. Each order gets two surges, and each surge is used twice. The Windrunners are Order 1. They have the Surges of Gravity and Pressure. The lashings are how they manipulate those two surges. The Stonewards are the Eighth Order, and we don't know what surges they have, but they can't have Gravity or Pressure because Surges are only shared between adjacent orders.
  21. I've completed TGH! About your concern, Ryan, I think the clothes would allow tracking by scent. Darkhounds almost certainly can do that, and maybe some kinds of Trollocs can, not to mention Darkfriends with regular dogs.
  22. This has way too many adjectives and descriptors for a description of such a quick-happening event. I like "swearing at no one in particular", though!
