Real Name: Rathil Aliases and Nicknames: Firerust, Bolt, Wisp, Knife, the Shattered Soul Eyes: Hazel, but can be varied Hair: Brown, but can be vaired Physical Appearance: Large in stature but rather unassuming Personality: Secretive, brooding, domineering, quiet but commanding, calm but short-tempered, vengeful, curious, secretly adventurous Family: Many family members and family friends previously: none currently; all dead now Weapons: Daggers made of obsidian, stone, and glass, special dagger made from a silver-aluminum alloy, fists, persuasion Investiture-related abilities: I'm not only a Seer (Atium Misting) when I'm on Scadrial, but I've been burning atium for so long that I've become a savant. I can now anticipate the near future even when not burning the metal and when I do, I can see the future so precisely that I can even tell what people are going to say before they say it by lip-reading. My savantism that comes from constant burning of the metal has caused me to become closely connected to the Spiritual Realm, as well as widening the cracks in my soul to accommodate other forms of Investiture. For example: When on Roshar, I am capable of breathing in Stormlight, which heals my injuries and enhances my physical abilities, but I am incapable of accessing any of the Surges and truly becoming a Knight Radiant. When on Threnody, the shades ignore me for reasons not completely known to me. Perhaps my soul is so broken, they see me as one of their own. Figures. Skills and Abilities: Though I do no wish to brag, I will simply state the facts: I am a skilled fistfighter and knife fighter, I am rather proficient in lip-reading, I'm easily persuasive and secretive to the point of being able to create a secretive underground criminal business multiple times over, and I am a master thief of valuable resources (i.e. atium, obsidian, Rosharan spheres, etc).

Well, seeing as I already am a thief in the Luthadel underground (OC backstory), I'd like to be a member of the Ghostbloods for a change. Understand their objectives, know their leaders, visit other Shardworlds for dubious purposes... it actually sounds quite fun to one such as I. Would you rather be suffocated to death by the Deepness or crushed underfoot by a Thunderclast?

When you find yourself comparing your seething hatred of the sight of anything Frozen-related to Kaladin's seething hatred of anything Amaram-related. And then you remember how you used to think highly of Frozen just like Kaladin used to think highly of Amaram. Which makes you hate it even more. When you seriously start to wonder if your favorite Sanderson series is Mistborn or the Stormlight Archive. (Seriously, this is starting to become a moral dilemma for me. I love them both so much.)

When you find such a similarity between the Herald Nale and Inspector Javert that you start creating a parody of the Les Miserables song Stars from Nale's perspective, but then you get to the lyrics "the flame, the sword" and realize that it reminds you of Lightsong's nightmares instead. When you wish at least one of Sanderson's books could be made into a musical.

Funnily enough, my first thought for casting Sarene was... Shallan Davar. Guess I just see them as too similar, lol. Colin Farrell as Hrathen and John Boyega as Shuden sound just right. Now I'm gonna see their faces over the characters whenever I reread Elantris. And here's a random thought -- Timothy Spall as Wyrn?
