  1. 4 would be too easy. 6 is too hard to keep track of. 5 is perfect. PS- I don't think there's some special in World reason
  2. I don't think a spren would choose a blind person to bond with
  3. Boy is storms a silly curse word and used so much!
  4. Useful to what? Fixing my cracked phone screen? Mowing my yard?
  5. I think lots of people like rhythm and to work to rhythms....

    Moash

Yes, he's the type of person who knows that the world is cruel and hard. Moash didnt experience the cells with his grandparents, but dont forget that he was a slave.
  7. Nope. Why does Lopen have a mid fade?
  8. I didnt indicate that it was impossible. I just dont like it. That would take a ridiculous amount of stormlight to pull off and the characters would be able to summon their fuel source anytime? Sounds boring.
  9. I don't care for this theory. That would take a lot of stormlight
  10. Hoping for Moash as the third lead.
  11. 1. Moash...... 2. Dalinar 3. Kaladin 4. Szeth 5. Jasnah
  12. -Kaladin hogging the spotlight. -Seeing only the same main Radiants. -Adolin becoming an Edgedance through his dead blade.....just....no. Please, no. -The contents of Oathbringer (including Dalinar killing his wife) being swept under the rug.
  13. How can you confidently assert that something does not exist when you have no idea as to what that thing that you are discussing actually is or does or means? Now we've circled around to the user's initial post: defining something is not an assertion of the things existence. I do not believe that fairies exist. However I can define fairy. Whether my definition aligns with that of others is not in any way relevant to the fact that I can tell you what I believe a fairy to be without believing that a being which fits my criteria can be found in nature. I don't think it's possible to assert that religion and god dont exist OR do exist when you literally have no ability to comprehend or define those terms. In honesty, I don't understand how this section regarding using the scientific method actually responds to the comment you quoted. To answer the OP: I believe that Jasnah would define god as an unseen, unknown, and unknowable being which is worthy of worship of some kind.
  14. I wish there was some way other than through upvotes that I could recognize @agrabes and @Debarra for their work in this thread to provude such clear and compelling arguments. This is the most interesting thread Ive encountered on this site in years. Why does it matter if the user's definition of fairy is accurate? Why does it matter if others have different definitions? What matters is that the user has a definition to reference when working to confirm or verify whether something is a fairy. Why does the Russian or African's definition invalidate the definition posited by the user? Also notice that the Russian and African disagree with the notion that the winged tiny woman is a fairy because they have their own criteria that a being must meet to be considered by them as a fairy. If we add Jasnah to the equation, wouldn't you expect her to have her own criteria to use as a basis if she is certain that a winged tiny woman is not a fairy? What exactly would she believe is preventing such a creature from being a fairy?
  15. Moash just learned to fight the other day. I assume that the other Heralds are not insensible as Jezrien was and that Moash wouldnt be able to kill them simply because he lacks the skill and power needed to do so.
  16. Jezrien is the only herald that Moash could kill.
  17. Bondsmiths: I cannot imagine Jaime as a Bondsmith. Who is he uniting? Robert Baratheon is a better fit. Jon Snow and Dany are right where they belong. Windrunners: Ned Stark and Brienne as Windrunners? Yes. Cat, Blackfish and Rob though? No; why would they be in that group? I would also add Davos here. Lightweavers: This group is spot on. Cersie would totally fail while Sansa rapidly develops. Skybreakers: Stannis is the only person I can see fitting this group. Maybe Arthur Dayne and Gerold Hightower due to their prioritizing oaths over what is morally right. Elsecallers: Mel I can see as an Elsecaller. Brandon Stark though? Edgedancers: Septon Maribald, the Elder Brother, and Eddard Stark Willshapers: The Red Viper and The Wandering Wolf I dont know enough about the other orders to say.
  18. Oathbringer Chapter 16: Wrapped Three Times - In visions, Honor had left Dalinar with a task. Vex Odium, convince him that he can lose, and appoint a champion. He will take that chance instead of risking defeat again, as he has suffered so often. This is the best advice I can give you. I believe this is just a summary and not Tanavast's actual words though.
  19. Why not? The Parshendi conflict led to the birth of the Everstorm and the beginning of the True Desolation. Yes, yes it does. It was less Honor stepping in and more the Heralds stepping up I think. I believe their intent was just to stop the feud and seal the fused with the cycle of destruction being totally unforseen. I think thats referring to humans ability to very easily attract spren.
  20. Whats relevant is that both are large scale conflicts that involve some crazy magic being thrown into the mix....thats all. Again, the population size of either group is unknown as far as I'm aware. When were we told that this war was on the scale of a continent or that humanity subjugated the entire Parsh population?
  21. I want her to stay dead actually. Too much Kholin super specialness as it is.
  22. Not really....just saying that an exodus and war doesnt have to take a hundred years. That said: Beware the otherworlders. The traitors. Those with tongues of sweetness, but with minds that lust for blood. So....maybe. False parallel? How so? We dont know the numbers of either group, or the specific events of the war, or what lands were seized, and when the fused we're raised, yada, yada, yada. Just saying, it didnt need to take a hundred years.....BUT, Jezrien looks 30 but had an adult daughter born on Roshar, sooooo Maybe the Heralds were actually pretty old but were given bodies in their physical prime or which matched their personal ideals. I believe that Sanderson confirmed that their bodies are custom made for their rebirths?
  23. Why would that take 100 years? The Alethi found the Parshendi, negotiated with them, warred with them, backed them into the corner, and forced them to join hands with Odium over what, 8 years?
  24. I don't know, Dalinar only has his special ability because the Stormfather has Tanavasts cognitive shadow bonded to him now (hence why their voices sound the same/very similar).....but its not as though Dalinar has storm powers just because of his bond. If Dalinar cannot step into the Stormfathers domain of power I dont see why those bonded to the Nightwatcher and Sibling would have any influence or powers beyond the standard.
