  1. I love Moash. He isn't becoming a Bondsmith though. The dude's a loner. Kaladin wouldn't have become a villian. He was going to kill himself, remember? Killing one civilian is worse than killing hundreds? How so?
  2. I...need a summary. Shallan is very well developed and interesting so it would be cool to see a full well structured analysis.
  3. I don't think we can help you if you just find his plot boring...it's not that complex. The only one of your bullet points that you mentioned which should affect your enjoyment is lack of interaction with his spren but Nightblood fills that role so.....? Not every character or plot is for everyone. My favorite series ever is Game of Thrones and God knows I dislike many of the point of view characters and side plots.
  4. This. Frankly, I don't think we wll have 3 Bondsmiths in part one at all and I also think the Stormfather will have a partner after Dalinar.
  5. Yes, you're definitely speaking for me at least! Yessss, one of Sanderson's most realistically drawn characters in my opinion. I knowwwww, it's so frustrating, right? ....well, that may be reaching. He cannot steal Hoids throne. Oh.....this is one of those posts.
  6. The 1st point isn't true (which is why we have the mixed hair colors, light eyes, stone nails, etc). The 2nd isn't confirmed. I think Sanderson confirmed that Rosharans are usually more healthy than not due to the Highstorms and blowing Stormlight around. Exactly. Shallan feels like a teenager, Lift feels like a child and not a teen, Dalinar feels like a middle aged man just past his prime and not like one nearing elder years....same for Sadeas.
  7. Oh we definitely havent. There used to be hundreds of Radiants in addition to super heralds and Odium was still able to compete.
  8. I'm curious as to how they kept the bond through death.....
  9. Exactly as Calderis described. I was hoping for something more unique than just Super Surges but they would've been devastatingly effective. You know what's crazy? They still died repeatedly. What does Odium have up his sleeves?
  10. 63%Windrunner 39%Stoneward 33%Willshaper 28%Dustbringer 24%Bondsmith 24%Edgedancer 24%Lightweaver 17%Skybreaker 16%Truthwatcher 0%Elsecaller What? I'm hardly a soldier and find leadership roles taxing and stressful. Right in the money with Elsecallers....storm that. My nemesis! No wonder Jasnah and Kaladin are immediately at odds with one another. Really amazing quiz @Mr. Staccato Now I'm just waiting for that update.
  11. I haven't seen anything indicating that I should convert Rosharan years to Earth years though. Why should Rosharans (or any Cosmere humans but Scadrians) age at the same rate as earthlings? Their genetics are different from ours and some groups of humans on Roshar even have alien blood. Heck, they're all aliens really. When Sanderson writes that a character is 17 or 35 or 60, I take it at face value.
  12. ^That's what I was looking for. Thank you Connector. Ash can be a Lightweaver and still have flashback sequences for a book where Dustbringers (or whoever else) are the main focus.
  13. Their weight isn't enough to allow them to sink that deeply.....we've known this through the books for some time.
  14. 1- I think she already has Plate just as she had her Blade for an entire book without revealing it. She's just repressing her progression. 2 - if she doesnt, she may not get it till her last oath. Whose to say?
  15. I remember that as each book focusing on an order, not each flashback character. Do you have a link?
  16. Yes he will reveal it of course(he's writing a book on it). Hopefully it's not brushed over. If Adolin and Renarin just roll with Dalinar having killed their mom I'll be incredibly disappointed
  17. Eh, he's only 53-ish and in great physical shape. He's more middle-aged than elderly. I see no reason to think he is a reincarnation regardless. Jasnah isn't 40 and the age gap is less than 20 between the two.
  18. I think someone has been digging through information from Brandon Sanderson (theoryland or the coppermind perhaps). Where do you fit in black skinned people, blue skinned people, and horneaters with their red hair?
  19. Agreed. I think it's a manifestation of spiritual illumination and progression.
  20. You're overthinking it. The Shards are powered by humans and are fallible; they make choices as humans would. Odium is afraid of being hurt and defeated. He doesn't want to commit his forces to a drawn out engagement. He wants the sure win where there is no risk to himself, and he isn't patient. Why wouldn't he go for the Trial by Champion when there is no risk whatsoever to him and he believes his victory is assured?
  21. These two have it. The name is very fitting when you take the above into account.
  22. Lol, I meant that the vast majority of the questions asked are ones that will be answered in the future. Will this come into play later? We'll get there when we get there. Though yes you never know what Brandon will reveal during random Q/A sessions. When Oathbringer is released (in world) I fully expect us to get more on Evi....Dalinar announcing to the world that his actions led to her death is going to generate discussion. Do address those questions again: - I believe we're told that Shardbearers selling shards to another nation could be considered as treason. I'm sure Evi and co are being branded criminals/traitors so Iri (or whoever) has an easier time retrieving them. - I know that you personally care. I thought you were referring to in world chatter though the answer is the same regardless. If he hasn't become Radiant its because their aren't any spren who care to bond with him. It doesn't mean that he's boring or unimportant or what have you, it just means that he isn't the right type for those spren that are searching. It really isn't more complicated than that. Just like not every Bridge 4 original will become a Windrunner despite a large number of Honorspren actively scouting through their ranks, Adolin maynot become Radiant despite his familial ties. He might not even have the right spirit to form a proper nahel bond. - eh, I feel like if Oroden was spontaneously born with light eyes, Kal would have noticed but sure, okay.
