  1. Windrunner Sigzil? No thank you. I wanted my guy to become an Elsecaller
  2. Sadeas. An all-around terrible human being with no magical influence and no philanthropic or sympathetic motive.
  3. Woooo! Leshwi is one of my most anticipated characters along with Moash and Nale
  4. Could have been but they went from dark green to dark brown then to tan and now back to dark green. The light tan comes from the shardblade but thats not in question.
  5. The Parsh are not monsters. They're just something other than human. What should be public knowledge is that Vorin teachings were false as humans are the true void who began this war with the Singers. Reality is clearly something different to the old stories.
  6. I didnt notice that Kaladin and Lyn had hooked up.......weird. I wouldnt expect Kaladin to engage with a subordinate, geesh.
  7. He doesn't refuse that. He just doesn't want Kaladin to participate in that way which is reasonable: I don't think he needs to accept such a concept. Regardless of who is saved, someone else is absolutely being hurt if there is violence and killing involved. You may be willing to accept that cost in suffering but Lirin isn't and he isnt wrong. Definitely. People seem to be clearly having an emotional response to Lirin based on their connection to Kaladin. Really? Lighteyes have done more harm to Lirin than the Singers ever had. Vorin teachings are false. Why does he need to be suspicious of them without evidence?
  8. The Singers aren't bent on genocide as far as Lirin knows. They're just replacing the lighteyes within the hierarchy and Lirin's relationship with Abiajan is essentially the same as he had with Roshone and he is still a respected individual. The war doesn't appear to be genocidal. In that situation, Lirin still would not take life. It's just not in his nature. He would be emotionally devastated if he couldnt save someone he cared for as anyone else would be but he wouldn't compromise his code.
  9. I dont feel like "not killing people" is an impossible standard to live towards.
  10. He doesnt seem ugly enough for an Amian
  11. I really like this explanation!
  12. Exactly. I just expect better from an ancient warrior facing what is one of our most notorious new age Radiants. I probably just need to accept that he was just impatient and wanted to rush the process of exhausting Kaladin's stormlight not counting on Kaladin to fight back in the split second where his spine was healed and before it could be cut open again. Absolutely! His design is awesome as are his powers and fighting style.....would love to see some good fanart. One of the very few times I felt like a Fused was a worthy opponent for a Radiant. Silver medal goes to the ice skating Fused who managed to snag Nightbloods sheathe and nearly kill Szeth.
  13. I believe this is wrong though. Maybe Brandon Sanderson has some master list that needs to be updated. I dont see why in story Moash's eyes would change from brown to green anyway.
  14. No it likely wasnt attached to him: He broke a carapace spur off his arm—a sharp and jagged weapon—and pointed it toward Kaladin. He had probably used one of those as a dagger when attacking Kaladin’s back. The Fused are pretty crappy, but I would expect them to be able to walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. That is, they shouldnt have to move the weapon in order to turn their head every couple of seconds.
  15. No they were dark green.
  16. The Fused was still there holding Kaladin. It just seemed odd that he would severe Kaladins spine but then remove the knife, allow the wound to heal, then cut into his neck again. The Fused repeated this for some time which is how Kaladin countered. He should have just left the knife in his neck. Even Moash knew to just keep the blade in place to counter healing as he did with Elokhar.
  17. For sure.
  18. The Fused are still pathetically weak and I'm still at a loss for how the Heralds ever died to these chumps. New guy is pretty cool though I wonder why he didnt just leave his knife in Kaladins neck instead of removing it. Seems silly to me. Does anyone have an explanation beyond PIS? I wonder if its related to how the Heralds get bodies when they return to Roshar.
  19. I held off on listening to this reading when Sanderson indicated it started at chapter 4.....I didn't know he would read that far up. My boy Vyre! I thought I would need to wait to get him. I see that his eyes have changed colors. They were green in The Way of Kings, then brown in Words of Radiance, but now back to green. I wonder if that will change for the book release. An all black Alethi uniform seems kind of on the nose.
  20. As a big nerd who watches Brandon Sanderson's signing videos, I know that the cover isnt done just yet but the artist is making great progress. No idea how long those big epic paintings take.
  21. Dieno enne Calah "The Mink" Anyone else immediately think of "The Lions of Al Rassan?"
  22. No way, hed kill me. Id try to find another way to form a nahel bond with him and become something new.
  23. Most definitely I live in a "stand your ground" state with no duty to flee though so I'm biased.
  24. Dont forget the "T" since it is The Way of Kings. KOWT Knights On Winding Trails Keepers Of Written Truths Knowledge Old With Time Keys Open....something? This is hard. Someone call Tite Kubo....he'd be able to make something dope.
