A lighteyed person's eyes would not change color after becoming a Radiant. Only a naturally darkeyed person who became a Dustbringer or Lightweaver would experience a red eyed color shift. So even then, not everyone in the orders would have matching light eyes colors....only the naturally darkeyed individuals would.
-
Guess who just saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 for the first time last night? This Guy! The void spren from this chapter looks and sounds exactly like Ayesha in my head.
-
Hrmm, wouldn't darkeyed Lightweavers also have red eyes?
-
What? I don't think this WoB exists...... I agree. The names are derivative, right? if I recall correctly, WoR estaished that theyre called Dustbringers because they share similarities to Voidbringers. Thank you. Have an upvote.

Whoah, a wild Dustbringer has appeared!!! Aaaaannnndddddd, it's some random 50 year old woman......okay. Evil!Syl interests me greatly. Truly it never occured to me that Syl would have standard Alethi features...... Shallans chapter bored my. Mraize and his parrot do not interest me. I would have been happy with this being a pure Adolin chapter. Adolin is a great liar. Yeeeppppp. Im curious, what did it tell you?

Thank you! So Dalinar was 22 when he met Evi, only 19 during the momentum chapter where he recruited the enemy sniper, and younger still when he and Gavilar conquered Kholinar and he tracked down his masters masters master. Noted Also, that's ours him at roughly 53-4 ish years old now.
-
Vague. I was curious as to whether he was in his late or early 20s here. He must have been young as all hell when he helped conquer Kholinar.

Le sigh.....never change 17th Shard. No I don't think this is the case. -
Yes Ialai, yessssss; welcome back to the party! Just a few days more until we finally get some of her thoughts and plans. Huh.....the man responsible for the Shin Invasions? Could someone tell me how old Dalinar is?
-
I read that he could potentially invest himself with stormlight, not that he absolutely can......which was only natural since Nale gave him Nightblood. Nale isnt a fool as far as im aware.

You have your answer in that same quote. Humans are not a "force." The laws that govern shards and humans are not the same.
-
Wow. We might learn the secrets of the Recreance here?
-
Well.... This basically. Odium has an impressive list of accomplishments but it was not without cost. He's apparently gotten his behind kicked many times and has the scars to prove it....hes afraid of losing again which helps explain why he's waited so long to make a move. Basically, if Odium has a 100 percent chance of winning and without playing his trump cards, then he will just press forward and crush his enemies. However, if humanity is juuussst badass enough to decrease that percentage and give Odium the impression they could be victorius or force him into an uncomfortable position, Odium would rather make a cheap move like appointing a Champion (risking only a minor waste of his time) than play his trump cards and risk total defeat.
-
Yeahhhh this seems more likely. Part 1 is humanity suckering Odium into a contest of champions and winning by the skin of their teeth. Part 2 is the Heralds and Cultivation actually getting invested in this war.

oathbringer spoilers [OB] Oathbringer Writing Commentary Thread
Nymeros replied to Wax's topic in Stormlight Archive
I'm cool with writing so far. It's a better intro than WoK or WoR. It would be nice to have Dalinar dealing with the logistics of the Urithiru move and what daily operations are. Just a map of Urithiru and where the back everything is would be nice. -

Pretty serious....it would be interesting as hell IMO. Why should I care about some minor nobody failing at their oaths? I dont think she needs magic for her character to work. Shallan could level up her spy skills in the front 5, break and lose Pattern, then show up in the back 5 as a head of information dor Urithiru or in a leadership role with the Ghostbloods. Who knows? -

I would love if Shallan failed as a Radiant and lost Pattern -
.....................................a worldhopping slave...................................nah I don't think so.

Mercy, mercy me, but that might be interesting if done properly. Noooooo! I knew I should've learned how to read through strikethroughs!

My aunt's 8 slice toaster (enough for 4 sandwiches!) is second. The Brave Little Toaster is number one of course (hes even been to space). Smarrtttttttt. How did I miss this?
-
Wow, I actually understood this perfectly for about 15 seconds. That might be Zahels best yet. Ha! You're probably the 3rd best toaster I have yet encountered. It is the nature of the magic. A boken soul has cracks into which something else can be fit. Surgebindings. I think his new Honor based magic pushed Cultivations magic from his soul.
-
Agreed. That and the fact that we have a highborn killed and a lowborn as well. If it were multiple highborn you could make the case that it was a lighteyes putting a lot of resources and energy into some plot....but some random bar worker in an alley? Both crimes of passion being copied with almost perfect recreations? Yeahhhhhhhh, probably not natural.

Moash and Eshonai! I feel in my heart of hearts though that I won't get to see what has become of them until I receive Oathbringer in the mail. I need to see the inner workings of the Diagram and how Moash is dealing. I need Eshonai to survive and become as interesting as she is in the Oathbringer Prologue. She's mentioned in the back cover so she is alive, right? Right?? Also, who is my soul brother who also voted for Moash?
-
im sure though it took me right of the story and made me think of A Song Of Ice and Fire. Maybe Nedaden? That souns kind of Vorin-ish.
