    If I recall correctly, once the metal is burned away it's used up, and the Investiture is returned to Harmony after being used through the key that is the metal, who in turn has a system to return it to the ground as a physical metal... I forget the exact terminology, but it put me in mind of the water/rain cycle almost. I DO know that we have a WOB that in the future mining asteroids/other planets are a viable option, though obviously not until the space opera era.

    I predict that Jasnah will have some shipping moments with Vasher when/if they interact and she discovers what an intelligent, if belligerantly gruff, scholar he is. If nothing else it will provide some very amusing and interesting interactions if it happens.

    I'm gonna guess that Adolin is either remembering when he first got his Ryshadium, or is trying to get another of them to accept him, perhaps at the insistence of Dalinar or someone else. Either way, it's going to be an interesting part to read!

    Sai is really good, I use it to colour stuff for my artist friends, and something I've recently found for shading is to use the layer clip option, it will let you shade just on the layer below the one you've selected, it can be really handy and save time. You did really well on the lighting for the mountains and the sky though, it looks vibrant and bright, and the choice of colours for the blossoms is really good! As a colourist, I approve!

    I'd be more interested to see a conversation between Hrathen, Jasnah and Sazed, or even just HoA Sazed just before he became Harmony, as I think the two of them would have had a lot to discuss there.

    I actually made myself facepalm with this one.... but.... Why do certain people love to ship Kaladin and Shallan? Because we're in posession of a depression repression obsession.

    I need to reread the Cosmere when I'm done with Discworld, since I'm drawing a surprising blank for most of these... but.... Human - "You are big on the inside." Kelsier - "The bastard by choice or the bastard by birth, which is worse?" (That might be a paraphrased one....) or.... "Let's have a chase, you and I." Vin - "There was one thing every empire (Kingdom?) needed.... a good assassin." or if you want to have her as The Heir - "Let's have a chase, you and I." Breeze - "Delegation, my dear boy. Have I taught you nothing of ruling?" or my personal favourite - "Listen, my dear man.... or should I say, my dear doggy." Wayne - "Naw, your logic has no effect on me. I bought a charm against it from a travelling witch (gypsy?) years ago. Lets me add two and two and get a pickle." Wax - "Now THAT explosion was NOT my fault." Marasi - "How often have you had to impersonate Death?" Steris - "Framed for murder! Page fourteen of the handbook!" (I forget the exact page xD) Sazed - "I did send them help. I sent you. " or "I am, unfortunately, the Hero of Ages." Szeth - I suppose I could kill one more... on my own time. Adolin - "They wanted a show? A brawl? He would show them perfection." (Definitely at least a bit paraphrased with that one) Renarin - "I want to be useful."

    Could a non Nathalian give away their Breath with the "My life to yours, my breath become yours" command? If so, what would be the result? A weak Breath being transferred like a weak Hemalurgical charge?

    I would imagine the hoops would be the training and visualisation and lessons on speaking that Vasher gave to Vivenna, since a non Nathalian would have no idea about even the misconstrued legends about Awakening. Plus if you're not on Nathalis or know Vasher's trick to turn Stormlight into Breaths (though that might just be using Investiture to sustain him), you'd have a limited stock of Breaths to experiment with and practise.

    Oh WOW, she looks so awesome! I love all of the expressions, especially the over the shoulder one! X3 The colours blend so well, and her armour really pops, it looks solid and reflective! I love how you tried to incorporate the glow of the runes on her shield as well The colours and expressions down suite her really well too, I especially love the hint of the smile in the pouty cartoony one! Thank you so so much! And yes, her mother is Erza, because SCREW JELLAL. He's got a 95% chance of ending up with Erza (I'm holding out hope for the 5% chance he finally dies, and stops being a whiny ripoff of Seig in Rave), but that doesn't stop him from being the WORST. >:T I shall argue this FORE-ahem... I mean, I respectfully disagree with your opinion on ships, especially with regards to my Emeralda and the existence that depends on them. V_V And the guy beside her is my OC Robert, who's literally just me with more vividly red hair xD I DID say she's my RP daughter, haha ~

    Hey there my fellow Sanderfans, I had a bit of a manic episode today at work, and finally started writing a bit of the idea I call NPC Quest, first mentioned here - So this hasn't properly gotten into the worldbuilding or even the main plot with the actual hero of the story starting his quest, but I thought I'd share what I've got so far... Be warned, this was written entirely on my phone today when I should have been working, and I have a tendency to use run on sentences, and huge blocks of text. I've not formatted this at all yet, and I'll probably go back and rewrite parts since descriptions are my strength more than dialogue... but I hope you all like it. It feels a bit less like the dry, sarcastic humor I was originally planning for, and a bit more like Mogworld, or Discworld, which I've started reading lately.... I have a habit of mimicing the styles of authors I like sometimes. ^^; Anyway, let me know what you think! I'm curious if the premise of the world grabs you at all, since I can play with fantasy tropes and cliches and use soft magic to my heart's content.

    I'm honestly not sure if we have a definite answer to that.... I vaguely recall a WOB about Nightblood changing it as they evolve... but I've seen both interpretations, and 'she' most recently, so I used that

    Not got anything pertinent to add to this discussion, just wanted to say I wouldn't define Nightblood as a robot spren, considering she has her own personality, wants, desires etc, many of which are counterintuitive to the original design of her creators... I'd call her more of a FrankenSpren

    I predict that Dalinar will give the Honourblade Kaladin gave him at the end of Words of Radiance to Navani to bond and hide. This will be due to him wanting her to have some protection should she be alone, her being someone people wouldn't suspect of having it, and due to her just outright bullying him into letting her and her artifabrians study it, how it compares to Shardblades, and how it bestows Surgebinding.

    Same, though I can see what @Ironeyes is saying. It's like Cersei or Joffrey from the Tunes of Frost and Flame, characters who you love to loathe or loathe to loathe. (Or Cadsuane from WoT for me... though not in the same league) The difference for me is that while Sadeas is a cremling, Umbridge is so much more SMUG than Sadeas. Sadeas gets his moments and trolls Adolin openly in WoR, but with Umbridge it oooooooooozes from every pore, every moment she's in the scene. We also never get any viewpoints from Umbridge, so we don't get to see anything from her perspective, any reason for her personality and way of thinking. We just see that she's a toad who's the epitome of smug, condescending Hippogriff droppings, the way adults can seem to be to children/teenagers and even some adults. By contrast we see things from Sadeas, we see his internal struggles and reasonings, his thinking patterns, albeit briefly, humanising him a bit more. This to me is why he's not quite on the same level of character hatred that brings people to the point of cheering when the comeuppance for a character is implied to be offscreen centaur gang-rape.

    Would Lifeless made from the corpses of Allomancers/Feruchemists/Surgebinders retain their abilities, powered by the Breath? Surgebinders would be the least likely, unless you can somehow make a Lifeless from a Spren....

    I feel exactly the same about Vin and Elend, that was one of the most tragic parts of their ending, they never got a chance to just enjoy the world that came after, to just.... be. Of course, in that new world Elend would be a King, and Vin wouldn't be happy if she wasn't prowling around, looking for new threats. Then again, she probably would have LOVED being able to dance through the skies of Elendell with all of the metal there... I'm with you, my Faceless, Skeleton shifting friend! I'd love to see Vin come back just as a cameo in the future, even just as a Spirit to bolster and encourage and bless a future protagonist through their toughest moment in a vision/conversation, the way Harmony came to Wax.

    That's a better way of phrasing it actually... "Is there any amount of Breaths (including 0) held by either or both parents, that would affect the Breath of a baby being conceived and born?" There's probably no effect, as you say, I'm just curious if a Breath could be strengthened or weakened by something like that.
