  1. I'm leaning more on she's not gonna be a bondsmiths. There spren tends to be extremely powerful(in Dalinar's case the stormfather) and that little blot of light doesn't seem like a bondsmith spren to me(which Odium would probably notice if there was a powerful spren around his domain). Maybe she could be one of the first theorized dual-spren Radiants. With her current initial spren then a god-spren like nightwatcher
  2. Recently i've been reading plenty of Scifi (Blindsight, Hyperion, I have no mouth and I must scream, Queens Angels ) but normally in between i read other fantasy series. Recently i've been reading Tad Williams - Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series. Sometimes i reread books i've whether it's Sanderson books or not. Right now i'm not even reading books(on a break but i sometimes have the motivation to read continue reading Tad Williams every few days). I'm just watching what would a person would normally consider trashy asian romcom drama's lol If you are looking for suggestions to read tho. I suggest the big stuff like Malazan or WoT(if you wanted something similar to Sanderson .. well basically Sanderson finished this anyways) or if you want something that has a flashy combat/magic system like Mistborn/Stormlight archives then Travelers Gate Trilogy (i actually think it has better combat sequences than anything Sanderson has written which is actually hard to do).
  3. Pretty sure Marsh is cosmere aware, him being Harmony single most powerful agent(unless Kelsier is secretly one ). If Kandra's and some of Scadrials are worldhoppers the most powerful almost-fullborn and the most connected to the residing shard should be aware. So there you have it. You can't be a worldhopper without being. Vin on her peak(around HoA) like quite possibly the single most talented mistborn around. She was beating Ruin Inquisitors before her actual ascension which is an extremely difficult feat. Even Kelsier says that she thinks Vin is such a natural it's scary. Obviously Vin can't beat Kelsier during Final Empire but even around WoA she has so much practice fighting allomancer(not just allomancer but allomancers like groups) and she was even going against what she thought was an allomancer better than Kelsier(Zane ) that i think she was simply too good around HoA. Vin's pvp capability in mistborn combat is ridiculous
  4. Isn't Demoux girlfriend (the pretty terriswoman at the end of HoA) was a worldhopper and part of the 17th shard ? I think she was the worldhopping terriswoman but i could be wrong. So that could be his way into the worldhopping business Also afaik Sazed was the last feruchemist during the final ascension even the child feruchemist got wiped by Inquisitors(along with Vin and Elend being the last Mistborn's near the end of Mistborn one). Alright i found the WoB Also another WoB but completely irrelevant just Demoux making sure he gets the girl
  5. Since people already necro'd this i think it depends on which Radiant faces the Mistborn. Well if it's Skybreaker/Windrunner then the Mistborn most likely loses since notably most surge of gravitation users make the ability look extremely flexible compared to steel/iron pulling/pushing. Just shardblade/shardplate alone already makes it really difficult for a Mistborn to beat a Radiant in a straight up confrontation With Atium in play then the Radiant is most likely dead or he could stall. But if we are talking about Fullborn well you know how bad it goes for anybody who isn't a shard against a Fullborn (unli speed, strength and health that alone is already good enough to like beat almost anybody)
  6. I believe the "It is yours" WoB could actually mean literally anything. It doesn't have to mean him handing Harmony's shards besides that kind of move completely undermines the entire point of the Mistborn Trilogy which was to have the two shards end up with the person who is destined for it's proper use which was Sazed. And the meaning of Hero of Ages after all wasn't just Sazed being a one time savior but a "hero for all ages" a caretaker if you will. It would be an ill advised retcon move if Sazed actually hands the Shard to somebody. Also interesting WoB about Odium believing he is passion but every characterizes him as Odium. That kinda weirdly supports the Sazed being Discord but insisting himself as Harmony though it could be also wrong since Sazed doesn't seem the type to lie about those kind of things or he could be on self-denial(that i could see on anybody). Maybe he's not really Discord or Harmony but still Preservation and Ruin in Intent(not the shard itself of course it's already intermingled just the intent) just he just believed he's Harmony since he saw that what Ruin represents was natural things before his ascension and well ofcourse he's inline with preservation so he saw the need for both and since both are opposite he's trying to balance it hence he perceives it as Harmony since both are natural to his eyes. Or i could be overthinking all this damnation. I like this theory. That multshard intents actually depend on the vessel's interpretation of what the two are together. This also makes me feel like Endowment will probably fit with any shard . Except maybe Autonomy ?
  7. Honorspren doesn't necessary mean that it's windrunners honorspren (i just meant honorspren like splinters of honor or radiant spren) but yeah that's what i'm kinda wondering about if the radiant spren gets captured(mutual captivity or whatever) or will Rlain actually still look like warform after bonding. Or maybe in a storm when Rlain is vulnerable and he already attracted some sort of radiant spren then it will be captured to his gemheart and he'll have a new cool form + nahel bond benefits.
  8. Yes i did mention that but in a Parshendi way i mean. We know that Parshendi take form of who they bond(Stormform from bonding Voidspren) but Venli's case might be special since basically her Honorspren took captive of the Voidspren(Venli mentioned this). So what happens during full vulnerability of highstorm with Rlain opening up for a new spren. Which that spren is the one is a honorspren ? What form will he have ? What he have form abilities or radiant abilities ? Assuming it's he's mutual with the spren can he evetually summon that spren with the proper oaths as shardblade ? Will he have both parshendi form advantage and radiant form advantage as well as shardblade advantage ? Most importantly what will he look like ? Or will he stay the same as the warform and just have radiant abilities ?
  9. I'm gonna say from the very beginning is that my take on this is more on that the HoA being a Discord rather than Harmony. Sorry if the title might not fit the post. Can't think of other title atm. Also not sure how the spoiler policy of OB on Cosmere Theory forum works so better be sure than sorry. Should've been a simply prophecy text that is relevant only to Mistborn Trilogy context that i'm not so sure anymore since it could mean extremely interesting narrative direction for the future of Mistborn franchise and Cosmere in general. Also the very obvious capitalization of the word and the hero of ages prophecy being weirdly word by word accurate(like the "on his arms" or the gender neuter thing) and i don't think Ruin changed the text that much. This kind of theorycrafting also inspired me more after reading Oathbringer where if i assume Rayse wasn't lying would mean that he's actually truly the Shard of Passion but people chose to call him Odium. And i don't think Rayse is lying considering that when he let him experience his infinity like other shards have before(Sazed to Wax during era2) and i don't think shards will lie about their intent to the utmost extent(considering that's what they're endorsing/implementing in the first place) as you would assume especially regarding themselves which Dalinar experienced emotions of all ranges. Even supporting that he might actually be a shard of passion or at least a synonym as his general policy for his army/people has been about passion and his minions claiming interest with Moash due to his "strong passion". So far apart from the manipulations of Ruin of the prophecy of the Hero of Ages. It hasn't lied to us and for some reason i doubt this was either shards doing. Another is that from Era2 Sazed has been stating being tied between the conflict of two shards and still insisting on balancing them. Could it be that him trying to please both masters is what causing his inactivity in the first place and the less he is about balancing the better he is at freedom from both shards. Also kinda makes sense with him being a young vessel which might've occured to other shards who fought their nature at the start. That Oathbringer event may imply that our Hero of Ages might not actually be the intent he says or could eventually change into what it was meant to be. Which brings me to these thoughts about Sazed's actual intent as the wielder of Preservation and Ruin (could've already been theorized by others as well and some i read from other post about discord/harmony) which might be more plausible/possible/would you support ? Harmony is Harmony and i'm wearing too much tinfoil hat i should stop. Sazed ascended as Harmony but is slowly being molded/evolved into Discord. Sazed thinks he's Harmony but he's actually Discord from the very beginning Sazed does not actually care if he's Discord but chose to name himself Harmony maybe for some reason The prophecy is averted abit which is why we have Harmony instead of Discord(not all future sight happening accurately ?) Could it be that his name, intent and being finally becoming Discord is just a matter of acceptance just like his role as the Hero of Ages, or about his acceptance of change/death is a natural thing to connect with Ruin. Could it be ? Questions Does it mean that the reason why Sazed is actually more limited than he should be has more to do with him trying insist he's Harmony(the balance between shards) rather than him being actually discord (the differences between the shards) ? If Sazed remains Harmony till the endgame cosmere does that mean he becomes more active or actually just gets worse and becoming more and more inactive ? What about him becoming discord ? Did we actually misunderstand Harmony and overtime he actually gains more freedom rather than being tied ? That Harmony could actually just do just about anything just like how incredibly flexible autonomy and endowment seems to be ? If assuming him becoming Discord is actually right and gives him freedom. Doesn't that make him incredibly dangerous and finally a big player of cosmere ? Since he's more interactive i assume Thoughts ? Supporting statements? Disagreements ? Theories ? Further Elaborations ? Anything resembling to thoughts about the matter ? Anything is welcome !(so excited about this topic after OB events sinking in and plenty of reading former discussion threads about this here or on reddit)
  10. Idk Rlain being bondsmith may overlap by purpose with Venli who is currently as we a KR who spreading the love in Odium's forces. Other than that Rlain doesn't have similar qualities to the only few Bondsmith we know by detail(Dalinar and Gavilar) If Rlain becomes KR i think he'll become something else. Personally i think this is will be how we will first see if a Parshendi bonded a KR spren instead of a normalspren/honorspren i think their forms will be spectacular. And the only reason Venli didn't change physical appearance was because her spren captured the voidspren And i will be looking forward for it assuming Rlain actually becomes KR
  11. Alright we need Marsh or Demoux in Roshar just to test this theory. I'm eager to see it
  12. Vin wins except round 4. Kaladin's surge of gravitation is wayyy too flexible and he's incredibly good at it if you've noticed. Vin doesn't even win in a close quarter combat and Kaladin just heals anything. Unless Vin is allowed Atium then she just loses
  13. I really hoped this isn't some Adonalsium rust it would be predictable and unlike Sanderson at all. Personally i think Dalinar has reached a state of connection with the broken shard of honor to the point of becoming some sort of weird pseudo-vessel. I think that's only possible since the largest splinter of honor is connected to him and the shard is broken.
  14. Navani (too normal) May Aladar(cause she a kandra HE HE HE) Teshav Most of Dalinar's generals
  15. I thought Adolin was a good candidate until the 3rd book. He's way too flawed and actually well-intentioned even with the Sadeas murder. After all one way of a radiant isn't always the same for others and i assume radiants way are honor approved ways.
  16. Not sure if there was ever an epigraph about this since i read the original trilogy a long time ago, But it seems reasonable after all both Ruin and Preservation were banking on Vin to do things for them. Both needed her to survive
  17. In before Sanderson trolls us and says it's a Mistborn but it's actually a fullborn but a fullborn can be called a Mistborn since technically he/she is one.
  18. Hero of Ages for extremely obvious reasons (aka one of the best story finish in all fantasy series available). SoS close 2nd for the combination of Sanderson's better quality writing and just plain disturbing for a Sanderson book. The Final Empire cause it work as a stand-alone and it's a pretty great starting story.
  19. "Mistborn serial killer" definitely implies natural birth cause Sanderson could've used "allomancer serial killer" instead. I mean Sazed made full feruchemist/mistborn from being born harder but he still made spook a mistborn when there were already none left so he could have some absurb plan for it in the future we know the future sight shards have and how subtle they could be. I don't think he's Kelsier but Kelsier is pretty important era 3 apparently. I thought Sazed already made it clear on era 2 that he doesn't necessarily think that bad things happening are unacceptable and he could just obliterate someone in the face of Scadrial if he wants but he never did and never will even before his intent started manifesting. Remember he's still half-Ruin, not just full preservation no matter how benevolent he will view some horribly destructive events he will see as necessary for mankind.
  20. I thought Sanderson is one of the more milder authors in terms of character deaths. If you read series like Malazan you will weep I think this is specifically the case of Mistborn Trilogy since the setting and the conceptualization itself is meant to be dark. Personally i think it's so well-done and the grave deaths added to the ending.
  21. I thought this was pretty obvious (this is a common story route i've seen for authors with their pet character) but i sincerely hope this isn't the case and Hoid is acting more of personal grudges/motivation than becoming a new god because that would be alot more interesting. That type of story rarely works out IMO
  22. Yolen has a bunch of dragons, right? Yeah maybe one of the original vessels of the shards of adolnasium are indeed dragons.
  23. I don't think Honor and Cultivation really asked for help considering their shards intent. And them kinda just creating Odium prison similar to Preservation sounds like a sacrificial play or that they probably believe they could beat him in a 2v1 situation. I haven't finished Oathbringer but i have a really strong hunch that the events that lead the fall of Honor to Odium actually have something to do with Cultivation(her shards intent doesn't put betrayal out of the question ) like if Ati is any indication being nkind means rust on the shardic intent. I don't think being a inlove with each other might've mattered to her eventually after a long time. Depends on how much helps they'll do. If the other shards don't insert themselves maybe just similar style as trell is doing to Scadrial by sending agents inside and causing havoc probably hitting Odium from outside. Maybe if another shard enters the fray that shard might probably just insert themselves on the existing magic system in place. It certainly feels that way but that would mean Hoid's warnings are a bit too hyped if Rayse doesn't really present that much threat which doesn't make much sense considering Hoid acts like the one of the endgame characters but yeah we don't know the other shards yet but autonomy seems the closest. Honestly if Mistborn still hasn't happened then i would think that Ruin could've been the ultimate endgame antagonist for Cosmere. His intent fits perfectly and he's such an intimidating concept(intelligent decay) but since the shard is pretty much placated now thanks to Sazed.
  24. Interesting reminds me sometime ago that during alabasta arc of one piece(manga) that the author was recently married hence the jokes were abit sexual at those times.
  25. Yeah might be that she really doesn't care and if she ever was responsible for sending the 3 subtly to Roshar the 3 don't really know that they're sent by their shard. Or that she ever was spying through them in the first place cause Nightblood is around the most important characters of Roshar. And i wonder what reactions Cultivation and Odium would've had if they ever noticed a splinter of endowment are around some important individuals on Roshar I googled Uli Da and apparently according to the cosmere wikia it is indeed Ambitions vessel.
