@Yata I know about that WoB. I wasn't referring to what Ruin is specifically doing(i think you need to have the same exact situation with Ruin in order to achieve that) but more about another shard messing with another shards creation or device like this another mistborn example i don't think Odium is beneath doing stuff like that.

Yeah . I mean this happened with Mistborn(trilogy) so i guess it's not unreasonable. Wouldn't be surprised it's Odium, he seems like the cleverest Shard around.

Afaik Sazed opened the Scandrials soul or something like that so that there's no more of the need to put people in almost dead state to snap.

Idk i have a feeling that the falling out between Nightblood and Vasher why they are not together in Roshar probably involves something that happened with Vivenna (considering that Nightblood likes her) and she's not around Vasher(or she's probably long dead or just still in Nalthias for all i know)

I don't think he meant "all his life" So he indeed done it when the the surgeon was complaining about him but not on all of his life. Even if he referred it as like "The Thrill of Battle" everybody feels that thrill but that doesn't mean they are absorbing stormlight. This is just IMO though could be totally wrong
-
that's the part i referenced though i thought the surgeon only meant his recent wounds at the battle if this is correct then the scars are just wounds that he perceives as part of himself kinda like Kaladin slave brands
-
He does ? Is there a WoB about this ? I don't remember reading in his pov that he felt stronger/faster and the effects of stormlight (the feeling of thrill doesn't count since everybody feels that and it's confirmed Odium's influence). I do remember one of the medics complaining about how he is able to move being wounded and stuff on the battle against parshendi at the end of WoR but that was near the end before he bonded with stormfather.
-
Hmm i wouldn't say that i mean Dalinar might not be the only one who received the visions(i suspect Szeth and the others did too). And the fact that the stormfather didn't even bother to check with him after the visions ended, the only time Stormfather talked to him was when he sort of apologized (out of guilt probably) and sent a highstorm to kill them(kinda ironic lol). Even without the words(or truths in Lightweavers case) spoken the spren is aware enough that he/she is giving the stormlight absorption through nahel bond that is not the case with Stormfather. Dalinar never had that ability until stormfather actually accepted him and stormfather was kinda against bonding so i doubt they actually bonded from the start of the visions
-
I actually Dalinar is the one progressed the fastest. I bet the only time he started bonding with stormfather was during the time they started talking to each other at the end. I mean the last interaction before they formed a bond was stormfather trying to kill Dalinar lol He literally bullied his spren into forming a bond with him(Stormfather doesn't even want one lol) not the other way around like Pattern following Shallan herself or Syl risking to go out and find Kaladin and conciously following him.
-
but don't their personal spren say that they "aren't a KR yet" whenever they ask and i think Kaladin proclaiming the KR have returned was just like how he spoke the Oaths that it came naturally for him not some boast/random declaration he made. Since i think Syl would've told Kaladin about that. also may i know where it says that a KR needs to have spoken all the five oaths, i may have missed this part or didn't read a WoB about it edit : Though if i think about it being officially a KR may actually just be a title and the moment they got access to surges and Shardblade probably already turned them in a KR .
-
Didn't Kaladin officially became a Knight Radiant on his 3rd words (" I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right. ") well i suppose different Radiant orders have different timings for officially becoming a Knight Radiant
-
Things don't need be parallel between the shard i think. (that doesn't mean Honor gave blades Odium and Cultivation has to as well) I don't really see the need of Odium making an Odium-blade for somebody, after all voidbinding (or whatever happened to the Parshendi was Odium intruding into them) he practically can do it already. He doesn't care about people anyways he just wants to win so i guess everybody is expendable to him (unlike Honor who made the Honorblades just for the Heralds since they were supposed to do the desolation thing forever). It might even be possible that Honoblades are actually kinda a combination of Cultivation/Honor (considering that some of the surges like progression might be based on cultivation)
-
Well Shallan can already turn pattern into a shardblade before she had access to the surges so i think different orders have different timings of getting a shardblade. I also think in order for adolin to revive the Spren he has to fit as the Radiant Order the spren belongs to, you know standard "i'm only dead as your oaths kaladin" speech by Syl. This is probably how it should work if Adolin was gonna revive a sharblade.

I found Stomrlight Archives as the best book series Brandon Sanderson has to offer. However i found Mistborn trilogy as the best trilogy i've ever read, like the pacing,plot-twist, completion and closure(though the sequel is good the original trilogy however is just a completely different monster) And if you are worrying about the scale of concern the situation in books has it gets bigger and crazier per book.

Theories about what did Kaladin do to Szeth's Honorblade
goody153 replied to goody153's topic in Stormlight Archive
While i thinks Zea mays theory might be possible but Darkness/Nale was seen using stormlight when chasing Lift so he possibly took his honorblade again(considering 1 honorblade was missing from the Shin apparently or it could from another heralds honorblade) or maybe Nale managed to absorb stormlight through fabrials(he seems really knowledgeable with them considering he has access to one that could replicate the "Progression" to revive Szeth).- 22 replies

Theories about what did Kaladin do to Szeth's Honorblade
goody153 replied to goody153's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well there goes my theory about Kaladin wielding the blade lol I suppose this means Dalinar has it. (there's also a possibility they tried this later assuming Kaladin managed to get back to Urithru and not stuck somewhere). Thanks for the WoB man edit: The spoilers has some really good possibility for potential conflict in the future when it comes to Honorblades- 22 replies

So as we know at the end of WoR after Kaladin defeated Szeth, he took the honorblade and after he presented it to Dalinar(where he got caught off because of Navani demanding if Kaladin had seen the King) we were left in the dark as to what Kaladin did with Jezrein's honorblade. Here are some possibilities that i've thought (some/most of them might be common theories) Kaladin gave it to Dalinar and Dalinar just hid it somewhere in fear of the risk that another person might get a hold of it like Szeth did. Kaladin gave it to Dalinar in which he gave it to Elokhar or Adolin or somebody else. Kaladin informed Dalinar of it but they decided that Kaladin keeps and bonding with it but never ending up summoning it (cause he already has surgebinding and he has Syl for shardblade necessity which is just a better version than honorblades) which would probably also possibly explain as to why Kaladin ran out of Stormlight just by flying all the way from Urithru to Heartstone(just a they that Kaladin shoud've reached there without draining all of his stormlight) due to the more than normal amount of consumption due to the compouding effects of having both Windrunner and Honorblade stormlight usage. Kaladin informed it Dalinar of it and Dalinar kept it (would be really useful since stormfather is unwilling to become his personal shardblade as the current time of the story) since he can't wield shardblades and it was under Kaladin's suggestion(also makes sense since Kaladin trusts him). Wit stole it (unlikely cause he was found to be with Jasnah at the end). Kaladin informed Dalinar about it and he made bridge four stash the blade for him. Thoughts ? I'd like to hear about your theories as well if you have one.

Also i don't think that's necessarily true that you needed to exactly hold the honorblade to be able to use it. I mean Szeth would use surgebinding without actually physically holding the blade(during his assassination in Jah Keved he went full hand-to-hand on everybody at one point while surgebinding, there's another instance where he was floating down a mountain can't remember which one and he was using surgebinding but i don't remember him summoning the honorblade that time) and also there's the thing where he can summon and unsummon the blade(i mean Honorblade certainly have bonding process since Szeth could make it function like Shardblade except the shattering when dropped). Though i might be misremembering these details. Well if you are already a KR to begin with you already hold the abilities of healing from a shardblade through the KR stormlight absorbing instead of the honorblade absorbing while fighting somebody who is a Radiant or something then it shouldn't matter. I just meant Honorblade's is the easier way to collect surgebinding compared to bonding with multiple sprens from different orders(which from a WoB it is possible just prolly really diffiicult)

Afaik Honorblades doesn't block the Shardblade users(alive through nahel bond) like how their spren get super annoyed with dead shardblades. Syl even calls it "a treasure" and telling Kaladin to take care of it. Apparently there's even "compouding" of strength if some KR picked up a honorblade that the power of their order is based from , and you can even do this You can do so many cool stuff with Honorblades. And it's probably easier to gather honorblades than bond with multiple sprens to get multiple surges

Moelach a Traitor and Eshonai a Bondsmith?
goody153 replied to Lewis Nethur's topic in Stormlight Archive
I mean i don't think it's impossible but it's unlikely after all Sanderson already said it's 1 Radiant Order per book as a focus and since Eshonai is getting her own flashbacks and stuff it probably means she's one of the Radiant Orders. Of course i also SA is bound to get other Knight Radiants(like more windrunners etc) but i suspect they won't get like the focus that Shallan, Kaladin and Dalinar(is about to get) or following of the story. Yeah she's definetely the Ironeyes of the series but a bit different since unlike Ironeyes she doesn't seem to be forcefully controlled but rather her personality is changed. -
Isn't the ventures kinda big ? If counting the bastard children under straff (i'm sure not all of them died in WoA since it's mentioned that Elend had lots of allomancers at those times which i suspect aren't just from the noble houses he recruited)

Moelach a Traitor and Eshonai a Bondsmith?
goody153 replied to Lewis Nethur's topic in Stormlight Archive
Tbh if Eshonai becomes a KR he'd become a Willshaper due to the explanation of her wanting to explore and stuff(create maps, hike and stuff) before she became a general due to responsibilities which is one of the noted attributes of Willshapers being inconsistent, unreliable and love for adventure. She fits both adventurous and unreliable(being now a spawn of Odium). But i like this theory too her becoming another Bondsmith (uniting people and stuff) but i feel like Mr. Sanderson wouldn't give the same Radiant Order to two important pov characters(characters who's gonna have their own books) -
I reread it a couple of times too Kaladin is still the character i like to read the most ( maybe it's because he's genuine hero acts ), though i found Dalinar's character as the best of SA after a couple of rereads, Adolin is next to the two(i had the same opinion with seeing him as more jerkish after the reread he's not a jerk at all and his actions are justified ). I dislike Shallan the most even after rereads, though i did like her the most next to Kaladin and Dalinar on my first readthrough. I found Szeth's fighting chapters nice (especially when he assassinated the King of Jah Keved) but the rest i found it annoying to read.
-
Hmm i'm not sure, i mean i would argue that Skybreakers would probably be the mightiest (even their surges are both meant for combat) after all they act as policing force to the KR. I suspect if Jezrien or Nale would do it themselves (assuming the act fits to their beliefs) they could also destroy the Radiants in their state back then.(we are not quite sure how the heralds now ) I think it is possible that Bondsmith's would actually only have powerful spren(i mean the current spren with Dalinar is responsible for the freaking highstorms) and it wouldn't actually correlate to how strong the Knight Radiant would be.
