  1. Granted but the book text has some kind of magic where you have to become one of Odium's voidbringers in order to read it else it will just look like a book with blank content. I wish we'd see a Harmony vs Odium showmatch in some Sanderson novel.
  2. That's just ok, since the shards came from the Adonalsium so i can understand that since it's a setup for the shards and why are the "gods" or shards there in the firstplace but having an "opposite" to adonalsium or something greater that have to fight or something in the end of everything sounds really awful and generic.
  3. @Ciridae Well my complain is really just about the overall story impact of having something more powerful than the shards and that having something "beyond" than shards actually makes the cosmere feel cheap instead of cooler. But that's just me.
  4. Tbqh the idea that the shards are the most powerful entities in Cosmere is already great and interesting with their abilities being the same but limited by their intent etc etc. This Great Beyond God stuff would just turn cosmere into one of those work where the author does this godawful trope about "a great power greater than the current one" that they always reiterate like 2-4 times which usually turns their work into an awful mess or mediocre stuff that was once good.
  5. @Thanatos The material used as a hemalurgic spike was from Trell not Harmony.(There's a WoB about this) Though since Hemalurgy is still Ruin so Sazed still had connection over bleeder even though he used a different metal for hemalurgic purposes. I suspect Sazed knows about Hoid but i don't think he sees Hoid as a threat and more like a trespasser. Idk why people assume that since Hoid is mysterious and seemed to have some kind of agenda he could hide from a shard which is practically the strongest entities we know.
  6. Yeah though i suspect if Hoid starts using allomancy i think Sazed can track him. Kinda like everybody who uses hemalurgy Ati/Sazed has a good knowledge who the hell is using their magic system.
  7. Pretty much. I mean Preservation is a freaking shard if a fraction of his power can change all people in a planet in genetic level and move the planet around materializing a form that could hurt people should be easy enough for him
  8. Afaik there are some things that Sazed never disclosed to the people as Harmony such as Hemalurgy although he mentioned that Hemalurgy was a tool by the old gods but never specified the details(as to why Wax only learned about it through Spooks autobiography)
  9. Atium and Malatinium aren't considered part of the 16 ? i didn't know that if that's true I doubt Harmony doesn't know, he literally has both forces of Scadrial under his control now that means everything that taps preservations powers and also ruins ofc. It's more to do with his intent Harmony as to why he just doesn't give away what are those metals. and there's the confirmed Harmonium, Sazed's godmetal (like Aitum and Lerasium) that was supposedly some sort combination of the godmetals of Ruin&Preservation but so far we have seen that like ever even in the sequels. It's probably never gonna appear in the 2nd mistborn series i suspect. Marsh can burn Atium for sure so that take that implication I also suspect the "20 spikes" was the count at the start of HoA dunno if Ruin decided to add more spikes with his 1v1 against Elend since he was practically Ruin's champion
  10. Yeah i was wondering about this as well, since i just did reread WoR. Again.
  11. 1. Yeah 2-3-4: I suspect while i do think Szeth will either use whatever magical loophole Vasher found to absorb stormlight or find another way but he won't have the surges of the Skybreakers through nightblood. Remember that nightblood is of Endowment not Honor/Cultivation/Odium. Though maybe a highspren would bond with Szeth and he would still have nightblood,
  12. Granted but you also meet Odium or Ruin(you can choose between the two nightwatcher is feeling generous xD ) and they suddenly decided to stay there. I wish for the sequel of Last of Us(video game)
  13. Granted but the more you learn you also lose an equal amount of what you've already learned about Surgebinding. I wish we would witness more abut Harmony and Odium cross over
  14. Granted but for some reason the knowledge about the new book is suddenly gone everytime you try to discuss it and you could only discuss it 3 years after the books official release. I wish i procrastinate less and work ethic is pounded to my head.
  15. Speaking of Rlain possibly becoming squires of windrunner due to Kaladin. What about Renarin ? i know he's already Knight Radiant a Truthwatcher but he still counts as bridge 4. And we already know that a Radiant could represent hold multiple nahel bonds etc maybe he'll count as windrunner too ? that would be sick(though i doubt he'd have surge of gravitation). He's a pretty honorable dude too he fits well.
  16. Interesting theory. I like it. I think there was a WoB somewhere about the shattering could've produced different 16 intents but this would make sense as to how the process of who takes up which shard happened.(why Ati ended up with Ruin and Rayse didn't randomly end up with Devotion unless the designation of Shards to the 16 was actually random or first come first serve lol)
  17. Vin literally just got fueled by preservation which allowed her to push Rashek's band. That's practically due to the power of shard and you have to remember that Shards are the source of investure that is used for fuel for the magic which also means it's also the fuel that is used from the Bands that Rashek has. The bands are nothing special but atium bracers that have tons of investure period. That means nothing if a shard wants to move it, it will move. The funny part is that he wasn't even "fighting" Marsh and Vin, he didn't consider that fighting if he actually fought them they would not last 5 seconds. Rashek has been storing nonstop for around 1000 years + compounding so he could've fought for a very long time tapping feruchemical speed nonstop he wouldn't even drain a fraction of it. The speed he used in that fight is literally nothing.
  18. There's also that Syl would've noticed that Zahel is using stormlight just like how she determined that Szeth was absorbing different amount of stormlight compared to Kaladin.
  19. Yeah if frost is a shard i highly doubt any shard who isn't working with Odium can actually get close to him, no way he's hyped that well by multiple people in cosmere about being ridiculously dangerous and somebody casually closing in with him.(i mean we already know at this point Odium is the most dangerous shard around and probably the most dangerous entity in the entire cosmere aside from Harmony). And it would also invalidate WoB about only having 3 shards in Roshar system which is already confirmed Odium, Honor and Cultivation. There might also be something really weird going on in Roshar that i suspect getting in as a shard is as hard as getting out.
  20. Granted but whenever it's not raining , fire is falling from the sky. I wish Odium had more exposure and influence in the next cosmere related sanderson books.
  21. Adolin and Jasnah larger role. Kaladin(i think his personal arc is done or at least on hold until later books and he's more on saving as much people as possible and starting the fight against void bringers) and Elokhar lesser( i think we won't see much coverage of this guy)
  22. that is what i said but i still see it Amaram the lesser evil due to intentions alone due to intentions alone. I'm not saying that whatever "for the purpose of greater good" action Amaram is doing is actually gonna help but i'm just saying he's aiming for something good which makes him the lesser cremling between the two even though whatever he's trying to accomplish is undoubtedly worthless and just gonna sacrifice lives. Of course he's still an awful person. Araman is still a cremling i just see him as lesser than Sadeas due to intentions. I think we meaning the same things, except for the "Amaram being the lesser cremling part".
  23. But they don't believe that the church under control is awful or that they think they could do a better job at it and make sure the past doesn't get repeated AGAIN that doesn't mean they aren't using awful means but THEY DO BELIEVE THEY ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING even if it is not really true(we know it cause we are the reader and we get a really broad perspective on what they are doing). AGAIN you seem to think that i agree with what they are doing is right even though i already said multiple times that i don't think what they are doing is right. I'm just merely saying that Amaram himself believes he is doing the world a "favor" so ultimately his intentions are "good" but that doesn't mean it is right. It's literally the same thing with anybody who thinks they are doing somebody/anybody a favor, they have good intentions but it doesn't necessarily mean that whatever they are trying to accomplish would actually help at all. Sadeas is literally intentionally evil like he knows his harming people and he knows he's not doing it for them but for themselves. The way i see it Sadeas is the more awful. Of course both are awful it's just that Amaram is the lesser evil in my perspective since he thinks he's doing it for "good" unlike Sadeas. AGAIN they are both evil but one justifies his actions and truly believes he's doing it to help and the other is really doing it for himself. I see the later as more evil since he really isn't trying to help anybody.
  24. but in the end all this actions still aims so that the Church goes back in control and the heralds back in action(they probably know the situation about the heralds) i'm not saying that their means are not terrible but ultimately they have good intention which is the better state of the world(in their perspective it's a better state ofc it's not true but all actions done by men who wanted to make the world the better place first they have to believe they are right and that includes Dalinar ofc Dalinar is right this time but that doesn't mean he's different .. he's the same he believes that he is doing things for the betterment of the world .. amaram is doing the same rust only that he's wrong ) Compared to Sadeas who literally only cares about power and doesn't even care even if he knew those voidbringers are back even when the evidence are clear. Sadeas practically just cares about himself. Yeah it is pretty clear who's the more awful cremling here.
  25. They are trying to bring the voidbringers back but we don't know their clear motive. I mean if they really just wanted to bring the end to the world, why would araman mention something about collecting accomplished shardbearers in order to survive the incoming desolation. It doesn't make sense if they are purely "evil" or wanted to end the world why prepare to fight it. And bringing the voidbringers might just even be their move that they wanted to bring knight radiants back or maybe make the world unite as 1 or something. We don't really completely know their motivations and we don't even know if possibly this is Cultivations influence on them cause being painful at the start so that it gets better later seems like a thing cultivation would do.
