  1. Speaking of taking responsibilities, it took me awhile to realize that there's a contrast on the way Kaladin and Szeth works. Kaladin takes responsibility of everything and Szeth doesn't. Not sure if Sanderson made it intentional but it's a cool contrast
  2. Wouldn't it be funny if the way how who took which shard works is that it was first come first serve, so some of them are probably just like "w/e i'll just take this" and possibly tanavast/bavadin/rayse got to pick first so they picked honor/autonomy/odium independently. And probably nice dudes like Ati wouldn't have wanted a shard of destruction like Ruin but got nothing else left to pick out so he just took it lol
  3. damnation i never thought of Szeth seeing himself as guilty and evil + nightblood killing him due to that. That's pretty cool. But if lets say Vasher before doesn't really see himself as somebody good then it shouldn't be a problem, right?
  4. This is what i thought as well. Or if it's really 3 godspren then maybe assuming that nightwatcher is of cultivation and is a godspren as well. I don't the third godspren would be of Odium, the 3rd godspren might possibly be a combination of Honor and Cultivation, kinda like Feruchemy is Scadrial is a combination of Ruin and Preservation. Though Odium probably has his own godspren (apart from everstorm seems like some superspren is controlling it as well ) or it's the first time Odium's own godspren came out.
  5. I got skybreaker 63% and elsecaller 32%. Truthwatcher 31% too I have no idea how i ended up with both skybreaker and truthwatcher definitely not me
  6. Yeah sorry it was a scar not a tattoo, used the wrong term. Unfortunately Kaladin sees it as a part of himself. Here's the WoB I suspect that gold feruchemy is different due to the reasons i said about Wayne removing intoxication even though he doesn't really think alcohol is bad. Unless subconsciously he actually thinks it's poison.
  7. By the way the slave tattoos Kaladin had wasn't healed by stormlight because he perceives the tattoo as part of himself. If he stops doing that the tattoo will be healed as well. Gold healing might be different i assume since with Wax his body thinks that alcohol isn't harmful yet his gold healing removes alcohol intoxication.
  8. No way they are slivers (like in mistborn ), they are definitely not shards but they certainly are invested or boosted by honor the most.
  9. I'm just making a comparison on the Honorblade part with Szeth . I'm just saying it will be like if somebody who is murderous or evil takes hold of a windrunners ability without the morality checks Found the epigraph with Ishar about Knights Radiant "But as for Ishi’Elin, his was the part most important at their inception; he readily understood the implications of Surges being granted to men, and caused organization to be thrust upon them; as having too great power, he let it be known that he would destroy each and every one, unless they agreed to be bound by precepts and laws." The oaths might have been added later and earlier the spren are just attracted to whoever it was that was representing their trait but much more lenient version than the new ones where they literally die and the radiants lose power if they break their oath. Since it seems like the order of the knight radiants are literally based upon what each herald represents. And besides the oaths being added afterwards or something was done to the sprens to create morality checks couldn't be farfetched since Honor was still alive that time.
  10. Wasn't one the heralds(Ishar or somebody) forced to like set rules for the surgebinders since they had no morality checks back then (Szeth is a perfect example of what would a windrunner seem like if he didn't have spren checks and the dude is misguided/evil/violent they could dish out some serious trouble) and so that was why the heralds created the orders for the surgebinders. And Nalan apparently was the last one to adopt the skybreakers since he thinks it's unnecessarily vain.
  11. Well skybreaker aren't exactly not bound by rules, they pretty much have to uphold laws and do justice thing. But the good thing is the justice part. Skybreakers are practically windrunners that have a license to kill people as long as it lines up with the peacekeeping/policing role which means eels like Sadeas or Amaram might be dead by now if Kaladin is a Skybreaker intead of a windrunner. So the surge of gravitation is not wasted upon honorable ones who can't cross the line even when necessary. Though i could see kaladin working out well as a skybreaker with all his grudges and stuff but him being a windrunner is cooler.
  12. Windrunners seem to be the "Honor" radiants with all the do the right thing, leadership, trust and stuff. On the other hand i like skybreakers the most, they are designed to keep watch of the other radiants and also they own the skies as well like windrunners. Suffice to say i just like the radiants who can do the surge of gravitation.
  13. I believe there's alot more worldhopper other than Vasher in Roshar that is non-hoid. but i really wonder what made nightblood and vasher separate (WoB says it was like a "falling out" rather than somebody managed to separate them) also what happened to Vivenna i wonder if she is also in Roshar
  14. Ah so that's what they are called haha Apart from Elantris i think you could use any cosmere related power as long as you know how to hook it up in that planets investure. Allomancy/Feruchemy might be more difficult still requiring you certain metals but i know that warbreaker's Vasher(Zahel) managed to use stormlight as a substitute instead of breath. Also the topic at hand hemalurgy is universal afaik http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=1157 http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=947 http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=1076
  15. Yeah i know that book 2 finale was already that but i thought it would be kinda symbolistic(not sure what's the right term) if the mark of how the true desolation started (highstorm/everstorm) would also how it would end with a highstorm and everstorm meeting.
  16. I suspect the series will be settled at either Urithiru or Braize with a raging highstorm and everstorm near the area.
  17. It's possibly the pre-chapter texts that may have mentioned it, i could remember knowing it back when reading the mistborn trilogy and i wasn't still digging about mistborn at those times so i could've not known it through WoB/etc. Could be wrong and it was mentioned during Harmony's era or SH.
  18. Yeah ruin can whisper to those who are crazy. Well Vin is not crazy enough but she wears her earrings all the time anyways.
  19. It's probably Jezrien or maybe it's Nale(though extremely unlikely but skybreakers technically also own the winds, like you know being the only other radiant capable of surge of gravitation) I certainly hope that Tanavast is dead that wouldn't feel right. The theme of god(Honor) being dead is already pretty cool and makes Stormlight much better. Also Odium seems like isn't really the type to be sloppy and he probably made sure Tanavast is pretty much dead and the shard of Honor cannot be taken up in normal means(like Vin ascending).
  20. Oh yeah a follow up to this. Almost forgot about how good this quote was in that part. I read this part like 2-3 times when i first read WoTK. It was also very clever since Syl was literally dancing with Kaladin this part while he did his Kata.
  21. I mean for sure Cultivation spren are unaffected but if ever Kaladin somehow actually transcends to become sliver of Honor then i doubt it would be as easy as Vin, it wouldn't be creative and we already had that with Mistborn. And the end of all sprens of honor in exchange sounds like bittersweet(idk the correct term)
  22. If this theory happens maybe at end of the first 5 stormlight or maybe after the entire series but i bet he'd be like the same state like Rashek/Vin with limited powers of the shard (well not VIn that actually became the official shard at the end of mistborn but when she first ascended at WoA) or maybe a special case where he becomes the shard holder but he doesn't hold all of honor or it's not possible for him. Rather he holds the biggest part of honor in which he's a weakened shard. I feel like it won't be like Vin taking up preservation fully or Sazed ending up with double shards. It also fits better to the "but i'll see what i can do" and the theme of struggle that Kaladin has so far, like being always against an overwhelming odds. It makes sense to me a bit. Like Honorsprens and other Honor-related sprens are bits of Honor. Reversing the splintered effect might really require whoever gonna take up honor to absorb every bit he could of Honor. Indeed that seems too dark but also poetic like, all sprens related to honor have to make a sacrifice and cease to exist forever for the sake of the return of honor and redemption of mankind(at least in Roshar).
  23. Yeah best read and find out. I just wish the books could get published faster T_T I'm still hoping that if Szeth was actually found by the real Nalan then i hope he manages to get the Radiant surgebinding of skybreakers (though i'm not sure how that works with nightblood since he's from endowment .. maybe he just gets bonded with a spren anyways with nightblood along) i'd really wanna see Kaladin vs Szeth round 2. And Szeth using gravitation already feels like a part of his identity and i hopefully he won't lose it.
  24. Idk it just feels like Szeth(landing) and Lift(when Nalan tried to kill her) were on different far places and different time but i'm not really sure about that no evidence for it. And also something about WoB about there will be Fake Heralds and Actual Heralds. I have a feeling that if the actual Nalan wanted Lift dead, he'd kill her quite easily assuming he still had his honorblade. Then surge of gravitation would make that super easy, not to mention i'm pretty sure him and Jezrein are like god-tier when it comes to gravitation usage due to them who has the most experience with it.
