  1. I just completed my readthrough of the docs. I was not aware that my playstyle was so averse to the one that the mods encourage. In regard to that, I will be taking a temporary hiatus from SE as soon as the AG ends. I should still be active on the rest of the site, but I think it's in all of our best interests for me to put things on hold for a while.
  2. @Assassin in Burgundy That you did. That you did. @Alvron What put you onto me? I thought you might have been, which was why I had to make sure that you died that night, but I didn't know you would have guessed. Great game, all! Kudos especially to Doc and Kas, who both called me out for having non-village intel.
  3. It's a trap! First, let me out myself. I'm an Autonomite, and we have Odium in our faction. Last night, the elims roleblocked my protect on Alv (I'm a Knight Radiant), redirected Odium into Alv, and sniped Doc through a temporary hole in the defense grid. Because of the nature of this, we knew that there was a leak in our faction's info system: nobody but an Autonomite would have known that Doc would have been exposed and that I was protecting Alv. I held this information back until now because I was waiting for authorization to out myself from my teammates. Secondly, the Bard lynch is too easy. We saw that yesterday: the lynch went along well until Bard just tanked it with Devotion. I think today is going to be the same way: Bard won't die. That's the 17th's plan: get us to waste our lynches on Bard while they get a monopoly on all of the night-kills. Bard is really just a distraction for Dominion. Thirdly, we Autonomites are fairly sure we know who Dominion is: it's Assassin in Burgundy. The night Alv died was the first Night cycle Assassin was on our team; that's a pretty big 'coincidence'. Secondly, Assassin hasn't said one word in doc the entire time (he hasn't even chosen a color), although the rest of us keep seeing anonymous readers at the same times as Assassin has been active on the Shard. Thirdly, although we know Assassin didn't have Dominion when we converted him, what better place to put your best Shard than in the hands of a player who was hard-cleared to not be a Shard two nights ago? I know this seems super suspicious, but please trust me. This game depends on it.

  5. Even if I hadn't voted on him, that still wouldn't make me a Spiked. I helped D1 lynch him in one game; that was the only role I have played in any of his D1 deaths. Hardly a track record for getting him killed off.
  6. Couldn't HH have just been a Rioter? That would mean Ecth didn't activate his manip, though...
  7. Fellow high-schooler here (17 and a junior). I think you can chalk some of it up to hormones, some of it up to stress, and some of it up to the life transition that you're hitting. High school is a difficult age; don't believe all of that "high school was so easy. I wish I could go back again" business. People who say that are usually either really lucky, flat-out lying, or both. There are new friends to be made (and old 'friends' who turn out not to be real ones), a sharp increase in class workloads (I'm in 3 APs; I'd know), and then there's hormones, viruses, gossip, and all of that other jazz going around as well. Just great, right? Basically, my suggestions are these: 1. Find a groove and keep to it. I'm anxiety-prone, and having a regular schedule is one of the best ways to keep the stress in check. 2. Find someone who helps lift you. For freshman me, it was a pair of senior girls who had never gone through what I was going through (at least to my knowledge). But what they did do is make me feel like I was worth something, and that's just what I needed. 3. Don't try too hard to change. Where I live, people go hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling a lot. That just isn't my jam, and I doubt it ever will be. So while other people can go fish their hearts out, I play Dungeons and Dragons and get on the Shard. While it may not be mainstream, it's me, and I accept that. 4. Know that we're all winging it. For one, I'm winging this post. I rarely go all psychologist like this.
  8. @Arraenae I think this is around his third. Conq. Crusade successful. Hmmm... I'm going to vote Dalinar. He's been noncommittal and suspicious of me, and I don't agree with the Elbereth or HH lynches, particularly the latter. HH seems normal to me, although I am a confessed bandwagoneer.
  9. Solution: play it like Lightsong plays that lawn bowling game. Problem: I can't catch subtext in conversations.
  10. I don't have everything worked out yet, but I'm 95% sure that Rae just made a typo like she said. Nyali's only suspicious because she called Rae on it, so I don't find her suspicious. I'll do what I said earlier and vote on Conq for the crusade. This isn't the first game he's fallen off the face of the earth.
  11. I guess any discussion is good discussion. Why do you find these players less likely to kill Wilson N1?

  13. We saw this in Warbreaker: to remove a corrupt political system, use But since we don't have a bunch of them just standing around, the alternate method is to force all politicians to read Nohadon's philosophies. I mean, look what they did to Dalinar! Problem: Freeloaders
  14. "Are you trying to tell me that someone tried to kill your father?" "What else? They burned his shop to the ground, and with him nearly in it?" The girl collapsed, sobbing, into Cassius' arms. "Don't worry darling. I'll find who did this." This kill looks like a fairly-standard (and apparently predictable) N1 Kill Wilson deal, without giving us much to go on. No suspicions. If the day continues like this I'll vote on Conquestor if he hasn't posted yet.
  15. I've been looking for some method to deal with rampant inactivity for a while now, and this is exactly the type of thing we need. I'm taking a banner and signing up! Cassius arrived at the manor late. The excuse he gave for this was "Sorry... lost track of time," but the real reason was evident by the bright lipstick on his lips. Only Cassius could find romance during a time like this. He sat down at a table and eagerly dug into the meal before him. You'd better not eat too much or you might lose definition in those impeccable abs of yours. Cassius promptly pushed his plate aside, then flexed, placing his hands on his stomach to feel his muscle definition. "Are you okay, sir?" a feminine voice said. Cassius looked up, but came face to face with a male servant peering down at him. Who was that who had spoken? "Can you breathe?" The voice sounded feminine all right, but it was definitely that servant whose mouth was moving. It took Cassius a second to evaluate the speaker, and a second longer to realize what he was talking about. Cassius relaxed his abs, causing him to breathe out sharply. The servant's face flushed with relief. "I'm sorry, sir. I thought you might have been choking." "No, but I thank you for you concern." The only thing about Cassius that was choking was his pride, but that was nearly in its death throes. Trying to regain some of his shattered ego, Cassius addressed a woman sitting near him, "What might your name be, madam?" She promptly turned and gave him a look that would have rusted copper, and in that motion also revealed the large, fat man sitting behind her. Oops. Cassius just decided to keep his mouth shut. He'd apparently exhausted everything good that was going to happen today, and now only the bad remained.
  16. I would request a candlelit dinner for tonight, but I'm not entirely assured as to the quality of the food. It would be quite a shame for me to develop garlic breath or be subjected to the horrors of badly-done beans.
