Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Elenion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Finally got to my game notes and updated them. If this game works anything like Joe's last Hidden Info game, there are secret roles, and so I've been working on a list of what players have claimed what and which of them have provided evidence to substantiate that. The way votes are panning out, so far it's 2 on me to none on anybody else. Live by the bandwagon, die by the bandwagon, I guess. Right now I'm most suspicious of Doc and Stick. Both of them have been active enough to send in orders, haven't claimed a role, and appear to be participating but not taking part in any real discussion. I'm voting Doc because of the two of them he's the one who's voted on me.- 360 replies

Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Elenion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The Emissary of Mandos finished tapping the Coppermind, carefully committing to memory the instructions and information that it contained. He would have kept the thing altogether, but an Allomantically-resistant belt buckle could give him away to any Lurchers or Coinshots that happened to be burning, and he preferred to keep things as low-key as possible. Instead, he tossed it back into the open grave, and dove forward into the grave himself. Blackness closed around him. The Emissary of Mandos was in something completely dark except for a circle of light above him. A dry well. Not the most traditional arrival spot, but apparently it was the closest spot to the town square that there was someone buried. Speaking of that... the Emissary felt the ground with his feet. Good, this one was actually buried. You never knew with those well ones. Before I can do any analysis I need my game notes, but they're on another computer.- 360 replies

DA had a good reason to send a group PM: it proved to every player in the game that he had a PM power. That said, that doesn't necessarily mean that that's why he did it, but I don't see why that makes him suspicious.- 360 replies

Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Elenion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm changing from my competitive, lone-wolf approach which caused mass betrayals, not from having fun with my actions. To help vet myself as having a repeatable Soothe instead of a single-shot item, I'll Soothe Ecth this turn. Edit: 2 hours later: The whole Jondesu thing is one big IKYK: the elims could have rigged the vote to save one of their own, or they could have rigged the vote to implicate a villager. The former is common sense, and the latter was used to great effect in LG25. As a result, I'm not going to vote on him, but I won't try to stop a lynch on him either. Hey Drought, why do you think Stick's vote was Soothed off of you?- 360 replies

*GPS sounds* Recalculating... Recalculating... Things that happened: 1. Alv's vote was moved from Mage to Bugsy 2. Two extra votes were added to Bugsy 3. Stick was Soothed That means we're dealing with one or more secret roles, a Soother, and a Rioter. Lovely. I see that your venture was successful. Have you extracted the necessary information? "Indeed, but there is a holdup. Someone, somewhere, has been controlling the mobs. Adding voices that shouldn't be there, just like Duke Ashkelon used to do. Has he been on assignment on this world?" No, the Duke has remained on Sel as part of a different project. While his reports are favorable, he has been working for over a month and will likely need two more. There is no way that this was his doing. "That leaves only one possibility, then: outside interference." It is of little consequence to us. Continue with our current arrangements.- 360 replies

You don't have to burn your life. If you vote on Jon you put him one vote ahead: It'd be you, me, phatt, and Assassin vs Jon, Lopen, and Ecth- 360 replies

Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Elenion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, that plan died quickly. Seonid Right now the lynch is Joe vs Bugsy vs Jondesu. Lynching Joe is less than wise. Really, I don't like the lynch on Bugsy thus far; he's suspected for saying something that I probably would have had I been on at the time. So, Jondesu for lack of a better voting target. Bugsy, if you want you can vote with me and tie Jon with Joe.- 360 replies

Kaladin. Best case scenario: his bond prevents him from killing you. Worst case scenario: quick death by Shardblade. Facing Vin you're liable to become a human pincushion very quickly. Would you rather face a Chasmfiend in full Shardplate or be Lightweaved into looking like Sadeas for one day?

Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Elenion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm going to vote on Seonid because he's inactive. Viva la Crusade! The pile of dirt next to the fresh tombstone grew with painstaking slowness. The Emissary of Mandos was a fit man in his thirties, but six feet of dirt was a lot for one man to move in one night. Even so, the shovel finally struck something. Not something metallic, or even something hard, but something soft. A body, partially decomposed, without shroud or coffin. The corpse must have been buried with either great haste or great carelessness, but neither one mattered to the Emissary. What mattered was not even the body that he had just exhumed. Instead, the Emissary bent over the grave and thrust his hand in, grimacing as the foul stench of death washed over him. His fingers scraped away the last inch of dirt that still covered most of the body, searching. After a few moments, he tugged hard, and out of the grave came the dead man's belt. The Emissary stood and spoke, addressing nobody in sight, "You were right about the courier. It appears that neither he nor any of the others realized what he was carrying." There was no response. The Emissary ripped the buckle free of the rest of the belt. It glinted faintly in the light of the lone lantern that the Emissary carried, showing a smooth, metallic surface. Copper. Copper that had not shown up to the grave-robbers' iron when they had visited soon after the burial. A Coppermind.- 360 replies

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Elenion replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
It is, but the kind of funny that you only see in hindsight, after some cake has been sacrificed to stress-eating. I've asked her to prom and dropped a couple of hints, but nothing concrete. My major concern was that she would see what happened and assume one of two things: 1. I wasn't meaning to drop those hints, and I'm actually with girl #1. Problematic considering that I've been assumed to be with girl #1 before by other people, because I have hugged girl #1 in public (as I do with all of my female friends). 2. I'm a player. I am an inadvertent flirt, so that doesn't help with this one. Working to my advantage is that girl #2 is not the type to pass judgment on you and then lie about it. She's blunt. like me. If I had been socially executed already, I would know about it. Eh, this bubble of social shame should do just fine. *hug* -
Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Elenion replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
I don't know what I did to bring bad karma down on me, but I definitely did something. So I'm at school, going from eating lunch in the drama room to my AP English class. I'm walking down the hallway with one of my good friends who happens to be a girl, but we're not romantically involved at all. As we're talking, making our way down the hallway, she has to dodge someone's elbow. She succeeded in that, but tripped on her own feet and fell onto me. Now she's almost a foot shorter than me, and wasn't fully off her feet, so I stayed upright and didn't even break stride. So far, this is no big deal. But just then, walking the other way down the hallway, is the girl that I have a crush on. The way the timing worked out, what this second girl saw was my friend leaning up against my shoulder (from falling into it), with her hand on my shoulder blade (from catching herself). Things were assumed that I need not specify, and because we were going opposite directions in a crowded hallway I couldn't get to her to explain what had actually happened. The good news: I caught the observer after school and explained everything. Upon, hearing the real story, she believed me, or at least told me she did. Crisis: (mostly) averted. -
Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Elenion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The wood shuddered and cracked, but it held. The Emissary of Mandos hit it again with his short, stout sword, and this time it buckled. Blasted coffins. Every time it took more effort to open them, and so far Mandos hadn't gathered the power to transport his servants into anywhere else. That would change eventually, but for now... coffins. Climbing out of the shredded coffin into the coffin-maker's shop, the Emissary assessed his bearings. He was in the eastern edge of town, about two miles from the center. But instead of setting off for the center of town, where his main objective lay, the Emissary strolled casually in the other direction. He had another coffin to hit, this one already buried. The grave was fresh, recent. The grass had barely grown over it, and the etching of the name was not yet filled with ash. Cassius Danger Capital, it read. This was the one Mandos had specified, all right. The Emissary thrust his shovel into the ground and began to dig.- 360 replies

I ship Shadolin because Shalladin is so... stereotypical. Main girl ends up with main guy? I expect Brandon to do better. Besides, with their personalities, a Shalladin divorce would always be close. Would you rather eat Rock's stew with Bridge 4 or go thieving with Kelsier (no allomancy included)?

Nale, because he doesn't have an army of ruthless Inquisitors backing him up. He would just kill me outright, efficiently, no torture involved. Would you rather be married to Sadeas or put on the bridge crews?

I'm part school nerd, part local bluntness and sass master, and part relationship counselor. I got a 36 on the ACT as a sophomore, and I'm in 3 AP classes right now as a junior, so I've got that nerd reputation. But I'm also that guy who makes sassy comments during class just loud enough for my neighbors to hear. I have a reputation among my friends as the blunt one, and so when they need an honest opinion about things like relationships they come to me for advice, making me the most unskilled relationship counselor ever. My speech is made up of a mix of big words (used inadvertently), but among my friends I often mimic the local slang as a joke. I'm an unashamed grammar Nazi. I go on a few dates, but rarely with the same person. However, that doesn't stop some of my schoolmates from seeing me talking to girls (I'm an inadvertent flirt, apparently) and thinking I'm in relationships. Awkward!

What's your favorite.... ? (Forum game)
Elenion replied to Kestrel's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Hold on, which AoE are you talking? Would you happen to play the Forgotten Empires expansion to AoE2? Tactics. Dunno why, but I just like the feel of the word in my mouth. Favorite genre of music to put on while working or cleaning? -
For me, role-playing was the reason I joined up.

Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Elenion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
A black sword in a black scabbard, corrupted Investiture leaking from the blade. Mandos had been pleased with the acquisition, despite its steep cost. A void in space, full of beings but devoid of life. They had had names, once. There was a plan, of course, but one that only Mandos knew all the details of. Whatever it was, it required death. Lots of it. Entropy. Time eats away at every object, every thought, every soul. Only Death himself will survive. And he will. [My RP is continuing off of my unifying storyline, picking up where it left off after LG29, which in turn was a sequel to MR16.] Well, I considered passing this game up in favor of a longer rest from SE, but I had a blast last TrollGM!Joe game I played. I'm signing up as an Emissary of Mandos; a different one than LG29's. This one is a little more honorable than the last. Since this game has the potential for faction betrayal, I will make sure that this game does not end like LG29. If I end up on multiple factions at once, I will do my best to coordinate and gain victory for both factions. If this is not possible, I will not leak a faction's information such as names, roles, action targets, past actions, etc. to the other faction, and let the game take its course. Sound fair? I vote that we have rollover at 9 p.m. PST (10 p.m. MST), which is the same as Stick's vote. @A Joe in the Bush So, Coinshooting doesn't reveal alignments, and the lynch doesn't reveal roles, right? Does Coinshooting reveal roles? Does the lynch reveal alignments?- 360 replies
