  1. @everyone, if Ripple is lynched neutral and I die tonight from an SK kill, put hard scrutiny on Megasif as possible SK.
  2. I didn't see that vote swap when I made my previous post, and it's got me worried that Megasif might actually be the SK.
  3. I'm glad that Ripple isn't Balelight, because the claimed second life was reminding me of Balelight's daughter's role abilities, and if Ripple was Balelight then I'd likely need to protect her. Sorry, Ripple, but I don't know much about your role and what I do know implies that you're an SK. This might be LG28 all over again. In that game, the Heart of the House could only be killed once all eliminators were dead. Maybe, in this game, Balelight can be killed, but only in RP by a faction that has won the game.
  4. I have a win con clarification in from Seonid: for my win con, I actually didn't need to kill the Malcontent, but I needed to destroy the Reckoners, Epic Cabal, and any SK-type roles. Makes me really surprised that I've made it this far, but doesn't really change much game-wise. Hold on: @RippleGylf are you Balelight?
  5. Glad you liked it. I'd say Vin, because it might touch something with her past. MeLaan would be more likely to make out with the guy next to her than cry, IMO. Who would be the better chef, Raoden or Kelsier?
  6. Wax, because Dalinar would likely refuse to use it because it would give him an unfair advantage over the Parshendi. Steris, on the other hand, would force Wax to learn to use the internet. Who would be more likely to be caught robbing graves: Dalinar or Elend?
  7. Here's where my tactical notes get sketchy, but I do have some ideas. Even my own win con isn't clear as to exactly who constitutes a threat to Balelight--I'll ask a PM clarification about that. [For this I will assume that Drake was telling the truth about believing there is an SK, which makes sense considering that without an SK the Reckoners would likely have won last round, or if they needed to kill me than I should have won this round] Loyal Citizen: Destroy Reckoners, SK, and Malcontent Malcontent: Destroy Cabal, SK, and Loyal Citizen Reckoners: Destroy Cabal and SK Cabal: Destroy Reckoners and the SK SK: Destroy all other players The reason the game hasn't ended is because none of these have accomplished their win cons yet. The Loyal Citizen (me) hasn't killed the SK yet. The Malcontent died early. The Reckoners destroyed the Cabal but died before killing the SK. The Cabal all died before destroying either of the threats to them. The SK hasn't killed everyone yet. So basically, apart from the Neutrals working on their individual win cons, I think that I'm trying to kill the SK before the SK can kill everyone. Hence why it's in everyone's best interests to help me with my objective.
  8. Seonid can't say this because he's the GM, but most games like these end when a major faction fulfills their win con. There are likely no more Reckoners, but I guess it's possible for there to be another one alive. My game analysis is strongly against it, though, and if you want I can tell you that reasoning. SK is serial killer. SKs almost always have 1 kill per night, and a win con to be the last person standing. They also usually have an extra life, which is why Ripple's extra life concerns me so much.
  9. Check out the rules for Desolations and Dustbringers here in this forum if you're looking for ideas; that was created by Assassin in Burgundy. If you wanted to make something homebrew I could help review the rules or something: I'm a DM for D&D 5th and a GM for Edge of the Empire, with much more experience in the latter.
  10. Happy birthday to @Drake Marshall and @Assassin in Burgundy !
  11. Unreliable narrators have been a staple of the classics for a long time now. Especially when you're dealing with Sanderson and history, never trust the author.
  12. Neither, because they'd both be off in a tavern taking about their love woes. Who would be most likely to be busted for drug possession: Steris or Jasnah?
  13. He's a bit suspicious of me because during last cycle, Drake told everyone that his role was non-threatening. When I made my analysis this cycle--before HH roleclaimed--I disregarded Drake's claim about HH because we don't know if Drake was lying or not, and that made him suspicious of me because Drake turns out to have been telling the truth. We should leave HH alone because he's not hurting anyone, and killing him would make him lose, so unless we have evidence of him being evil then we shouldn't mess up his win con. Edit: @Sami you're on the Shard right now. What are your game thoughts?
  14. *sees Phoenix Wright GIF* LOL As for the Loyal Citizen claim, you can't generalize what alignments exist in this game based on the alignments we know. That lost the village LG24 because they wouldn't believe that there was a Derethi team. In this game, for instance, if we didn't know Roadwalker was a Malcontent, and he was living and claimed it, nobody would believe him. I'm fairly sure that I'm the opposite of what Roadwalker was; he likely wanted to see Balelight fall, while I want to see Balelight triumph. Road's alignment is proof that single-person alignments exist, and his win con balances with mine. You assert that I might be a Malcontent, but if I was I'd be the worst Malcontent ever. Without my pushing for answers, Mark wouldn't have outed himself and Drake wouldn't have acted as suspiciously in thread, and likely neither of them would have been lynched. Since the Malcontents most likely dislike the Epics, why would a Malcontent lay waste to a faction dedicated to killing Epics? Your argument for an SK being alive has merit, but that doesn't mean that I'm it. You agree that I'm likely not SK, so who does that leave? For one, you. How did you survive that attack?
  15. Now that I have more time on my hands, I'd like to say that you seem very convinced that there is an SK in this game. I don't think we've seen any evidence of that except speculation on Drake's part, and given his alignment that's hardly credible. He was likely attempting to find a target for us to search for other than the Reckoners. But back to my first point, Ripple seems to believe that there is an SK in the game despite a lack of evidence. Maybe she has a more credible source about that than Drake: I think that if there is an SK it's her: SKs usually get an extra life, and she so far has had no explanation for her surviving that attack. She was quick to accuse Drake and quicker to accuse me, and I don't remember her having this itchy of a trigger finger in the past. I'm not saying there's an SK in this game (I'm skeptical), but if there is one then I'm quite sure it's her.
  16. I'm fairly sure I can actually prove to everyone here that I'm not an SK, just from what we have seen in the thread. 1. As Drake said, for me to have been the SK, I would have had to have known the name of the Loyal Citizens faction at the beginning of the game for me to claim it. 2. If you assume that I'm not a Loyal Citizen, then I would have had to have known it from having a Fake ID. 3. We know from Drake's death that the Fake ID is an item. 4. We know that 3 turnovers ago, Elith targeted me with an item swapping ability, but he didn't get anything. 5. Therefore, we know that I wasn't packing a Fake ID at that time. 6. Because none of the other item takers died with the Fake ID, we know that nobody stole a Fake ID off of me before that time. 7. From #6 and #7, therefore, I never could have had a Fake ID. 8. Going off of that, I couldn't have learned the name of the Loyal Citizens from a Fake ID. 9. Ergo, the only way I could have known about the Loyal Citizens when I did was from seeing the name in my role PM.
  17. Darn, Drake saw through my false-retraction scam. I was hoping for it to be a bit more of a surprise when he was lynched. Drake: What you did that alerted me was use false dichotomy. You said that you weren't Reckoner because you had a doc with Alv, but didn't address the possibility of both. Why would an actual neutral need a Fake ID, or be in contact with the role designed to inform about and to the Reckoners? @Seonid Your vote tally shows Ripple and I voting on Mark, not Drake. Also, someone Roleblocked me again. Not that they disrupted anything except an attempted PM to Ripple, but still. Not cool. And finally, now that I'm fairly sure that the Reckoners are gone for good, here's the info that I've collected so far about the living players: Len: Loyal Citizen. Both Reckoners have tried to cast doubt on that, but trust me, I'm what I say I am. I'm not even Balelight himself or something like that, just a vanilla. Sami: Public-claimed Neutral, p.25. Seems very detached from the game, which from her seems like proof of her alignment. Cole: Claimed Gravedigger. Although Drake was Reckoner, that doesn't mean that everything he said was a lie, so I think that Cole telling the truth is a safe assumption to make. Shqueeves: I've got nothing about him. Rebecca: Same deal. I've seen her viewing the thread a few times, though. Ripple: Had an extra life, possibly from Ecth's Motion Detector, but I don't know how she would have got it. Claimed neutral. HH: Drake said his role is benign, but that was coming from Drake so we can't trust it. Elith: Practically-confirmed Black Market. Megasif: Claimed neutral, assisted in the Mark lynch so likely not Reckoner. Practically confirmed: Len, Elith Probably truthful: Cole, Sami Maybe neutral, maybe not: Ripple, HH, Megasif No idea: Shqueeves, Rebecca @Sami @Shqueeves @Rebecca @RippleGylf @Hemalurgic_Headshot @Megasif I'm not going to go all dictator and force everyone to claim a role, but if you do choose to claim than we can likely find ways to help you achieve your win con, in addition to narrowing down the search area for an SK, if there is one.
  18. Yes and no. Items full of Investiture are highly resistant to external investiture, but the physical properties of the metal wouldn't change. So in this scenario, the armor would likely be immune to Soulcasting, being Lashed up, or destroyed by Division, but it would be no better than a suit of armor when it comes to physical resistance. A Windrunner couldn't Lash the armor upwards, but they could Lash something like a coin or a table to fly into the armor and damage it. The armor wouldn't be able to be Soulcast, but a skilled Soulcaster might do something like turning the air around it into a solid.
  19. The alternative is that I PoE their identity. Really, all that's left is Ripple. Sami, Tammi, Shqueeves. Oh, and Cole
  20. @Drake Marshall Here's what I'm thinking. If you tell me who the last Reckoner is, it would be within my power to get them lynched. However, it would also be within their power to kill me. Therefore, to avoid us killing each other, we settle things using Alvron's favorite methods. The Reckoner and I both promise to follow this plan: the Reckoner flips a coin, heads and they kill me, tails and they commit suicide using their own kill. They don't flip until last time they're on before turnover, and they don't announce the results. In the next write-up we see who was lucky, and we see who is dead.
  21. Last night I saw you viewing the thread but not posting, and hovering my mouse over your name told me you were using personal messenger. At the same time, Drake was taking a long time to respond to a couple of my posts, so I assumed you two were talking things out in PM. I was up to about 12:15 my time. And I've thought of how I'll keep this game interesting. I promise: if you tell me the name of the last Reckoner, I'll do my best to make this game more interesting. I'm on the fence about Drake. He appears to be working closely with Alv, which implies he's neutral, but he seems to have access to the same info about the game state as Mark claimed the Reckoners had. Alv was the Informant, was he informing to or about the Reckoners?
  22. I guess it could be that HH has Ecth's defense item, but I don't see how he could have gotten his hands on it. I've got to get to bed. Talk to you tomorrow, where we can hopefully figure out who is what.
  23. Roleblock. Kept me from using my Mobile to PM HH. It's likely an Epic since Roadwalker claimed to be Roleblocked C1. I'm fairly sure that the last Reckoner is Ripple. I've been suspicious of her ever since she said something funky on p12, and PoE has ruled basically everyone else out.
