  1. For first of the sun, I'd think that anything related to the ones above would be important, especially related to their technology and magic(for the purposes of figuring out where they are from).

    Do all the book

I did hear something about Alloy of law having to occur slightly earlier in the Scadrial time-line because of some kind of time-line conflict with something in SA, not that the overall chronological order of the books was changed.

    Do all the book

No, they do not in fact happen at the same time. The exact timeline isn't known for sure, but we know that Elantris happens first, then the first mistborn trilogy, then warbreaker, then Stormlight archive and finally the second mistborn trilogy (which, incidentally, is 4 books long). this contains more info: http://coppermind.net/wiki/Chronology
  4. I actually believe Brandon said that Vin "was too observant for her own good", not that she specifically noticed something about hoid, though that was a logical conclusion at the time. In other words, I don't think anything changed.
  5. Just a small correction. The Karman line, after which space is generally considered to begin, is located at 100 km altitude, not 30. Your initial jump still easily gets you high enough though, getting as high as 300km if it is done straight up.
  6. Are we certain this is how it works? I'd imagine that you actually deplete the nicrosil charge in you medallion doing this, probably at a 1:1 rate or worse, otherwise it would be incredibly broken.
  7. Bromo-Sapien, have you read the entirety of Words of Radiance? If you haven't, I'd quit this thread until you have, as the answer to your question involves some major spoilers.
  8. It's a decent theoru which covers most bases. One comment I do have is that it doesn't explain why the KR made their defection so public. If this was the reason, why didn't they just go quietly in the night, instead of putting up the spectacle Dalinar witnessed in his visions?
  9. Nice theory. However, this has been discussed before: The conclusion was that it most likely aren't the stonewards, as in one of Dalinars visions he watched them take part in the recreance.
  10. This is also what Nalan seems to believe, if his reasoning is anything to go by (If I hunt down these Radiants, a new desolation will be prevented).
  11. What I meant to say was that, for whatever reason, Taln had released the bond on his honor-blade. This meant that it no longer had any effect on eye-color. As for the theory that the blade carries the mindof the herald, why wasn't Szeth affected by that?
  12. The only time his honor blade was mentioned was in the end of WoK, and he basically just dropped it at his feet, suggesting it might not have been properly bonded.
  13. It is mentioned somewhere that a radiants eyes revert to their original color after he/she hasn't used stormlight or their blade for a while. That's probably the case here as well.
  14. You know, for such a "crazy theory", it actually does have some merrit. I'd add that the emphasis on "boring old kholin uniform" might indicate that he does away with uniforms altogether and starts wearing more stylish stuff, which fits with your theory.
  15. You are assuming that Adonalsium is like a shard, a mortal vessel holding some great power. I don't think that's the case, so there would be no reason for a body to appear.
  16. I'd say that it is certainly possible, but more difficult than just targeting one guy. To bring in your explanation/theory of intent: rioting one guy requires the intent "Soothe guy X". Rioting an area requires the intent "Soothe everyone in area Y", both of which would be relatively easy to visualize and maintain. However, rioting multiple targets would requires an intent along the lines of "Soothe Guy A", "Soothe guy B", "soothe guy C", etc., which would be harder to maintain as you are essentially splitting your focus and doing a multiple of the mental work soothing an area or one target requires.. I hope this made some sense to some people.
  17. Surprised no one has mentioned this yet: A mistborn era 2 game in the style of red dead redemption.
  18. I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but Siri wasn't meant to carry the gid-kings child. Or rather, her child would be stillborn and switched with a returned child the priests already had secured.
  19. The first part of your question is answered in WoR. As for shardplate, I'll keep that as probably, but RAFO.
  20. I could be mistaken, but the terms you mention are mostly created by fans to help create an internal language to do as you ask, namely describe how the magic system works. Some things are directly from the books (Bonds will almost always refer to something like the Nahel bonds of the Spren), while others are more speculative (focus seems to refer to some kind of physical object involved in using investiture, like metal on Scadrial). Apologies if I'm completely mistaken and all these terms are in fact official, this was just the impression I got from reading through forum threads in which these terms are used. Now to get to the question you asked, I'm pretty sure we don't have one official truth about how magic generally works, just a lot of reasonably informed speculation.
  21. Actually, what adolin agreed to was a duel in which he was at a numerical disadvantage. This meant that he could receive help, as long as he remained outnumbered.
  22. Ah, I understand why we are misunderstanding eachother now. I always assumed the bands where originally the kind you can wear on your arm, and that Kelsier basically forged/melted them down into the spearhead we saw in the book (with the bands resulting from the shape of the orignal object).
  23. Two quotes from the book, both by wax, from chapters 7 and 14 are: So I suppose they are indeed an alloy, and not an aluminum coating.
  24. I understand your explanation, I'm just not sure if that's actually what is going on here, but I don't think there is a way to prove it one way or another.
  25. I'm not sure if I agree with that explanation, but have an upvote anyway for coming up with it!
