  1. In the MAG, tapping aluminium made you more resistant to emotional allomancy and helped you overcome psychological harm. I guess that makes sense, as reinforcing your identity helps resist external influences and (like gold) heals any damage to it (PTSD, stress-induce phobias, that sort of thing).
  2. In the deleted scene from TES, in which Hoid's presence is basically confirmed, it is suggested that Shai's involvement in fixing the emperor might actually have been one of Hoid's goals.
  3. siegeworks (this is not a random choice, there is actually a story behind this one.)
  4. As I understood it, compounding allows you to get more mileage out of stored attributes, not the other way around. So normally you would get out as much as you put in, while with compounding you can get out four times as much. How would compounding work when you get hit by a leecher anyway? Shouldn't that stop you from burning the metalmind?
  5. Actually, it would be more correct to say the Electrum shows where you could have been in the next few seconds, because it allows you to react to what you see. For example, if you see your Electrum-shadow get hit by an arrow, you could side-step that arrow, meaning that your Electrum-shadow only gave you a possible future. It is because of this that Electrum allows you to counteract Atium.
  6. Only, the Kandra can't use it as they can't make use of feruchemy and allomancy.
  7. How about a Pulser Paramedic? They'd be the first on the scene and could slow time for critical patients, allowing additional help to arrive or to reduce the time they need to spend in transit to the hospital. Since in many cases (heart attack, bad wounds) every second counts, being able to reduce the time spent waiting for proper treatment could save lives.
  8. Parshman. If I have to be a slave, I'd rather be the kind that people won't want to hit with a Shardblade. Speaking of shardblades: Blade or Plate?
  9. Purelake. Tranquil semi-tropical surroundings and occasional visits of interesting outsiders. Would you rather be a Shard bound to one world, or a worldhopper with Hoid's "interesting-events" sense?
  10. I hate to add another possible date tot he list, but the Dutch equivalent to Amazon has it listed for release on the 21st of june (https://www.bol.com/nl/p/brandon-sanderson-s-white-sand-volume-1-hardcover/9200000055903993/) Edit: bummer, they've upped the release date to 12 July.
  11. In "Mistborn: Secret History" some hints are give as to how this might work (yeah, I know, odd to find it there). Given that this could technically qualify as a spoiler, I'll put the explanation as I understand it in spoiler tags, but it doesn't really touch on the story of that book, so it should be fine for people who haven't read the book yet to read.
