  1. Follow this thread, so you get an email every time someone posts. People are really good about posting here whenever his website or youtube updates. 2. The only one we know of is "change"
  3. I know other people agree with you, but I have always interpreted that to mean the Dawnshards known to "bind to" any creature voidish or mortal, as in, this weapon can just as easily be picked up by the enemy, rather than interpreting it as a dawnshard of binding.
  4. Here is Dalinar is on Oath #3 And here's a bonus one on Unity
  5. Invocation is right, Uli Da is Sho Del, And this talks about Sho Del are Fain.
  6. Yes, they are different. Uli Da, the former vessel of Ambition, is Sho Del, part of the fain ecosystem. Therefore, fainlife is not anti-invested, or related to anti-investiture in any meaningful way.
  7. You can't summon extra mass from nowhere; in Feruchemy, if you weigh 100 kilos, and store 50 of them for an hour, you have a resevoir of 50 kilo-hours to use as you want. If you want to double your weight, you burn through your 50 kilo-hours in just .5 hours. You could conceivably (see alloy of law) burn through your 50 kilo-hours of weight in 0.01 hours to weigh 5000 extra kilograms. Mass is the easiest feruchemical attribute to talk about because we know how mass works, but you can store half of your sense of taste or smell for an hour in order to be able to smell half again as well for an hour. We just have no words to describe the units it would be measured in.
  8. I don't think there is a conflict, I don't think aluminum can be invested. Period. Feruchemical or otherwise.
  9. Where are you getting this idea? These WoBs are from a couple years ago, but they are pretty definitive. Were these what you were referring to?
  10. These are actually spelled "dawncities", which emphasises the fact they might be related to dawnshards, dawnchant, and are part of roshar's prehistory.
  11. Or do what I do, and follow this thread, and in my following preferences, just get an email every time someone posts. Sometimes the email are stuff like this, where people are just talking, but most of the time it's an update.
  12. He says knight or knights of is likely to be the first two words, it's just the last ones that are up in the air. My suggestion is Knights of Wisdom and Truth
  13. As large as you think the sun looks, the crystal trees around the top of the cover are a dead giveaway it's in shadesmar.
  14. Ehh, I wouldn't go that far yet. That the five scholars accomplised something does not mean it was "no problem."
  15. An investiture particle should be an Investon, with charge measured in Khriss
  16. The Krell are the name of sci-fi alien species going back 50+ years, that many authors/creators have used as an easter egg for genre fans.
  17. Predominant theory is that Dragonsteel--Brandon's company--is Adonalsium's metal. Brandon also named the seventeenth shard(site) before he revealed the seventeenth shard(organisation) in books.
  18. Here is the explanation for the silver thing:
  19. I felt that Odium teamed up with Autonomy because Devotion and Dominion are their natural opposites.
  20. I don't think that's Navani creating light, so much as the Sibling being capable of creating towerlight, and needing someone to reattune them to Honor's pitch.
  21. Plenty of people listen to these books as audiobooks. Capitolizing both words in the compound name of the radiant orders seems perfectly reasonable.
  22. We have in WoB. This is the answer: To the "middle parts" of this
  23. Maybe the secret rites turned people into cognitive shadows, and then the evil showed up and turned the cognitive shadows into shades. Brandon's hypothetical threnody novel is dark and hopeless, maybe because unlike Elantris, there is no way to turn them back.
