  1. I could vote for STINK. Then we would have a tie. Would you like that, Alv? If they are both village, you'd die next round.
  2. Yup. I'm pretty suspicious of him, but I'll be less so if JUQ really is an Elim. I'm still getting bad reads on Alv, to, though.
  3. Happy Thanksgiving Jondesu. I'm thankful for the excellent community that has sprung up around Brandon's books; The Shard. It really has been wonderful. I'm also thankful for Frank Sinatra. His music has been playing nonstop all day where I'm staying, and it makes excellent background music for thanksgiving.
  4. If he isn't, my next main suspicions are Jondesu, and STINK. If he is, my main suspicions will be Alv, and Jondesu. In that order.
  5. People like a certain type of story. Eventually they'll get bored, but right now Marvel can basically print money by reusing a plot line and changing up the characters/powers. It's hard to create something new, and when you have a storyline that works... Just change a bit here and there and make some more money. That said, I'd like to see some more different stories. There's only so much you can do, and it's a bit scary to try something new when the movies are costing as much as they are to make, but I'd like to see them vary just a bit more. I still haven't seen the movie, so I suppose I can't really talk more about that. Hopefully I'll be able to see it soon.
  6. This is absurd. I'm getting a serious Elim vibe here, especially from Alv and JUQ. I don't really have a good reason to suspect STINK right now, but I think the reasons to suspect JUQ are fairly valid. I could see him voting on STINK to preserve his life, but I still think that there is more valid evidence for JUQ then there is for STINK. DA's vote is probably just DA being DA. If JUQ ends up being a villager, then I won't mind lynching STINK. But I still think Jondesu is the most suspicious. However, if I leave my vote on him it will count for nothing. So here we are.
  7. 'Caw' Right there at the end. What was that?
  8. I know. That's why I'm still voting on him. Plus, looking at his actions, I can see some correlation between how he's acting now and how he's acted in the past. And I'd like to hear what he has to say. And STINK, do you have any suspicions? What do you think of Jondesu?
  9. I personally think Jondesu has been acting a bit odd, however, that could be put down to his being a 'first time villager'. Still, I think I'm the most suspicious of him, and I'll go back over the thread today to try and draw up some more evidence beyond just gut reads. I also think that this JUQ bandwagon is an awful idea. It actually increases my suspicions of Jondesu and Polking. I'm not sure what to think of Doc.
  10. It took me about two minutes to realize you were quoting Doc. It was right around the same time that I checked Doc's post and found that it was the exact same text. It might have been a good idea to put that in a quote box.
  11. This is cool. It's an entirely fine way to go about things, and I think it's an interesting idea. You've made it clear, and I like what you're doing. That said, I play these games because I enjoy the strategy, and how it stimulates my mind. If I want to RP, then I'll do it, because I enjoy it. But I play these games for the opportunity to engage my mind. I think that it's very important that everyone should play these games how they think best, and I entirely agree with you about 'Worthwhile Contribution'. It's very subjective. You're absolutely right. It's very good that you've made this clear. I have played with you in the past, and I had absolutely no idea this is how you felt about your reputation. I would hope that, now that you've said this, you will find that people will act accordingly. Still, I think Nyali has a good point. I know, when I looked at these games, I did not sign up for the RP. I signed up because I love Mafia-style games. I enjoy thinking about things from a strategic standpoint, and using my mind in a way that allows me to test it and exercise it against people who think similarly to how I do. I don't get this chance often. I get my fill of RP in other ways, but when I see a game like this, I might RP, because it looks cool. In conclusion, I think that each and every person has as much right to not RP at all as they do to RP. I don't think that you're saying that RPing is the only way to play, however. I appreciate that everyone can play as they'd like, and I'm glad you've expressed your feelings. It makes it easier for me to play with you, knowing how you feel about the game. Wow. I'm surprised I had time to write all this. Editl; Ninja'd by Seonid. I agree with all of his points. He actually said what I was trying to say better than I did. This is an excellent community, and I think it's because we act like one. This community is very accepting of all playstyles, as long as they don't offend anyone, or break the rules, and I think that it's wonderful.
  12. It's sad that I saw this coming. The level of paranoia here is killing me. I actually did ask for confirmation. I was mostly wondering if Omens could give a neutral role. I think I asked the GM this earlier, and I was given a PAFO, which I suppose was obvious. I should have asked if there were two Traitors. I can tell you I'm not a traitor, and that I didn't find anything last night, but I can't prove it. I'm actually kind of suspicious of Jondesu, I think, but I have been somewhat busy, and would like to read over the thread before I make a definite accusation. As I said in MR18, I've been kind of busy visiting relatives, so my activity will not be at it's usual levels until after Thanksgiving.
  13. This is just a poke vote, right? I don't think I've even posted this game yet. And yes, having your name appear in red gets much closer to giving you a heart attack than being mentioned. So please mention me instead of poking me. I'd rather not have a heart attack anytime soon. I doubt I'll be increasing my collection, because the only method of killing is the lynch. I'm having trouble gathering my suspicions RN, partially because I'm visiting family for Thanksgiving, and partially because trying to do two games in limited time at once in the time I have is messing with my gut reads. However, I will say I'm currently more suspicious of Elbereth than Doc, if I'm reading this game right. Sorry if my thoughts are somewhat jumbled. I've not had more than 5 minutes at a time to type this over the course of several hours.
  14. I'm just sitting here waiting. Maybe having Rollovers at a good time is not as great as I thought it was. Now instead of having general 'I wonder what will happen' paranoia, I have minute by minute, creeping paranoia. Meh. Not sure the change was worth it. edit; My last minute paranoia was Ninja'd by Straw's last minute insanity.
  15. Ooo. Rollover's coming. Won't it be interesting to see what happens next? I apologize ahead of time for how odd and dramatic that sounded. I just came from watching Sherlock.
  16. Moro took a left. He had already left the Hall, having decided that Kasther was not coming back any time soon. Moro had decided that the most advisable course of action was to find another way out. Once he had done that, he could find what he was searching for, and escape. He came to another intersection fairly quickly, and took another left. Moro found himself standing in the kitchen. The servants pathways seemed to be an excellent way to get around unseen. Moro walked around the kitchen, searching for the pathways, and found a small corridor leading off in a generally northwards direction. He sighed. Everything was made so much smaller than necessary. Did no one have tall servants? How was one supposed to get around? Moro, bent nearly double, loped along the servants pathway. It took a sharp right turn after a while. Than another. Moro frowned. Where did these pathways lead? Surely not to another room on this floor. Moro stopped when he came to yet another right. This was absurd. Moro cautiously peered around the corner. There was another hall, which came to a halt about fifty feet away. Moro turned around, looking back the way he came. He blinked. Half sprinting, Moro rushed to the end of the corridor he had just come down. At the end of the hall, defying all logic, instead of a left to go back the way he had come, was a right. Moro felt odd. For the first time in quite a while, he felt waves of emotion come over him. An emotion he had not felt in ages. Moro could not control his surroundings. This house was not what it seemed to be. And Moro was scared. Sorry for not posting a ton of game related discussion, guys. I'd tend to agree with Orlok (I think), however, for lack of a better person to lynch, I personally don't have a problem with lynching an inactive.
  17. Very likely. I've always assumed, personally, that if you had enough knowledge combined with enough raw intellect/processing power, then you could basically tell the future. Taravangian was already very learned in both overall cosmere knowledge and knowledge of Roshar, so I assumed that if he gained huge processing power than he could tell a flawed version of the future; The Diagram. I think the Diagram is flawed, however, I could be wrong, and new info is making me wonder. I've talked about this in other topics before, although I enjoy talking about it quite a good deal. I definitely think, considering new information, that Mr. T definitely gained some realmatic knowledge, as well as possible some general knowledge of Roshar, when he created the Diagram. Possible in a similar way to how Sazed/Rashek/Vin gained knowledge rapidly after ascending.
  18. This is very interesting to me. I'd assumed for a long while that it was just that, basically raw processing power, and I'd had a few people tell me otherwise, but it's nice to see some WoB confirming it. Taravangian's intellgience is very interesting to me. The whole concept is cool, and is one I've thought about outside of/before reading SA. I might do a theory on it at some point. Thanks for collecting these.
  19. This is a Discworld reference. I personally found that extremely humourous over the course of the Watch books. Len. Read. Now.
  20. Did you actually run the probabilities, or are you just saying you did because it sounds cool? I just say I run probabilities, I really don't. Actually, I enjoyed fostering a grudge throughout that game. If you read through the doc, you'll see that I seriously considered killing absolutely everyone after Len defected. Going last man standing would have been rather rude towards my team, though, so I ended up not doing it. But Len, I'll just say that Bard got to you first.
