Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I still think we should lynch Len. -sigh- And the reasons, IMO, are better than those for lynching Sheep. Just because he somehow survived innactivity filter? All that means is he was in a PM. Or maybe we just missed a post of his in a past cycle? Idk. It feels wrong.- 463 replies

It might be because I'm just watching Avatar TLA for the first time now, but suddenly references to it seem to be everywhere. That episode was probably one of the funniest, IMO.

politics Aparently Nostradamus Predicts Election
Magestar replied to mattig89ch's topic in General Discussion
Nostradomus' predictions are a bit of a joke, although looking at these it's a bit odd. However, I'm sure that there are a number of other instances this could be translated to refer to. Nostradomus is sort of famous for making like a billion predictions, in such a way that saying 'Nostradomus was right!' Is sort of like saying me saying 'This flower will be red, blue, purple, or yellow." And then someone else saying 'Magestar was right!" when it's one of those colors. Basically what Zathoth said. It is sort of creepy, though, and the emails bit had me wondering. edit; These also appear to have been ordered and taken from specific parts to get a specific message across. I wouldn't read to much into it.- 37 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Alv is apparently the most powerful lurker ever to have roamed lurked in these dark halls. This line has me cracking up over here. I'm going to have to agree with Rae on this one. It is a bit odd. I'm not quite understanding why we'd lynch Sheep anyhow, so Len. Sheep could very easily just have responded to a few PM's somewhere along the way. Ecth, all that red text might be a bit confusing. You might want to pick another color. However, this is a bit more evidence in favor of lynching Len, who I thought we should look into last cycle.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
These were parts of my posts last cycle. Like I said then, I didn't really feel the need to add a vote. I didn't have an opinion, so I held back. There were already five more votes on Jondesu than on anyone else. Basically, I really just didn't care. Looking back, I can't see a good reason not to have put a vote on him, but I had had a long day and just didn't.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Coming straight here from watching an episode of Sherlock, I find these posts rather amusing. I can see that. To be honest, it's hard not to be paranoid of Aman. However, I agree that it's probably good to try and temper that paranoia with reason. Rae. I still have some suspicions of you, and a bad gut read, but your post has dissuaded me from lynching you for now. Nathan's response also cleared up most of my worries about him, as well. edited to respond to Len's edit; Looking at that list, Ecth and Lopen come to mind as the most viable options.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This is probably right. It agrees with what I've seen in previous games, plus it matches Len's projections. This is probably wrong. You're assuming the Elims have one of each role, which is usually not the case, IMO. Idk. In previous games I've been in there have always been more regulars than I expected. It probably has to do with balance things that I don't understand.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm scrolling through last cycle and not seeing it. I suppose he must have posted to have not died this round. Still, I would probably suggest having a coinshot deal with him, in that case. edit; I found it. Wow. That really is just a filter block. I would make a note that this is Nathan's first game, so I'm not going to make any judgements, but I wouldn't mind seeing a coinshot kill him, just in case. That post looks really bad.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It's mainly just a gut read. I don't have a lot of better ideas, and you're giving me bad vibes. Apparently no one else agrees. However, the other person I thought we should lynch seems to be getting some support, so Rae. I'm following similar reasoning to what was presented last cycle. Also, Counting you, unless you know something I don't, it would only be two. At least, I'm pretty sure that's right. It also helps that you're the only other person I'm really getting a read on. Are you counting Doc's vote? Is that what it is? I don't think it's unlikely, personally, but The other two people up for lynching seem to be Ripple, and Nathan. I could see killing an inactive, but honestly I'd prefer to let the filter hit him eventually. That's why we have a filter. As far as Ripple goes, it seems to mostly be gut, and that she defended a Elim(?). She doesn't seem to have posted all that much. I can't tell. edit; Len.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I retracted my vote on Alv in my earlier post, unless I was vote maniped onto him, which seems really unlikely. I'm kind of surprised how many people died of inactivity. I'm also surprised how many were normal villagers. And, seeing as Orlok ended up being a Villager, I think Len or Rae would probably be the next best people to lynch. Finally, I probably won't be on again till tomorrow morning (for me). If I am, it's because I got bored.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The vote at this point seems pretty stable, and I'm not really suspicious of Alvron. However, I'm not feeling the Jondesu lynch. I don't think I really have any better ideas, so I'm not going to add chaos at this point, but I honestly am more worried about Rae, Orlok, and Ecth, in about that order. Ecth is confusing me, Orlok has made some valid points, but unfortunately the points are directed at Aman, who is pretty much confirmed village in my mind, as well as having RL things to back him up. Rae, I think has been acting slightly oddly, as well as giving poor reasons for doing the things she has done. I'm not going to vote this cycle, because I don't feel like I have enough to go on. QFs usually get past me pretty quickly, and I've been pretty busy in RL, so I apologize for being less active than usual and hope to get my feet back under me next cycle.- 463 replies

Quick Fix Game 19: Noble Intentions
Magestar replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oke Doke. Miss a day of posting and the thread is already 5 pages long. I didn't have more than 5-10 mins to be on the shard yesterday due to RL reasons, so I decided it was best not to try and post. Today, however, I would like to say that I'm not sure why we're lynching Jondesu. Can someone explain that to me? It looks like a massive bandwagon, which I'm not really a fan of. Although I do like bands, and wagons, but not together. I also don't think it's unlikely that Doc told Jondesu as the other villager. I could be wrong, but I'm not seeing any really good evidence against Jondsu. However, the arguement between Aman and Orlok is interesting to me.WhiteTextWhiteTextWhiteText. Actually, I'm having trouble deciding whether I trust Aman or Orlok more. Both of you seem to be making good points, so I'll withhold judgement for now. I will note that I'm leaning towards voting for Orlok, because I don't think that Doc would start a lynch on a fellow elim. But then my brain says it might be a distancing tactic, since he knew he was going to die? Whatever. Ooooooo Spooky! Instead, I'll put a poke vote on Alvron, who I don't think has posted very much, and who's opinion I would like to hear. The same is true of the other inactives, but I feel most like poking Alvron. Poking the Dark Lord is fun. Finally, I would like to make a note of Ecthelion's odd behavior. I'm wondering how likely it is that Joe included a Jester role? So far, Ecth has; Rapidly changed votes; Double Posted; and Posted Oddly. This seems almost like he's trying to seem like an Elim, and at the very least it's getting on my nerves. Fraying Nerves Nerves are Fraying like a fraying rope of Nerves. The people who are currently giving me bad vibes are Orlok, Aman, Elenion, and maybe Ripple or Wonko. These are all basically gut reads, and i intend to re-read the last cycle to try and get a better handle on things. Everyone else is way too quiet, or is just not giving me a negative read. All white text is just a joke. I was bored.- 463 replies

Joe, are Metal Vials a real item? Or are they just for the purpose of explaining the Lurcher mechanic? That's what it seems like, but I'd just like to check.- 463 replies

Well, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The book was wonderful, the game was fantastic, and the writeups were all great. Go Aman. I wish, just for once, I could have survived, but I enjoyed being indestructable for the time I was.

Long Game 27: Strife in Ankh Morpork

Ankh Morak probably wouldn't arrest you for spelling offenses. Nights bother me a bit. Nothing really happens except a little bit of set-up for the day cycle. -sigh- -

This is a good idea. However, it might be good to confirm some people as non-monarchs to tell. I can tell you I'm not a monarch, but I'm not sure how to prove it. I should probably re-read the rules. Technically, I think you get some sort of percentage bonus if you aid in the death of someone on the other side, but it's negligible enough that I didn't think it mattered too much. -

Guys, not posting kills discussion. We need to start posting right away. I'll start. I work in the post office. Anyways, I'm not sure how much we should read into the prices. Just judging by what I have, they're rather over-expensive. Then again, this is in pennies, right? So all the prices here are under 5 bucks.
