Long Game 29: A Mote in Adonalsium's Eye
Magestar replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm still a fan of lynching inactives, so I'm going to put my vote on Zephrer, who's been very inactive. He's been on, but he hasn't really posted or contributed. There is the off chance that we'll accidentally lynch someone helpful this way, but with the amount of information we have, I think we have a high chance of error anyway.- 984 replies

Long Game 29: A Mote in Adonalsium's Eye
Magestar replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
On the 'Endowment Creates Roles' bit; I talked to the GM about this, and I'm fairly certain that it only lasts as long as Endowment is investing in that person. Which lasts about one cycle. So... I personally think Endowment should invest in an Awakener or something, for now. But like I said, it won't last very long. Also, I was slightly disappointed by this. Here I was hoping Endowment would build an Uber-Role.- 984 replies

I'll vote today. I also have a problem with no lynches D2. I'll compile suspicions and stuff when I have time. Kind of wishing Endowment hadn't returned Joe. Would have been nice to have some suspicions confirmed.- 984 replies

You voted for Lopen 3 times in one post. That's indicative of panic. I'm not sure what to make of you right now, Joe, but I'm not feeling like lynching Lopen. Except that if you're actually cultivation, then you get proven right and we can lynch Sheep and Lopen soon enough. Plus, since it's D1, as Arinian said, Endowment could resurrect you. @Seonid, what happens with a tie vote?- 984 replies

Long Game 29: A Mote in Adonalsium's Eye
Magestar replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It amuses me that this D1 lynch discussion is referring to the one in LG22, which in turn refers to something in... LG12, I think? I personally think a D1 lynch is always good to establish base reads and discussion. On the same note, I tend to dislike participating in them, so as not to put myself in a position I'll regret later. I think it might be worthwhile to lynch Joe, just for information, but I have a village gut read on him, despite the things he's done. Then again, my gut reads keep getting me in trouble, so I'm going to stick to not voting for now. On this; It looks like it's physically possible for nearly everyone to win via conversion and some shenanigans. However, if we did this, I feel we would be pushed into a very controlled scenario, where, although everyone might win, I think it would become very difficult to have fun. I believe this kind of thing has been discussed before, and while alliances are great, I think any extremely controlled option in order to get everyone to win should be shot down.- 984 replies

Long Game 29: A Mote in Adonalsium's Eye
Magestar replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm reasonably certain this is inaccurate. Depending on what you mean by 'the village'. The 'Shardic Coalition', which is vilage-colored in the rules, only needs to kill everyone in the 17th shard. And then they've won. I don't know if that ends the game, though. And really, Odium's win con isn't exclusive to any other win con. It's just really darn annoying to everyone he thinks might be a shard.- 984 replies

I... I was respect killed? This is why you can't trust anyone in this kind of game. You have to rely on your gut and analysis. See You JUQ! You'll be missed. Thank, Hael, for running this game. I enjoyed both of these games that you've run, and I like to think I learned something. Knowing me, I'll probably forget it, but all the same these games have been awesome. I think the Items in this game added a lot of Flavor, which I loved, and even if I didn't get to RP as much as I would have liked, I felt like I could still contribute with the Items. The inactivity filter was... good. It got people to post more. I lost my pass because I was suddenly unable to get on the Shard at all, which was unfortunate, however, I think that the filter did what it was supposed to do pretty well. Thanks Again for running this game, Hael. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Long Game 29: A Mote in Adonalsium's Eye
Magestar replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't know. Destroying a planet this early seems like a bad idea. I think that it might be useful later in the game to mass role-block a group of players, and it kind of seems like destroying a planet this early doesn't really accomplish anything good. Destroying Scadrial effectively disables Endowments ability to make/be a Mistborn, however, another planet could be destroyed. Plus Endowment losing that ability isn't necessarily a con? I don't know. I'm also not sure that destroying a planet now just so it can't be done later isn't really as effective as you say, seeing as the only situation where someone would destroy a planet would be a break glass in case of emergency moment anyway. The benefits have already sort of been discussed, and I don't know whether or not this is a good idea. I'm going to say not, but I think it has to be up to Ruin to decide. TL;DR: This was really just me thinking through the pros/cons. Ruin has to make the decision.- 984 replies

I'm going to have to agree with Kas on this one. If we were going to go the direction of destroying a world, which I'm not so sure is a good idea anymore, then I think we would have to destroy two, in order to stop Ruins kill. However, I'm not really seeing an instance in which any faction would want to destroy a world, seeing as it really doesn't have a huge benefit. Plus, I'm thinking that it might be useful to have a Shardic kill in the future. I'm unsure about sharing who's on what planet. I don't see the benefit, but I also am not seeing the disadvantages. Could someone explain exactly what sharing that information would even do? Also, I would say that scan roles should probably try and scan as often as possible. That's really my only input on the roles, for now. I should be able to post again later.- 984 replies

Magestar replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Is this a poke vote? Or a promise? You do realize we're on different planets? Is Scadrial empty? I don't necessarily have a problem with the idea, but I feel like using it C1 is a bit odd. It will set the tone for most of the game, although I'm not sure that's a point against using it soon. I think it's really up to Ruin to decide, however, I think they should pick a planet randomly. Do you have any particular reason to pick Scadrial, Joe? I'm probably not going to vote today unless something really compelling comes up.- 984 replies

I'm lazy. Yeah... I'm getting a very bad feeling about this lynch. It's screaming 'Trap' at me. I'm going to leave my vote on Arinian for now, because I really want to see what his alignment is. Plus, it will basically give me my lynch target for next cycle. I find it very likely that some of the Elims are playing dead to make it hard to get a read on them. My only worry is that we have so few villagers that any inactive deaths will irrevocably tip the scales in their favor.

My eyes hurt now. The spelling! The Horror! Also if Arinian is good I'm voting for Joe tomorrow. If he's an Elim I think that Joe will be come pretty much cleared. But a couple things, including the fact that he hopped off of Elenion yesterday, are making me suspicious. If Arinian is an Elim than I think that Assassin probably is as well, considering that he attempted a last minute vote on Joe last cycle.

It is the Anniversary Game. It's supposedly awesome, and and also stuck in a time loop, if I remember correctly, which is why it occurs every year. @Metacognition could probably explain it better than that, seeing as he has run both of the previous AG's.- 984 replies
