    Wow, those are quite hard questions to answer, because the answers are so personal. Not personal in the "private stuff I don't want to share" sense, but personal in the "I can only answer for myself, my answer only applies to me, and very likely won't help you much, if at all" sense. First, to answer your question, we need to establish something. what is gender? Gender is a social construct. Our society treats men and women differently, and men and women see themselves differently. People can say all they want that your gender doesn't (or shouldn't) matter and everyone should treat people the same regardless of their gender, but I think that's wrong. Gender affects everything you do. How you sit, how you walk, how people react to you and what their initial assumptions of you entail, how you dress, how you stand, how you talk, how often you talk, what you say and how you say it, how you raise your voice to be heard, how you breathe, how you prepare for work in the morning, how you shop, how you handle various emotions, ... I can keep going with this, on and on. I am very aware of these differences. I have to be, every time I speak, every time I breathe. I'm not saying there's one "right" way to do these things determined by your gender. But, I am saying that your gender changes and affects these things, and so many more, and on a subconscious level for most people, especially cisgendered people. So, what is gender identity? Gender identity is which social concept of gender you feel most suits you, which one feels right. How do you tell what gender identity is yours? That's not really a question that has an answer, but there are definitely signs to look out for that suggest that your current gender expression is out of sync with your gender identity. The most prevalent of these is the feeling that your body looks wrong in the mirror. Many people who experience gender dysphoria have an eating disorder that results from thinking something is wrong with your body but not knowing what. Personally, I was anorexic as a teenager, because when your body looks that wrong to you, a "logical" next step is to try taking drastic measures hoping that something you do will fix whatever it is that's wrong. Most signs are pretty individual though. And the worst part is that they are often only obvious in hindsight. I constantly borrowed clothing from my girlfriends, I would assume feminine standing postures when not paying attention, I avoided mirrors, I always identified with female characters in stories I read, I always chose female avatars in videogames (and spent hours playing dress-up with the character if the game had that feature), I was constantly mocked for being so feminine, and so on and so on every since I was fifteen. And I still didn't realize I was trans until I was thirty (though I was openly identifying as gender queer for a couple years prior to that point). In hindsight, it's so absurdly obvious. Heck, most of my friends' reactions were along the lines of "well, duh" and "I was wondering when you were going to come out" and "oh, that makes so much sense." But, it isn't obvious, it isn't easy to see or understand, and it isn't easy to accept. By the way, if you (or anyone else) wants to ask me any questions about my experiences, feel free to PM me. I'm always interested in talking to people about such things, because without such discussions, understanding can't happen. My narrative is not the stereotypical one. /walloftext

    Okay, so, I think the key to ending this is the Night 5 kill attempt. There are two possibilities on who did the kill attempt - Alvron could have done it if Elbereth lied to us about his action in an attempt to prolong the game. If Elbereth didn't lie, then the last (I hope) Ghostblood had to have done it. I know I didn't do it and I'm not going to bother posting a defense of myself (I feel my actions afterward, especially the fact that the Ghostbloods attacked me Night 6 is defense enough). I know that Zas didn't do it. I scanned him with an Emotion Bracelet that night and he took no actions. I have tons of reasons to trust Twei, especially her protecting me on Night 6. It could have been a sort of WGG, but I highly doubt it. Kynedath could have done it if he was faking his inactivity or returned before the night ended. I don't know when he came back from being inactive, but it was either just before or just after orders had to be in for that night. It's a very interesting time for him to return and makes it a real possibility that it was him. I have no knowledge of anything that would have prevented Macen from performing that kill. I have no knowledge of anything that would have prevented Wilson from performing that kill. However, her giving a Shardblade to Zas is of note. Stink's role action that night was redirected. However, Stink has declared he is a Spy. That means if he was dual-roled, there is a chance he performed two role actions and the Spy one was redirected. But, on top of that 50% chance, I successfully protected him from a Ghostblood kill. While that could have been a WGG, the more maybes, the less of a chance that it was him. I feel that the only possible way for Zas to be evil is if Elbereth lied to us about scanning Alvron (meaning Alvron performed that kill, not the other Ghostblood, so someone doing nothing wouldn't mean they're clean). So, my suspicion list is currently: Most likely Ghostblood: Kynedath Could be Ghostblood: Wilson, Macen Could only be Ghostblood if something happened that I don't think happened: Zas, Stink Completely trust as Noble: Twei, Nyali How do other people feel?

    I think an important distinction to consider here is if Feruchemical healing brings you closer to your ideal self, or closer to an external ideal human. Meaning, if you've had allergies your entire life and you're used to having those allergies and expect to have them, would tapping healing reduce their effects? I don't think Stormlight healing would, which definitely works in the Spiritual and Cognitive realms, making your body more like you think it should be. (Personal musings on the topic, feel free to ignore -)

    Totally fair. Honestly, I never connected the meanings of the two words until I actually looked it up after making that post. You're right that the words are related - they definitely share the same roots, and dominion can have connotations of taking dominion of land that wasn't yours, or ruling your land, which is a form of domination over your subjects. But, the connotations and feel of the words are totally different to me. I've seen some people consider Devotion and Dominion to be opposites - one being helping others and the other being controlling others. I don't see it that way - I see Devotion as dedication to the people and Dominion as dedication to the land. I see the Dor, the mixing of the two Shards, as the power/Intent of Nationalism or Patriotism. While I can guess, I don't actually know much about how Brandon is using the word Dominion. But, my understanding is that each land has its own form-based magic, and conquering another land doesn't make your country's magic stronger. I do wonder though what would happen if one of the nations of Sel was completely dominated and conquered by another - once the people of Sel saw the land as now belonging to the conquering nation, would the people born in the conquered nation start being able to channel the powers of the conquering nation and not their old powers? Would they mix? Would the land the powers are bound to not change based on conquest (ie: are the nations divided the way they are because of the magic's geographical divisions, or are the magical geographical divisions where they are because of the way the land was divided between nations)?

    I would expect both Wilson and Zas to be or neither. I'm having a hard time seeing only one as Ghostblood. I don't think there would be six starting Ghostbloods in a 28 person game, but I don't know your standard distributions here, and the crazy number of vig powers and bulletproofs changes things in weird ways as far as balance goes, so I guess anything is possible. But, it could one of them running a long-game ploy to make us not suspect them...

    Oh, right, Sheep was 17th. Because I can't redirect Shardic powers. EDIT: If I could, I'd just make him shatter himself. EDIT2: Huh, why are there rules for what happens when Odium is Shattered? It's impossible to redirect Shardics, so the only way that'd happen is if Odium decided to commit suicide.

    Thanks for your post! I think you're probably right, that I was seeing Adolin's prior relationships more through the eyes of others than from his own perspective. I think how hard he tries to be the person everyone else expects/wants him to be is key to his character, He's so good at pretending to be the person everyone wants him to be that he doesn't know what to do when he gets close to someone and can't really pretend anymore, so he acts awkward and then things fall apart. And then he starts over with someone else, where it's easy to pretend again, putting back on the mask of the perfect prince. I think that's a fairer assessment than what I had said before. Just to be clear though, I didn't mean to say that I thought Adolin is a womanizer, or that he doesn't care about other people's feelings, or anything like that. I meant that he doesn't know what to do in relationships, and as a result, he acts in ways that are perceived by the women he's with as slighting them (ignoring them or being nice to other women or giving insensitive gifts). I think the only time he breaks up with the woman instead of the other way around is with Danlan, where he doesn't feel comfortable around her (I think it was stuff she had said).

    But they do affect time. They're just internal, not external. They let you see into your own past or future, which is definitely a "temporal" effect, in my opinion. EDIT: To me, it's like saying that Iron and Steel don't belong with Pewter and Tin because they don't move objects, or that Copper and Bronze don't belong with Zinc and Brass because they involve Investiture usage, not the mind.

    I... really don't know what you do for a living, but that seems extremely odd for a boss to do in a professional setting. I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm saying your boss sounds weird o.O I, on the other hand, have a seven month old infant. Baby Shallan's poop is often a topic of conversation around the house, given how much it dominates our lives.

    Sure, why not. I'll sign up as Eryn, a Cairhienin "Maiden of the Sword." She's staying at the village's inn after getting separated from her "society" while traveling and then getting lost in the woods. It's hard to follow in the footsteps of the Aiel when you have no sense of direction!
