  1. Just to note, I was slightly misleading. I received Burnt's Half-shard when she died. The one from Zas went to me last night, vanished due to being a duplicate, and then Burnt's half-shard was broken by the Shardblade. This doesn't really change anything. At first, the misleading was to get whomever gave me the half-shard to say who they were because I thought it would clear them even if it didn't technically save me. After all, it was unlikely they knew I was Burnt's heir (I'm pretty sure she only told me in our direct PM), so there really wasn't a difference from them doing it deliberately. But, it quickly became clear that no one gave it to me intentionally and it was just random chance, so this little misdirection is totally pointless. I do think this means there are no half-shards left in the game though? Or am I missing one? EDIT: And Wilson, when I said I suspected you off and on all game, I wasn't really counting DC's lies. Various other things have made me suspect you all game, and I've told you like, nearly every time about it. And then you convinced me I was wrong. Well, I think at this point, it's one time too many? I really don't see how it could be anyone but you and Twei, and Twei hasn't outright lied to me about her actions before like you did when you juggled the Shardblade (which did wind up back with you, though the path it took makes it very unlikely that was anything but happenstance).
  2. I'm messing around with a new idea for what should probably be an LG. Could I get on the LG list, please? My idea is a little complex right now and not fully formed, but by the time my turn comes around, I should have something ready. I've discarded like, three previous versions of the idea for being unworkably complex, but this one seems like it could work. The basic idea is for a game that's more RPG than normal, with all roles, powers, and alignments hidden and no role/alignment reveal on death. Players will either belong to an open faction, a hidden faction, or be independent. Open factions will be like eliminator teams - they know each other, have a doc in which to collaborate, and share a goal. Hidden factions will be like towns - they all have the same goal but don't know who each other are and cannot communicate with each other outside of other means. Everyone has their own goals, usually three, that they need accomplished at the end of the game to win. Some of these will be state-based (can swap between successful and unmet), and some of those will start already succeeded (example: "end the game Alive"). Members of factions always have the common faction goal as one of their goals. The game ends when either one faction achieves their faction goal, or three (or more) Independents have achieved all of their goals. It is entirely possible for no one to win because a faction goal was reached with no one in the faction having their other goals ready, but faction members can subtly sabotage their own faction goal to slow it down so they can finish their other goals. Most players can still win despite dying if their remaining goals can be accomplished by others, and some goals may even involve dying in a specific way. The game will be played across five worlds and feature world PMs as the primary form of communication outside of the main game thread (which will represent the Cognitive Realm). Roles will be based on various Sanderson characters, but the game will be set in an alternate timeline where powers, goals, factions, chronology, and history can all differ from canon. There will be common powers listed publicly that characters may or may not have access to, and each character can have special abilities beyond those. Items also exist, which work identically to other abilities, except they're tradeable. Here's a link to my working doc for the game design. It contains no spoilers for the game (roles are in a separate doc), but it does contain spoilers for most Cosmere novels (as will the game.) Here are two sample characters that will not be in the game (or at least, not with these character sheets). Spoilers for Warbreaker in both:
  3. Yes. I'm working off two different sets of logic here, two things that I think must both be true (Alvron's heir is the last Ghostblood, and the last Ghostblood tried to kill me last night), and though you aren't cleared by one, you definitely are by the other. Also, on another point of logic, I'd like to point out that the Ghostbloods haven't tried to kill in a while. Wilson has been setting up her Spanreed, leaving the defensive spot open so she can use her Plate, and attacking with her Shardblade, leaving no room for a role ability.
  4. Twei - maybe you missed it, but I scanned Zas and he did nothing last night. Yet, an attack hit me, either because Wilson attacked me or you redirected her (or another soulcaster, but see my logic above for why no one else could have done it). For it to be Zas, Macen, Zas, AND I would have to be lying. (EDIT: Oops, somehow misread your post as talking about clearing Zas, not Macen. Still, Macen correctly points out that two people would have to be lying for Macen to not be cleared.) Unless someone successfully disputes my logic, I'm thinking Kynedath even though it means that Kyne's Plate regenerates and, if we don't kill him now but want to later, it'll take another THREE lynches in a row. Wilson has plate, and has for the entire game. She didn't start with it though, she says someone gave it to her, which is weirdly suspicious (yet possible) for a non-Ghostblood. I've suspected her off and on for a while, but recently she's been doing some trust-inspiring things. Twei, on the other hand, has done trust-inspiring things all game. Now, here's a fun piece of logic. Alvron died on Night 9. This means that, at the end of Night 9, his heir would have obtained his Painrial. However, if his heir already had a defensive item, his heir could choose to keep their old defensive item. This sends the Painrial to his heir, or someone random if their heir is dead. One can assume their heir would be Alvron or a random villager, so in either case, someone random would have gotten it. That would be obtained at the end of the turn (Day 10), and they would get to choose to keep it or not during Night 10. On Day 10, Zas obtained the Painrial, which he kept instead of his Half-shard. His Half-shard then went to HIS heir, or a random player, which they would obtain at the end of the following turn, which was Night 10. On Night 10, I obtained a Half-shard, which was immediately used to save my life. Zas, am I your heir (or is your heir dead)? Following the above logic, I conclude that the last Ghostblood (who was Alvron's heir) had another defensive item, which was NOT a Painrial (if you get a second of the same item, instead of one passing on to your heir or a random player, the duplicate is destroyed and removed from the game. It's how I know the Soulcaster I passed up was removed from the game). What non-Painrial defensive items remain in the game? I only know of Kynedath and Wilson's Shardplate. I don't think there are any half-shards left. Is there a third suit of Shardplate, or was it destroyed due to duplication? In any event, this strengthens my belief that it's Wilson, even though yes, I know she has Shardplate and lynching her does practically nothing. She's actually a full Shardbearer, so if I'm right that it's her and not Twei, this will take a while. I can go dig up things Twei has done that make me want to trust her over Wilson. But, here's something to consider - is it possible for Twei to have had Shardplate or a Half-shard on Night 9? (EDIT2: Also, Kyne, I forget if you've said or not - is that a suit of Plate you started with, or is that the one that DC had? Telling the truth either way does NOT implicate you or anything, we've already established that it can't be you. I'm just trying to track the non-Painrial defensive items.)
  5. Zas did nothing last night. I know this from an EB. If we only have one eliminator left and Kynedath didn't try to kill me as a villager, then we're back to "it had to be either the person with the Shardblade who isn't me, or someone with a Soulcaster." That means, Macen is in the clear because he used a Pain Knife. Zas is cleared because of my EB. That leaves Wilson, who used the Shardblade and claims redirection, Twei who has had a Soulcaster from the start but who has been using it in a very village sort of way all game, Kynedath who I actually believe couldn't have a Soulcaster after some clarifications from Maill about items, Stink who can't have it either because Grandbow... So, Alvron's Soulcaster went to me. I chose not to take it. That sends it to my heir, Twei. Twei already had a Soulcaster, so the Soulcaster that Alvron had gets removed from the game. This leaves Twei's caster and potentially another. But, no one can have that other caster unless I'm mistaken. Stink had a Grandbow, and no one has died with a Caster since then other than Alvron, and we know where his caster went. Similarly, Kynedath was scanned and had no items other than his plate since then. Macen has a Pain Knife. Zas didn't do anything last night. Doesn't that mean it had to be either Wilson or Twei who tried to kill me? Can someone find fault in my logic? Please?
  6. I assumed he took the rock out of his pocket, and it had been a random rock that he'd been using all book to write on the walls. It surprised Shallan because she didn't know of any reason Renarian would have for keeping a rock in his pocket.
  7. Technically, isn't evil by Nightblood's metric. Isn't evil, to him, "someone who would wield him for evil purposes?" It'd be kinda hard for ^ to do that, given the lack of hands.
  8. Oh, I like the idea of coppertium acting like a coppercloud, except for temporal effects. That would make it a great counter against Atium, like AoE Electrum (useful for messing with Atium and little else). What about Aluminatium doing the same thing, except for burning metals? Project a cloud inside of which no one else can burn their reserves? I really like your ideas for Steel and Iron too - your Steel's like, blue line atium.
  9. I think Alvron's Soulcaster was randomly allocated since I couldn't hold it, if I'm understanding the rules right. Were you checked before or after that point? EDIT: Yes, if I'm understanding the rules right and items that can't be held are randomly allocated, Alv's soulcater was randomly allocated AFTER Kyne was scanned by Stink.
  10. As I said earlier in this thread, after punching the other ten, he can totally go Beyond to punch the last four. Remember that four are dead, not three, because Threnody.
  11. I want to know what actions Zas actually successfully performed, or at least which ones he tried to perform. Also, who passed me their halfshard, saving my life? And I attacked you, Kyne. If you're surprised, I don't know what even. EDIT: Oh, and to get back to the whole logicing out who's the last eliminator thing, someone tried to kill me last night. It was either the person with the Shardblade, or it was someone with a Soulcaster who redirected the Shardblade. Macen claims to have painknifed, and Zas claims to have performed actions. I want to know if Macen actually did painknife Zas, which is why I'm asking about what actions Zas took. If Zas did try to take actions and they failed, then we know that Macen couldn't have tried to kill me. Stink used to have a Grandbow, but he didn't try to use it last night. Could he have gotten a Soulcaster since then? Only if he has Alvron's. The Soulcaster wasn't Twei, Wilson, or Zas. I know one of them has the second blade, one has the second soulcaster (I'm looking for the third) and one has neither of those items. Kyne could have done the Soulcasting. Macen could have lied about painknifing and done the soulcasting instead. Though, if Kynedath is a villager, he could have tried to kill me. I can't see any other villagers trying that at this point. If you did try to kill me, Kyne, please say something? You're still my default target for the lynch if we can't logic out who the last Ghostblood is by the attack against me. So, until I find someone better, Kynedath. Just to confirm though, there WERE three soulcasters in this game, right? Or were there only two?
  12. As long as it isn't one of those twist games where there are no eliminators and you are just messing with your players until they all die D:(I played in a game like that on another forum. The GM was trolling us. It wasn't the worst trolling either - there was one with four village power roles: a cop (scans alignment), a naïve cop (scans alignment but always gets Villager), a paranoid cop (scans alignment, but always gets mafia), and an insane cop (scans alignment, but gets mafia if they target a villager and villager of they target a mafia), all of whom were told they were normal cops, of course. Hilarity ensued.)
  13. We really like our WoBs around here. They're very WoBbly.
  14. Well, I did take out two of the three eliminators we've killed so far, been attacked once so far by the eliminators, and been trying to logic out who the last one is pretty constantly and openly sharing my logic, information, and evidence, so if I'm an eliminator, I must be playing a really, really, really long long-game. I'm only trying to get you killed because I only see three possibilities on who it could be, and you are one of them. And now that I know the real armor rules, we have to lynch you tomorrow if we ever want to since your armor regenerates so freakishly fast. It'll be back after the next day cycle. You also can't be pain knifed in that armor, so if we kill someone else and they're innocent, and we suspect it's you, we can't stop you from performing a kill, but if we kill you and we're wrong, we can pain knife our next guess. Unless they also have plate... plate is so OP But yeah, honestly, someone give a better suggestion? My last analysis post summed up everything I think and know at this point.
  15. As long as Odium is alive, we lose two people per day, minus successful Roleblocks/defends. Your strategy is up to you, but in an open role game like this, minimizing village kills is the key to victory. You can also just Roleblock Alv every night. My method of Roleblocking is a little limited though.
  16. Okay, okay, whomever was Odium's champion shouldn't be any longer. If you lynch him tomorrow, he'll be able to reinvest before dying unless Roleblocked again. Odium is more important to kill first. The 17th Shard kills one person per night and 3-4 kills are required to stop the kills. Odium kills one person per night, removes a village power role from the game, and only takes one kill to remove (if uninvested, which Dominion can force).
  17. ... seriously? Does that even make sense anymore if he had only the one plate? How could he have gotten a second one? Nothing else in this game prevents a lynch, and there are no secret roles or rules, so no secret items either. (Confirmed multiple times by the GM.) So, we attempted to lynch him on days 6, 7, 9, and 10. I thought Plate took five cycles to regenerate, not five turns, but I just checked the rules, and it's turns, not cycles. Still, how does the plate work? I thought hitting it on day seven would reset the regeneration of the day six hit. There haven't been five consecutive turns in which Kyne wasn't attacked. If each hit regenerates separately, then this makes sense, but holy crap that's powerful. That means someone had to be lynched three days in a row in order for them to die...
