  1. When it puts everything in a single spoiler tag, removing the others and deleting anything in a nested tag, it's a pain to fix, and you can't just put the new tags back in because you have to remove everything else from the outer spoiler first. That means selecting everything (and ctrl-A doesn't work anymore on this forum), cutting it, hoping your BBCode copies right, deleting the outer spoiler box (because you can't move the cursor before or after it when the entire post is in a single spoiler or quote tag due to another bug), and then pasting it back and putting the spoiler tags back, and then going through and finding if anything was deleted in the process (nested spoilers sometimes are). It's kinda a mess to make heavily formatted posts in the new editor... It was in the old graphical one too which had different but similar problems, but you could go into pure BBCode mode which didn't have those problems.
  2. Spoiler tags are often not interpreted correctly in my experience, and once you post, you can't get it back in BBCode view when editing.
  3. That's really unfortunate giving how glitchy it is... I've had to fight with it almost every time I posted last night. It doesn't always glitch up, but I'm finding that once it does glitch on a thread, it's going to keep glitching on that thread. There are small glitches too, like cursor jumping, especially when using emoticons. I miss the old site's post features - I would almost always edit in pure BBCode so I knew exactly what I was posting, and so I could copy the contents of a post with tons of formatting off to another text editor in case something glitched during the post. Here, I can't because the formatting doesn't copy right, defeating the purpose of copying off the contents...
  4. On the new site, is it possible to edit the BBCode directly? The graphical editor is VERY glitchy, especially when you include Spoiler tags in PMs. Last time I tried, it looked fine until I sent it, and then in the sent message, the entire message was in the spoiler tag, not just the bit I had marked with spoiler & /spoiler. I couldn't move the bits that weren't supposed to be in the tag outside of the tag because the cursor refused to go before OR after the spoiler box, only inside of it. It took me quite a while to get it to look right, only to have the issue happen again. I think I managed to get it to work, finally, but if I could edit the BBCode directly, I wouldn't have this problem. I can make sure the spoiler tags are in the right spot. Is there a way? I'm kinda getting sick of the new visual editor's quirks. The old one had quirks too, but if anything didn't post right, I could go back and edit the BBCode directly, and I can't seem to anymore.
  5. This happens all the time to me. I always use the mobile version - if I'm on a PC, after launching the website I shrink the window to enter Mobile mode because I like the compactness of it. But, when using a different tab of the same browser window for something else, I'll make it bigger again, so I'm constantly going in and out of mobile mode while posting. If I go to make a post with a quote in it, but then decide not to make the post and cancel it, the post saves and reloads the next time I try to comment. If I click a "quote" button, it'll open the post box with the old quote AND message in it, and the new quote will not be added. If I click the quote button with a reply window open already, it doesn't do anything. No appending, no clearing. If I delete the entire message, write a new one, post the new one, and then click quote/reply again, the quote comes back like a zombie quote. This happens even if I walk away from the computer and come back days later. The only way I've found to get rid of having to delete the post every single time is to simply stop replying to that thread. This doesn't trigger every time, but when it does, it's really irritating. Also on the subject of quotes and annoying, there are times when I can't enter anything before or after a quote. In order to do so, I have to copy/delete the quote, put some text in, and paste back in the quote in the right spot. The cursor just won't go before the quote box or after it sometimes. Spoiler tags have the same problem, usually more often than quotes.
  6. I'm being purposefully vague, banking on most other people being too lazy to figure out how to decode your message. So, you first, us next?
  7. Are you okay? As far as I'm concerned, everything that has been said here has all been totally within the bounds of SE, and I don't consider anything said in a Mafia game to have any bearing on the person saying it out of game. Meaning, you're supposed to be a manipulative jerk in a Mafia game - no hard feelings or it doesn't really work. I guess I'm not really one to talk given my ragequit last game when under a lot of external stress, but I just wanted to say - no hard feelings from here at least.
  8. I would also like to remind any coinshots that happen to be out there that Aman claimed his faction has no Lurchers on N0. EDIT: Oh, and Aman (assuming you survive tonight) or whatever other Seekers are out there - the person I most suspect of being Spiked (other than Aman) is Straw. Straw claims to be a non-allomancer, which is a great role claim for the Inquisitor in my opinion. Straw has allegedly not even opened his faction's document, or allegedly hadn't earlier in the game. But, he's been voting and posting, but not TOO much. He's been visible in the thread a bunch before the accusation that he hasn't been into his faction's doc came. In my opinion, he's doing just the right level of lurking for being a Spiked. If he's active in the game, but not in the thread and not in his faction's doc, then maybe all his game time is spent in the Spiked doc? In any case, might be a good person to check out?
  9. Yeah, but it was missing at least one letter and didn't decrypt right. I still don't get how this is secure - anyone can enter my encoded message and decrypt my key by using your message as the key. They could then decrypt your new message with that key to read it. That's really why I was okay with doing this - I haven't shared anything that other people can't figure out trivially. I think Elodin was trying to trick people into using unsecure methods to share information. EDIT: Also, on another note, I think we should kill Aman regardless of whether he's spiked or not. Either he's spiked and killing him is a good thing for all of us, or he's not but he's shown to be willing to lie about our common enemy in order to trick us into helping his house's agenda. Let's repay that underhandedness by following through with what we said - he lies, we lynch (or vig). EDIT2: Also, LG21 shows that you don't ever keep the clearly sketchy Aman alive. Seriously. Don't. EDIT3: Aha! I figured out how to decrypt the message, Maill. Anyone can do it. I didn't even use my pad to decrypt it. Elodin tricked you. Your idea is solid and I like it, but it's also public knowledge now...
  10. Thank you.
  11. Ren, if someone is targeted by two instances of flared steel and burned/flared iron, what happens? Does the iron protect from all kill attempts, or just one?
  12. Well, I think it's clear that Aman is spiked. He's likely the inquisitor. He probably has a way to survive a kill tonight.
  13. Maill - I screwed up the cipher. I dropped a few letters somehow and it doesn't decode right. Here, let's try again? Jjg st nhig vsr js Onrwdv. Rham zwqdhus Ammogam?
  14. Huh? How is trying to lynch Orlok, who a claimed Seeker claims is a Spiked, not pursuing the Spiked with the lynch?
  15. Aman claimed no lurcher in faction on night zero.
  16. Okay, I really hate doing this because Penrod is hurting right now, but if Orlok really is spiked, gotta cut out the cancer asap. Can always send a coinshot after Aman - his faction doesn't have a Lurcher, and Penrod does. Or, we can just lynch Aman next turn. So... [ Aman ] and [ Orlok ]
  17. Oh, hey, I actually missed your note about Orlok. I blame baby wrangling being super distracting. How do people feel about this assertion? Do we kill Orlok first, check if he's spiked, and THEN take out Aman if he was lying?
  18. Aman, in my case, I just don't trust you. You are a good player, vocal, and able to command the town to listen to you. You are a prime candidate for being Spiked, you are not in my faction and strong players not in my faction are a threat, and I think your house is particularly strong right now. If you don't feel that any of those are valid reasons for a vote, well, uhh, sorry?
  19. Hmm, I'm honestly curious if I have the message right, so.... if it's not cheating, might as well: Rov tn xlmf voizz. rjYfur sbqwbzg Ljnayeq? Did I do that right? I don't really get how this works. Anyone can figure out my OTP by reversing the process and read the secret message I sent to you.
  20. Why? Are you trying to focus down one house first? =\ I think I'll keep my vote on you.
  21. Yeah, but your message is decryptable without giving you any information just from word length analysis. I've pretty much gotten it, and all I have to say is, no, I don't want any vanilla Cookies. Thanks for asking though.
  22. No. Stop trying to steal access to other people's docs. I know people can crack Bugsy's doc from what he posted, but I seriously hope no one actually tries to do that. I may not be in his faction, but that doesn't mean I condone such blatant cheating. Is trying to gain access to a doc you aren't supposed to have access to against the SE rules? 'cause it really should be. EDIT: Oh, I just realized that I misunderstood what you meant. You didn't mean for me to use my faction doc title to encrypt, you meant to use a random otp. So, you weren't fishing for access to my faction's doc, but you WERE trying to circumvent the "no PMs" policy of this game. If I did that, we would be PMing, even if we weren't using the system built into the forum. I consider that also cheating and will not do it. Sorry. From last night, how many soothers changed votes? There was something about someone ninjachanging a vote by editing an old post to include a vote that wasn't there before (is THAT against the rules?), unless I misunderstood. Does that mean there was only one soother vote change, not two? I think you're thinking of yesterday, when she did vote for him. EDIT2: Oh, and just in case I get caught up in 4th of July stuff and forget to post (we're taking baby Shallan to see fireworks for the first time ^.^), [ Aman ]. Just continuing my vote from Day 1 - I'll change it to someone I think is Spiked later, if I get a chance to log in before the end of the day.
  23. I didn't mean it was a penalization, I meant it was a discouragement/prevention. I was just speaking broadly about such posting/voting restrictions. But, yeah, it's a matter of opinion. Personally, I love what the voting and posting rewards have done so far in LG23 - it's a super active game so far, and I feel that's in a large part because people are given bonuses for posting and voting. Telling people they can't vote just stifles discussion. *shrug* Your game, obviously, so go with what you'd enjoy
  24. (I'm having a lot of trouble quoting specific parts of your post, by the way. It's all weird.) Regarding Ghosts, I personally feel that discouraging, penalizing, or preventing posting and/or voting takes away from the game rather than adding to it. It's hard enough to get some people to vote or post as is, and giving people incentive to not post/vote who normally don't do it much anyway just gives them an excuse not to. I think giving bonuses for posting is better to the overall game than penalties for posting. And then you get into the complicated issue of, how many times can they edit a previous post to add more info? At what point are they not allowed to edit a previous post to append more to the end of it? Also, the first three actions fail - is that per game or per cycle? "Wizards Manual: Turn a random nonspecialist into a specialist along with any other roles they might have. When a nonspecialist is passed this, they will always have the option of giving it away and losing their specialty. If it is passed to a specialist it is destroyed or given to their partner. " I don't quite understand this one. Are you saying you pick a target to use it on and that person gains a specialty, but if they wish, they can then give up that specialty they were just given to use it on someone else. And, if a specialist is ever targeted with it, the item is destroyed to no effect. Is that right? Also, who chooses the specialty - the one using it, the one gaining the specialty, or RNGesus? And can you use it on yourself? And what tier does the person become? Personally, I think the racial powers would be more interesting if people didn't choose their race, or if they chose their race in private. Having that be public knowledge seems less fun than it being secret knowledge. But that's a matter of personal preference! Overall though, this looks like a fun game!
  25. You should. It's fascinating.
