  1. I'm going with Magestar for reasons stated yesterday. Team Dinosaur, you don't have to follow suit. Follow your own path. I don't think I'll be around much longer to guide you in any case. Someone out there really doesn't like dinosaurs.
  2. Dinosaurs don't like poison. Except Dilophosaurs, I guess. And Compsognathus. But still! Rawr!
  3. Okay, so Magestar and Elenion. That was just a really uncool thing to do. And dinosaurs don't like things that aren't cool. Rawr!
  4. Please keep in mind that copying text exactly from GM PMs is strictly against the general rules.
  5. I don't really want to become a large voting bloc, despite being, you know, Team Dinosaur. There are small dinosaurs too! I guess Con can join though, if the other dinosaurs are okay with it? (EDIT: Also, members of Team Dinosaur don't HAVE to all vote for the same person. The point was non-aggression, not joint strikes. That said, we COULD hunt like a pack of velociraptors, it'll just make the other people more likely to go for us, which is bad, and not what I'm going for.) So, Alv, you are saying that you can only attack every other round (though you don't say your strength), and you can't be targeted every other round, but you're vulnerable between. So, you can be attacked and lynched tonight, but you couldn't be tomorrow. That makes you totally not a big threat, imo. There are much scarier pokemon out there. Unless you have a high str or are Super Effective against the base types, you're doing low damage. The number of dead pokemon is consistent with what I'd expect. It was actually pretty average, if not low, if you look at the probabilities. 18 normal pokemon means 6 of each. Each of those 6 has a 6 in 22 chance of instakilling, and six attempts with a 6/22 chance means 16^6/22^6 =14% chance of none of a base type dying, for each base type. So, 86% chance of at least one dying. This turn, there's a 79% chance of at least one pokemon dying, independent for each of the three types. About a 50% chance of at least one dying from each again. This is going to be a fast game, btw. On average, the game will last until Cycle 5, when everyone dies, because 5 HP. Though, there could be unknowns with extra health and there are probably people who are being ignored, so at Cycle 5, we'll be down to the people least targeted or with the strongest pokemon. I expect the game to end before Cycle 7.
  6. I think someone who was not Orlok could have made Elenion attack himself. Unless his PM explicitly stated that Orlok did the reflecting, that makes much more sense to me. That implies that neither Orlok nor Elenion are lying, Elenion is just making an assumption, which looks to be a totally reasonable one, but still an assumption. Of course, one of them could easily be lying, but that just doesn't make sense to me at this point in the game.
  7. Keep in mind there are multiples of the basics. You seem to have missed that in the rules. That tells me you have an Unknown Pokemon. My working theory is that one (or more) of the unknowns is an eliminator trying to do something nefarious. So, Magestar. Rawr! I suspect Alvron has an Unknown that let him survive the lynch, but if that was it's only power, it seems like it might be nothing to really be worried about now that it's been used.
  8. Team Dinosaur formally welcomes Somebody to Team Dinosaur. That Dinosaur is definitely Somebody! You're also on the team, Bulbasaur. Because your name has an appropriate "saur" at the end. (Feel free to still submit a Dinosaur Resume though!) Sincerely, Nyasaur of Team Dinosaur Team Dinosaur's Rules Rawr! Rawr!! Do not attack other members of Team Dinosaur, or else, RAWR!!!
  9. Okay! Anyone on Team Dinosaur, btw, cannot be in another alliance. That's not how dinosaurs do it, you know?
  10. Someone seems to be killing people. If I had to guess who would do that, I'd guess Nobody (Zas).
  11. We rise as they fall and they break and they make their mistakes anyway and if there's a reason I'm still alive when everyone who trusts me has died, I'm willing to wait for it. (Sorry for the delay there - I wanted to wait to post that until AFTER LG23 finished) Question for Stink - Which way do you read the chart? If my Charmander attacks someone else's Squirtle, is it Super Effective or Not Effective?
  12. Elbereth had this whole plan laid out, and Sart was mean and Ruined it. I thought you guys were going to murder me when it came out that I was Cett. I had this whole post ready where I was going to reveal who all three Coinshots were, and then imply that there was a fourth who was Spiked, when really there were only three and it was one of the three. Also, that was me being totally sardonic when I was talking about how a Zinc Spike would be useless to the Spiked and Ren would only give them one if he wanted them to have a useless Spike (I was a Mistborn spiked with Zinc). I'll post the RP I wrote of my Spiking on a bit when I'm awake and on a real computer. (see below) And Ren - thanks so much for the great game! It was really fun. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Earlier... Shara sat in her room in the tiny clear space in the very center, the eye of the storm of paper and maps that covered every other surface. Plans tumbled about in her head as she looked at the chart of names on the far wall with lines of twine of various colors connecting people and their houses. Statements written on scraps of paper were tied to the strings, evidence to support each theory. As she stared, a plan became to fall into place, turning her mouth up into a grin. "They think I'm in Penrod," she said to herself, pointing at a scrap on the wall that simply read "HOUSE LEKAL." A line of dark red - a mark of certainty - connected that scrap to one that read "RIMA." The line was strung heavy with evidence. "I think it's time to play up that little misunderstanding. I never thought speaking out against Kipper would work so well to my advantage - I just wanted to confuse the field a bit, keep them guessing. Apparently, I succeeded." Fondly, she looked at a small chart off to the side, a list of names, titles, and professions - the other members of House Cett's secret inner circle. "Hang in there, everyone. I'll find a way to take the city in the name of Lord Cett. We'll come out of this mess on top, and from there, we'll make the world a better place. Well, a better place for us and our families at least, and family is what counts in this sorry world." She smiled again, thinking of what was to come. "You know, I've never been a spy before! This is exciting!" "I am glad you think so, Shara," said a voice from behind her. A shadowy figure sat in a corner of the room, hidden by stacks of books and notes. He (or she?) must have been there the whole time! She squeaked, her hand moving to grab a vial of metals at her belt. The belt that she wasn't wearing, the one that she had put next to her bed in case she was attacked in the middle of the night. The belt that was, right now, out of reach. Careless! She cursed at herself - why did she need to get up in the middle of the night to go over her plans? Why couldn't she just have waited until morning, or at the very least downed a vial if she was going to be up for any length of time? She considered diving for the belt, or for her stash in the closet by the door. But, instead, she calmed down, releasing the breath she had been holding. It's all okay, she told herself, it's just a nighttime visitor, no one to be scared of. Worry evaporated under an intense peace that filled her mind. "Do not be afraid, child. I am just here to help you. Be at peace." The figure stood up and pushed back the hood of the heavy cloak he had been wearing, revealing a face pierced with a spike through each eye. The face of an Inquisitor. She paled, but said nothing. I wonder what they've been doing since the Lord Ruler's gone, she wondered idly. She smiled at the Inquisitor, and she finally realized what was happening. He was using emotional Allomancy on her! Her mind tried to form a plan, some kind of escape from the room - an Inquisitor coming like this did not bode well, but she just couldn't care enough to more. She felt nothing but peace and laziness, and sitting on the floor was so much more appealing than running for her life. "You said you wanted to be a spy, did you not? I give you a chance for a far more exciting target. Your own House." He walked to her then and knelt down. "Personally, I want to see how well you do, child. This should prove... fruitful." He took something from inside his cloak - no - from inside his body! Something stuck through his chest. She saw a flash of bronze as horror filled her, the peace fleeing as if it had never been there. As she frantically thrust herself upward, the bronze weapon in his hand struck her between the ribs. It was a spike. A spike of pure bronze. She stopped, certain she was dead, but no - that wasn't it. This wasn't a weapon. This was... A voice spoke in your head, "Ah, good, another one. You will be useful." At the sound, she felt a momentary chill deep within her, but it was quickly replaced by joy. The Inquisitor beckoned to her. "Come, there are some people you should meet. Your new family, you could say. And be careful if you burn Zinc - you'll find your ability to Riot has strengthened considerably, and it would not do to be discovered." The two left her room, notes written on scraps of paper swirling in the wake of their passing.
  13. A coinshot and two Mistborn will do that. Not to mention the copper spiked smoker (pure luck, that was). Plus, one of your seekers (Phatt) has been AFK for most of the game... At least, my math says he's a Seeker, never claimed. I had Con and Phatt and Zas marked as being non-allo, lurcher, and seeker in some order, and Phatt's the only one whose role we don't know now. Not that it matters at this point, unless someone is a secret Mistborn with like, every metal ever. I wasn't spiked when I suggested SD kill the other Seeker, btw. I just had no idea, and neither did he.
  14. Close to? I'm pretty sure we're past that point. Oh, wait, you said Penrod. I think you meant a different house... [ Bugsy ]
  15. Nya smiled as she listened to the roaring and growling coming through her headphones. It was Deathosaurus WRECKS, her favorite local Death Metal band. They weren't very popular with the local music scene, but she didn't care if they couldn't carry a tune, that was the whole point! And how could she not love songs with names like "TERRORDACTYL in my SOUL?" For her, it was like music had evolved into something primal and perfect, like the dinosaurs themselves. Growling along with the music, she reached into her backpack and pulled out her phone and a Pokemon Trainer cap. A dinosaur (the one from the deathosaurus wrecks album cover) was drawn in marker on the front of the hat - she didn't care if it wasn't canon, it was a dinosaur. She loved Pokemon almost as much as she loved dinosaurs - pokemon were kind of like dinosaurs, after all, except you could tame them and make them do your bidding. She always imagined what the world would be like if that stupid comet never hit the Earth, and the world of her fondest dreams was nearly identical to the world of the pokemon. Except, in her dream world, she could ride her dinosaurs, and sadly, there were no riding pokemon. When she would talk to her friends and family about what she loved most, dinosaurs and pokemon (she knew better than to talk about her choice of music), they used to say stupid things like "pokemon aren't real," as if she didn't know. Of course they weren't real, neither were the dinosaurs - not anymore, at least. In a way, the pokemon were more real now - she could see them on her phone, crawling around the bushes of her house, flying atop the shop that was her favorite pokestop, emerging from the shadows of the local Baptist church that was her gym of choice. She couldn't touch them, no, but she could see them there. And, if she gave someone her phone, she could have pictures taken with the pokemon, where it seemed that she was touching them. Lost in her thoughts, she nearly jumped when her phone vibrated. Quickly, she looked around with her phone, and there it was - a bulbasaur! She loved the lizard-like pokemon, for obvious reasons, and she was determined to catch this one this time. Her music began to rise to a crescendo of screamed roars as she readied her finger to flick her pokeball.
  16. When it comes to SE, I, for one, am an equal opportunity lyncher. After all, death doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints. Especially not around here
  17. Oh, haha, I failed to read your flavor text. Okay, sign me up. I won't find out otherwise Sign me up as Nya, a cheerful girl who likes dinosaurs and death metal.
  18. Wait, what? Care to explain? EDIT: To explain the situation to the non-Cett in the room: We in Cett have been using a PM because Straw was unable to use the doc. The PM is mostly silent, and my messages have been repeatedly ignored. Both Cloud and Bugsy were away the last few days when Straw was being voted on (I didn't vote because I had no idea what to do with the rest of Cett not responding and the only votes being on me and Straw, who I had been somewhat suspicious of anyway for stated reasons). I have been a little worried about Cloud because he failed to use his metals several times when it could have helped us. Bugsy too, but to a much lesser extent. Their silence combined by that made me mention in my last PM that I'm starting to be worried I'm the only unspiked left in Cett. They both responded to that message by apologizing for being away, but saying nothing else. And then Cloud votes for me here with no explanation or reasoning, despite the fact that there are more people in Penrod than both other houses combined. If someone in Cett dies today, it's guaranteed that either the Spiked or Penrod wins. If Cloud's going after me, well, the Spiked must have it pretty much in the bag to give up all pretense of trying to fight the faction war. That makes me think that Bugsy is clear and the Spiked in Cett is Cloud. Cloud has been juust active enough to send in orders and post, but just inactive enough to conveniently "forget" to send in orders when it really matters. He didn't burn his metal at times when it mattered, but did burn it when it didn't to prove he was telling the truth about what he could do. That leads me to think he was getting other vials some nights, which is why he couldn't use his claimed role more. I really don't want to do this, since it basically means I can't win, but I don't really have much of a choice at this point: [ Cloudjumper ] Maybe I can at least see if I can help take out a Spiked before we lose?
  19. To be clear, there are no eliminators, right? So who do you lynch, the person you like the least?
  20. I was at the time, but that was days ago and I'm not sure if it's still true. People suspected me largely because, as far as I recall, I was the person they'd want on their team if they were eliminators. I still think that's a terrible reason to be suspicious of someone, but I'll let other members of Cett comment on that if they'd like to. Now that we know who the Inquisitor is though, I would like to point out that I haven't been in a game with Dow before so there's little reason to think he'd want me specifically on his team. Elbereth was with me in LG20 where I did great (though we didn't really interact much that game), but she was also in LG21 where we were curb-stomped (I died Night 1 (though I got better), and I was pretty useless for the rest of the game). And she was in LG22 with me where I really screwed up and was kinda a total moron, so... yeah. We also have no idea if she had any input into who Dow spiked anyway. I'm going to be away all day (cyberpunk boffer LARP playtest!). I might be on tonight depending on the Shallan situation and whether or not I fall asleep right after she does.
  21. I'm not going to get into any of the other stuff to talk about right now, 'cause baby bedtime. But, plenty of time to just do this: [ Elbereth ].
  22. The thing that always struck me as funny was that the Diagram explicitly tells Mr. T not to trust the Death Rattles, they're just a distraction, so what does he do? Focuses on the Death Rattles
