Day 3 - Falling The man, fiddling with something in his hand, considered his options. He eyed potential targets, mulling it over, when suddenly something slammed into him from behind. Startled, he whirled around, only to find Odin, pushing him to the ground. "What are you -" he began, but Odin interrupted him by grabbing his arm. "Hey stop -" is all he managed. "My life to yours. My breath become yours!" Odin intoned, and wisps of... mist? poured out of him and onto the arm of the startled man, who tried to pull back but was held fast. The misty substance enveloped him and, as it did, new senses awoke within the man. He could sense life and auras and... and Odin now had neither. The hand fell away as Odin crumpled to the ground at his feet. "Now, what was that all about?" he wondered, shaking his head. Kneeling down, he noticed that Odin was not only dead, but his body was drained of all color. "Huh," he thought. Not to let an opportunity go to waste, he, of course, went through the man's pockets, but found nothing of worth. He lay what he found upon the ground and shuffled off, one item in particular unnerving him too much to stay near the body much longer. Lily had always been scared of heights. Well, not scared exactly, just… worried. You never knew what would happen standing there, atop a cliff or peering out the window of a tall building. Anything could happen, in fact. She never looked behind her, though, not when standing at the edge of a precipice. She knew giving into her fear was a weakness she could not afford. She would instead trust in the safety of her perch and watch the world go by. It could be peaceful, up high. Peaceful, but worrying. Tonight, she stood atop a spire overlooking a chasm, thinking of the news from the night prior. Someone had been shoved out a window many stories in the air. No body was found, but she could imagine what it must have been like to fall so far, the surprise at the attack, the fear of dying, the pain of hitting the ground... She could feel the darkness behind her, feel it like it was real, like it had substance. She was almost killed earlier in the day - of that, she was certain. She felt like that darkness she felt behind her was her death, stalking her since earlier that day, determined that she truly meet an end, one way or another. She would fight it, of course. She hadn't lived this long by staying in safety, or gotten this far by not putting herself at risk. That was why she was standing here tonight. She needed to remind herself that risks were necessary, sometimes. That they didn’t always turn out badly. Besides, she needed some peace and quiet. Quiet she had found. Peace... She could feel the malevolent darkness behind her, again. She nearly turned and looked, tempted the most she’d been in years to see what was behind her. But it wouldn’t do any good, would it? Death was a rather invisible concept, usually. Death was also rather intangible, generally, so she was understandably surprised when she felt a hand at her back, and then a sense of deja vu as what she had imagined came to pass. She fell down and down, past the tower, into the chasm, and then there was nothing more. Inside the tower Lily had just violently exited, a hand lowered slowly, and footsteps paced toward the window. A hooded figure raised a spyglass to eye to look down upon Lily's corpse, confirming this time that the woman had really died. The figure stood there for some time, gazing down upon its handiwork. An hour later, a knock came at the door, but there was no one left inside to answer it. However, the door was locked, and the window bolted shut. Luckat has died! Stink has died! Day 3 has begun and will last 46 hours. Player List

Very minor rules change - the Research action "Interview" can now be successfully used on anyone, anywhere. However, it only grants Research Points if your target can use your Current World's Primary Investiture. This mostly only matters to people with Research-related Goals. The ability should now read: Interview Type: Active [detect] Target: Player (local) Requirement: Your target did not target you this turn with any non-[assist] actions. Your faction has not yet successfully gained Research Points from using Interview on your target. Effect: If your target can use your Current World's Primary Investiture, your faction gains 2 Research Points for your Current World's Primary Investiture. Regardless of whether or not you gain Research Points, your target will be Informed that you "spoke with them."

LG26: Day Two - Swan Dive Standing in front of a desk near the top of a tall building, a figure rummaged through some papers. The figure didn't know what they were looking for, but they were sure it was here, somewhere. "Aha!" they exclaim, holding up a sheet and turn to go. Standing in the doorway out of the room is another figure, clad all in black. "Who's there?" asked the first, still holding the paper in hand. "What do you want at this late hour?" The figure in the doorway smiles, their eyes shrouded in darkness. "Your death," it says, simply and in a flurry of speed, the darkness rushed forward catching the one at the desk by surprise. Seconds later, a body tumbles from the office's window and falls ten stories. What happened to the body at the bottom? Who can say, for the defenestrator did not stay behind to see their handiwork. Later, curious crowds drawn by the noise looked over at the blood smeared ground where a body should be, and yet, there was nothing there. No one has died in the night. Day 2 has begun and will last 46 hours. I'm certain I made some mistakes. I apologize in advance for them - this is hard to keep track of, and it took a considerable amount of time. Player List

LG26: Night One - Sudden Death Magestar, the first to join the crowd of Worldhoppers exploring the newly linked worlds, strolled through the Cognitive near an entrance to the world he had been staying on. The roiling chaos of the knotted realms swirled around him, and he smiled. He liked it here, where it was chaotic, yet peaceful, like a small, placid lake that just had a boulder thrown in. "I wonder who we should kill first, if anyone," he mused to himself, "Perhaps Odin? Others seem to want to kill him, and I might as well stick to what other people want. No need to make waves. Besides, he really isn't being very helpful." "Not helpful? Not helpful?!" shouted a voice. "How about you? How helpful are you being?" That's Aralis, thought Magestar, first time he speaks and it's to shout at me. "Let's kill him!" Aralis added over his shoulder, "Let's show him how helpful we think he is!" "Yeah!" shouted another voice, "How dare you vote for someone because other people are voting for them! C'mon everyone, show of hands, who wants to lynch him right here and now?" Magestar held up his hands in protest, "Wait, wait, hold on now, there's no reason to kill me. I'm neutral in whatever disputes you all have, I was just trying to help..." his voice trailed off as he waited for the mob to respond, inching his way back toward the nearby Perpendicularity. A murmur went through the crowd. One voice rose over the rest, "Hold on, if he's just a harmless neutral player, that means he's not working with me, right? So, why should I care if he lives or dies?" “Yeah!” says Magestar, still backing away. “Why not kill… that guy instead?” he points at Ecthelion. “He’s totally a better person to kill!” “I have another idea,” says Lily, stepping forward. “How about, instead of murder, we don’t kill anyone at all? We’ve had a lovely discussion over tea, and it didn’t even involve murder a little bit! That’s not how things normally go around here.” Victor stepped forward to stand beside her. “I agree, we shouldn’t kill just for the sake of killing. Magestar may not be on our side, but that’s no reason to kill him. Let’s all work together instead and agree to disagree with words and not swords.” "That means you'll let me live?" Magestar asked, now very close to escaping. The crowd calmed down, the angry mob turning into just a gathering of folks who happen to be carrying weapons. They murmured their assent and turned to leave. Magestar, relieved to be alive, turned to the glowing pool, his way away from the people who nearly murdered him. As he stepped into it, he felt a sudden sharp pain. Looking down, he saw the tip of a blade sticking from his chest. “I changed my mind,” said The Young Bard while cleaning the now bloody sword. “Sorry! If it’s any help, I feel really bad about this, but I wanted to examine a body, and, well, now I can. I’m sure you’d understand if you weren’t, you know, dead.” A bloody body fell into the Perpendicularity as The Young Bard left, but Magestar found himself standing where he had been, still in the Cognitive. A figure appeared next to him with a serene look within ageless eyes. "Am I dead?" Magestar asked the figure. "I am afraid that is the case," the voice said. "Be at peace." And Magestar allowed himself to stretch into the distance, following the pull of the Beyond. Final Vote tally Magestar (7): Araris, The Only Joe, AliasSheep, Stink, Straw, Ecthelion, The Young Bard Ecthelion (5): Doctor12, Magestar, Paranoid King, Luckat, Arraenae The Only Joe (1): Silverblade Silverblade (1): Little Wilson Amanuensis (1): Darkness Ascendant Stink (1): Elenion Magestar has been lynched! Night One has begun and will last 47 hours. You now each have three actions to spend. Due to real world commitments, Elenion has decided that he really doesn't have time for an LG right now and is dropping out. Burnt will be replacing him and taking over his role. Remember that most end of turn passive effects trigger before Worldhop. However, because there has been some confusion about this, I would like to remind everyone that unlike most end of turn effects, Spheres check for recharge after Worldhop. This means that to recharge a Dun Sphere, you can wait until Night Two to travel to Roshar, or you can travel there tonight and not leave tomorrow. If you Worldhop away from Roshar on Night Two, your Spheres will not recharge.

I would like to remind everyone of something from the General Rules: This means, you cannot say stuff like "the third word of my hidden faction's goal is Bison" or "use the name of our faction goal as the key to decipher this secret message." That's using information from the Game Master to prove you are a villager, or close enough for the purposes of this game.

LG26: Day One - Beginnings Within the Cognitive Realm, a mass of mist, beads, and sand swirls about in the grip of a violent storm. Colors flash across the mass like lightning, highlighting the landscape in a burst of vibrance that quickly fades. The storm subsides, revealing a figure who had stood at the storm's eye, unscathed save for the mess the lightning made of his white hair. The man shakes his head. "Nope," he says to himself as he walks away, "Not my problem. Someone else will clean this up. I have places to be." His form shimmers as he walks, and the figure that departs the Cognitive for calmer lands looks nothing like the man who stood at the center of that raging storm. Day 1 has begun and will last 46 hours. World PMs, starting PMs, and Faction Docs that have not yet been set up will be set up shortly. Remember that PMs can only be created through abilities, and the GMs must be included on all PMs. I ask that players not give the name of the Cosmere character on their Role sheet during Cycle 1. I think it will add to the game if people keep that to themselves at the very least for one Cycle. After Cycle 1 is over, use your own discretion, but keep in mind that this game only mostly follows canon, the characters are not necessarily what you'd expect, and some other players are looking for very specific people to kill or rob as part of their personal goals. Player List Now, begin!

A small rules change: you can no longer tap a Tinmind for two charges and specify "Role Name" as your category. Please see the new version of Tinmind below, if it is relevant to you: Tinmind Charge Type: t<#> Store Type: Free [special] Store Effect: To Store in a Tinmind, you must use an ability that can target "Player (local)," but explicitly declare no target. Your target will then be randomly selected among people on the same world as you, but it will never be yourself even if the action is capable of targeting yourself. You will not be told who your target was. For every action so declared, gain t<1>. You may only gain up to t<2> this way per Night turn. This Store ability may not be interfered with in any way. Tap Type: Free [detect] Tap Requirement: You did not store tin this turn. Tap Effect: Learn one piece of information about each person on your Current World. You may learn the type of one action they took, the target of one action they took, how much Investiture they have, what one of their Passive Specials is, the name of one of the Items they have, or their Role name. If you tap t<1>, what you learn is random and each player is considered separately. If you tap t<2>, you may choose which category you wish to learn about, but you may not choose "Role Name" and you get the same category for everyone. EDIT: Also, the question was brought up about copy/pasting and I realized I'm not sure if it's in the general rules or not. This game follows the standard policy: You may not copy/paste anything from a PM (including the GM PM) or Doc into another PM or Doc or the main thread. Paraphrase instead.

Everyone should now have their role PM. Please remember that the game does not start until tomorrow night, so please do not post anything about your character to anyone except me or Elbereth. All docs, PMs, and World PMs will be set up tomorrow - if you have a Doc Link, please do not write anything in the doc until the game starts. If you have any questions, please ask them in your Role PM and we will answer them when we can. I'm expecting lots of questions, which is why the game isn't starting for 24 hours even though we managed to get everything ready before then. I hope everyone enjoys their characters and that no one is spoiled - we tried really hard not to spoil anyone with this. If you do not have your role PM, please let us know asap. EDIT: Oh, and if you are the one person lacking a Background, sorry! I might fill that out if I'm inspired, but I ran out of creative energy by the time I got to character #33 x.x

It'd be instant, but then more people joined and we're still finalizing the new roles and rejiggering the casting. I totally agree that people will have questions and want to send them out asap. We'll see what happens. If no one else joins, El should have a role distribution down soon, and then we can start sending them out when signups end.

Zinc. I have 33 characters done now, though the 33rd has no background written and probably won't get one. I'm still working through the background for #32, and I think that's the last background I have the time and energy to write. I'm running out of ideas fast though. If anyone else joins, well, we have ONE idea left, and then I'm out of ideas entirely, and that last one isn't fully formed.
