Also, isn't one of the back five books going to be about Renarin? It could be a very tragic book, but I think most of us are leaning towards better things are coming for him. If nothing else, he's finally with people he can talk with about his powers, at least if some stick around or team up. Don't forget that Shallon has a copy of Words of Radiance. And I'm guessing Jasnah will run into him at some point. Considering SA3 is about Dalinar, I expect Renarin will get some more time in the spotlight. Anyway, my main point is if a book is going to focus on him, we can expect more than just the failures we have seen. If nothing else, he may finalyl come to accept who he is. Edit: He's also got the socially awkward nerd/geek vibe going that I am sure resonates with many of Brandon's fanbase.

"Economy" only implies trade. There doesn't have to be any industry. We have no idea how many people left SoScad. It could just be a handful, or even just two. Do we know if it's possible to grow food in the CR that's edible by people from the PR in the CR?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted. Everyone else in the world is happy... but all of their negative emotions, memories, etc. are now your burden to bear. You will never know happiness and will regret for the rest of your life that you used the word "others" in your wish. I wish for the ability to see the future. -
Maybe Brandon is addressing the "dead" part?

I think all of the shards will eventually overwhelm their respective vessels, so it's more a question of how much and for how long the vessel can influence the shard (making "control" a misnomer).
-
The question is are there enough worldhoppers for an economy, and if there are, were they actually pilfering Scadrial. The evidence we actually have suggests at best we're talking about adventurers, and adventurers know how to move on.

IIRC, Nazh is in WoR. Edit: And technically, any drawings signed by him. And of course, the Ars Arcanum are written by Khriss.
-
It's been a while since I read that, but IIIRC that quote can be read as referring to the Scadrial economy.
-
So for Scadrial, are you theorizing that at least one magic system is due to interactions with both shards?

The starmap he's going to give is in Arcanum Unbound is going to be based on the CR. And we know there will be Mistborn Era4 with FTL travel, which would obviously require a PR starmap, so I don't see how the existence of a PR starmap supports or disproves your theory.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted. Your bane is you see the world through Kindergartner lens. If you're lucky, you may get to some stick figures, but it may just be a mashup of crayons.... I wish there was an iPad version of Mistborn: House of War. -
My headcanon is that Windrunners are about protecting. Wanted to murder Amaram and working with the conspirators to kill Elokhar. It's not the emotion but the intent. And the problem for Shallan was becoming too lost in the lie. So it's about figuring out what they actually believe in.

Granted. Your bane is you can never use Feruchemy. Ever. I wish it would stop raining! -
Era4 Mistborn could presumably come up with a planet killer.

That quote just tells us what Roshar thinks, not that what they think is accurate. If anything, it's implied that it's not.

I think Brandon is a bit more fluid on the release schedule. We've alrady seen him throw in more short stories, the Mistborn Era2 trilogy (note that book 3 of that trilofy has bnot been release -- a lot of people seem to think AoL is part of the trilogy). which was not planned, push SA3 out a year, etc. The release schedule is more than anythign I think tied to what he wants to reveal, which means e.g. SA1-5 have to be released before IIRC the Elantris sequel and Mistborn Era2 book 4 can be released. And obviously Dragonsteel has to come very late given all the spoilers it will have. There are also Brandon's non-cosmere books. You need to include those in any release schedule since they can affect when Cosmere books are released. Heck, The Wheel of Time significantly delayed the SA books (though also significantly improved his fan base).

Edit: You should really read Liar of Partinel. While not canon, the core background info on Hoid matches with canon (or put differently, canon does not contradict it).

I don't think "control" is quite the right word. I think over time the intent overwhelms/corrupts the vessel. So e.g. Rayse will become more hateful over time and lose other aspects including rationale thought, eventually becoming pure hatred. "Influence" may be a better term. I suspect that Rayse could have wreaked more havoc with Ruin but his influence over the shard would diminish faster. Of course, if I'm right, then the theory is that the power is too much for any mortal to handle long term. Though that also implies that intents that are not all-consuming could leave some portion of the vessel intact. Autononmy (loner) and Harmony (zen monk) come to mind. Maybe cultivation. Survival possibly, but that one could turn into paranoia and psychopathy. Harmony is interesting, because we have Ruin and Preservation that taken to extremes are unhealthy for sure. But Harmony is a step up -- the Buddhist monk seeking enlightenment, the balance in nature, etc. There is an implied "one cannot be complete without all the shards", which fits given that shards are all pieces of one being. Side note: should this be in the Cosmere forum?

About that unknown force/spike... (Minor Emperor Soul Spoilers)
Argel replied to What's a Seawolf?'s topic in Mistborn
I think "hack" refers to a non-local using the local magic system, such as someone from Scadrial visiting Sel and learning how to soulstamp. Not someone Sel leanring how to soulstamp on Scadrial. -

Granted. They are put in a trust until Brandon finishes the Cosmere. Your bane is you now work for the trust company holding your powers, allowing you to see the vault they are stored in five days a week -- seven if you want to come in on the weekends and drool.... I wish that teaching or freelancing as a graphic artist paid as much as working in IT! Edit: spelling -
A shardpool is just one of the obvious and likely easier/faster ways to do it. We know it's possible to a different location in the CR and we've seen Jasnah and Shallan enter the CR without using a shardpool. Secret History I'm not sure as a worldhopper that I would want my home base to be so closely tied to a shard. A lot could happen while away, making someplace less obvious a possible better choice. I suppose it depends on the intent of the shard. The other problem is that werever they are would have it's own magic system if a shard is there and I do not think we have seen any magic systems we do not know about in use yet, other than Hoid's Yolish lightcasting. And we know Khriss is from White Sands. Maybe Brandon is just holding out on us, but I am skeptical. I think a better option is that fourth shard we know Odium splintered that we haven't seen yet. It's likely safe from attack from Odium and it could have a localized magic system like Sel. Or maybe it's magic makes worldhopping easier. Edit: What if there is a Curiosity shard? That could go with worldhopping and could fit the shard that hasn't settled down.

While Liars of Partinel is not canon, I do not think Brandon will be discarding some of the core elements, . We might even have some WoBs that cover some of it (e.g. we know Hoid is not his real name). It would really be worth the effort to track down a copy of Liars before discussing Hoid's origin.
