  1. There are some authors I'm worried about (grr Martin) but Brandon's a pretty healthy guy an I'm sure he will have a very long life.
  2. Blood is something you can soulcast, so maybe that has something to do with it?
  3. But we don't know whether Amians can go into the Cognitive ream on their own! Maybe they are even better than elsecallers.
  4. Yes, we do. Remember, the two things he was not allowed to do were kill himself and give away his blade? If not giving away your blade was a rule, then it was probably given to him because he was a truthless.
  5. Completely agree. The Nightwatcher is so much more complex than a boon/bane vending machine. She's a storming splinter of Cultivation! In my opinion, everybody who goes to the Nightwatcher becomes a part of Cultivation's plan. Lift, for example, is bonded to Wyndle who is litterally a cultivationspren! Some however, are affected more than others. Mr T has been completely used by Cultivation, to the point where I am not sure if he is really is own person anymore.
  6. How did the original Elantrians come up with Aons? How did the first Scadrialins first put metal in their mouths?
  7. I feel like Brandon is watching these posts and laughing evilly as we wander ever farther in the wrong direction...
  8. I think they're more worried about the Evil. If it's left over from Ambition then the Evil would ambitiously want to extend his influence.
  9. So what's the spoiler policy? Do we just spoiler tag it? Or is it more strict?
  10. I don't think she could be Vin because allomancy is in the Spiritual realm and Marsai is not a Mistborn.
  11. No, there are atium mistings. They are called Seers.
  12. In the Listener song of History, it says that "Tis said it was warm in the land far away / When Voidbringers entered our songs / We brought them home to stay/ And then those homes became their own. So wherever the Voidspren came from was hot. Ashyn is very warm, and close to the sun, so that's a definite possibility, really more so than Braize in my opinion.
  13. They are both likely Godmetals. Maybe all Godmetals look similar? This could make a lot of sense. Maybe stone is Harmony's Godmetal. That would explain why Shin don't walk on it.
  14. I am a Cosmere purist, and object you you calling Reckoners just as awesome as Stormlight.
  15. No. Alas.
  16. A godmetal is by definition Very Odd, so I don't think so. There were no atium ferrings.
  17. Maybe it has something to do with crem? We know that crem is "shardpoop", and Shin are fine with soulcast stone. So maybe this issue is with crem?
  18. I think it's something completely different. As Av said, the Nightwatcher just gives you what she wants to give you. She doesn't even give you a boon if she doesn't want to! So whatever Mr. T has is what Cultivation wanted him to have. Every curse or boon the Nightwatcher has given is simply a way of furthering the goals of Cultivation. Taravangian has simply been used more than others.
  19. I know that feeling. I was in seventh grade when I first read the Song of Ice and Fire. Scarred for life.
  20. Biggest I could find was http://store.brandonsanderson.com/roshar-map-poster/. It's 16" 21.5", which is not wall sized . I'm afraid the only way to do this is to create one. If any artist on the site would make one, I too would be willing to buy it!
  21. White Sand. He NEVER should have outsourced the dialogue.
  22. Honor. He represents the goodness in people, and I feel like he is Odium's antithesis.
  23. The Shin hate any form of violence, so a sword, even a magical one, would not be considered precious by them.
  24. We don't have any confirmation, so maybe! It seems unlikely because whatever their goal is, they would have probably achieved it by now if they had existed in era 1.
