  1. So I was looking at the SA summaries, and then the WOT summaries, and I decided that Mistborn should have one. But Figberts, you did the same thing with the memesified books where Twi started them and then you did an inferior imitation of them in a fruitless attempt to get upvotes! You have no imagination! Shhh! This is completely different! Because this time instead of stealing the idea from another sharder, you're stealing it from a sharder who stole it from a guy in a completely different fandom? No, because it's in spoiler tags, unlike the memes which were super long and took forever to scroll down.
  2. I love it! I'm scanning TES and can't find any inconsistencies (although perhaps a better Cosmerenaut could)! Very nice work.
  3. Oh well... can't get every theory right!
  4. Oathbringer spoilers
  5. Granted. Instead you use the one in my dad's office. I wish for Oathbringer.
  6. I do this too! I also highlight any creature names that I think might not be on the Coppermind, as well as any name that's Israeli. He does this all the time. Brightlord Yonatan and Brightness Meirav are both Hebrew names (my dad is Yonatan).
  7. Time in the Cosmere does not seem like something that can be warped. For example, we don't have any time travel magic so far, and even shards that can see into the future only see possibilities. Then all of a sudden, in Mistborn era 2, something happened that allowed time to speed up and slow down. This is a really big deal! Bendalloy, which speeds up time, essentially allows a person to go into the future at a very slow pace! This is crazy! So I have a theory. I don't think the time is actually being altered. It's the cognitive aspect that is altered. The person's perception of time changes, not time itself. They age more slowly/quickly inside the bubble because their body itself doesn't think that it's aging. Time itself stays the same. Now, this seems kind of like a moot point to argue, since either way it looks like the same to the people both in and out of the bubble. However, this is actually a pretty big issue since if it's true, it proves that time in the Cosmere is immutable and can't be altered. Otherwise we would have to look at time as something that could be warped by investiture, and that would be very confusing. Ideas?
  8. Sel is sentient, so it might have a spiritweb, but since Scadrial isn't I doubt it has one. Also, If there was a giant spiritweb just waiting to have its interesting spiritual aspect taken from it, don't you think people would have done it before? Isn't it much easier to stick a spike in the ground than it is to kill a person for it?
  9. On the one hand, this fits in with the Vorin idea of symmetry. On the other had. I don't know if I would like this to play out. Brandon has already said that the Shards aren't necessarily good or evul, and I think the same holds true for the characters. Szeth for example, isn't really good or evil. I am hoping that more characters are like this, and keep the Cosmere awesome!
  10. About the shield, I think when he gets his plate, he won't need a shield. Although what would be really interesting is if Shallan got the sword. Her powers are completely different, so she would essentially have four different surges. What would happen if somebody got all ten blades? Would they become like TLR?
  11. blue is the opposite of red, and red is the color of angry shades, of voidbringer eyes, stars in the scar, trellium, etc.
  12. al'Wyn looked out at the odd gathering. In previous days, he would have simply walked pass them, or maybe weave one of his more unusual weaves at them and see what happened. He didn't really like it, but he had to eat and nobody was going to let a male channeler hang around for long. But he didn't have to any more. Because now, he was an Aes Sedai. Not only was Saidan really cleansed, and it wasn't just his madness playing tricks on him, but the Dragon had reformed the world. The way he figured, a man could easily be an Aes Sedai. He walked over, and saw a man standing completely still. He felt another chaneller. He didn't care. He went up to the man who was not moving, and gave his most unnerving Aes Sedai grin. "I have misplaced my horse. I need to go to the White Tower. Take me there." He hoped that his Aes Sedai imitation was working. He looked around. Not only were they not instantly mounting, but they were actually looking angrily at him. Light, this was bad. Should he leave?
  13. If you're a redwall fan, you can probably relate to my unfortunate situation of being a weasel stuck in a statue.
  14. You've got a head start if you know Hoid is a worldhopper. A if you read the Stormlight Archive, you would know the three guys who talked to the purelaker? They all are worldhoppers. Welcome to the shard!
  15. Okay, can we just close this thread?
  16. Her Pancakefullness will only accept the homemade pancakes if they were supposed to be yours. Then she will be more than happy to eat your breakfast, and may let you join her club.
  17. On the wall like Szeth!
  18. Ambition died on Threnody, so the planets are all laments to Ambition. As for purity, I think it may be a shard. It is bigger than the sun after all.
  19. When the color is removed, I am fairly certain that the molecular structure of the substance stays the same. The carrot would still have carotene, the copper (II) sulfate would not be reduced or oxidized. What changes is the the structure of the atom. Color is created by energy entering an atom, getting the electrons into an exited state, and then the electrons going back into a non-exited state and creating energy by doing that. That energy is the color. During awakening, the molecular structure stays the same, but the energy in the color goes towards awakening.
  20. Farnsworth

    Why?

I actually have a theory about this. However, I never really got in to what he was upset about. There is a WOB saying he was at the Shattering, and if he was upset about the Shattering, then maybe his goal is to either minimize the damage caused by the shattering, or undo the shattering.

  22. I wonder if Brandon can do it. That might explain it.
  23. Yes, you should wait. Edgedancer, the last short story, contains many spoilers for WOR. Also, the protagonist, Lift, is indroduced in WOR, so you would be confused.
  24. He chokes on the hot dog, and the miliworts (was that the word) for hot dogs skyrockets.
  25. Love the theory! There is definitely a correlation. Also, Trellium has red on it. Personally, I think it has something to do with the God Beyond, not Odium.
