You’re forgetting that the Fullborn will start by pushing themselves high in the air, then pulling themselves toward the planet, further increasing their speed. Furthermore, assuming they know what they’re doing, a Fullborn can anchor a Bendalloy bubble to themselves, allowing them to be moving in compressed time. Connection probably helps here.

My experience with reading Mistborn backwards
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Halyo_Alex's topic in Mistborn
Man, you must have been so confused when he died... What did you think happened? -
Mystic frowned from where she stood at the pier on the edge of the canal. “Babsk,” she called, “Chance says I need to go there,” she pointed in the direction of the city. Écho nodded. “Take the small boat. Rahasy, go with her.” The solemn Awakener nodded, climbing into the small whaleboat. He flicked the allomantic engine, sending the boat across the misty city. Chance flew ahead, guiding Mystic as she stood at the helm, her long eyebrows flowing behind her. Elsewhere.... Priére shook his head. “Not I,” he said, removing the spear hanging about his neck, laying it before the murderer, “but my Lord. Pray to him for mercy, for I have none for men such as you.” Kelsier sealed the front door, activating the hidden protections around the house. “Ene!” He called. “Contact the octant leaderships. Then the outer cities. Then find my brother. I doubt he’ll be pleased about this either.” The Survivor flung himself into the air, swallowing a vial of small steel balls. These weren’t ordinary allomantic stores: he had filled them with speed earlier, allowing him to burn their Feruchemical stores. He did so, soaring across the city in a blur of mist. He drew on his stored Ironsight as he did so, watching with blue spiritual lines, his bronze flairing alongside. It didn’t take him long to find what he was looking for. She was in the basement, unable to access the cellar. ”Hello, Lilli,” the Survivor said, cheerfully. “Ghosthood isn’t all its cut out to be, is it?”

@Random Bystander Roues scowled as he saw the blood pooling beneath Lilliana’s head. Master Thaidakar was not going to like this. He tapped his duralumin medallion, informing his boss of events while Priére tied up the shooter. Over in the mansion, Kelsier abruptly grew grim, a dangerous aura forming about him. Get rid of her body, he ordered, before turning his attention back to the three remaining. ”Head to the basement,” he told them. “Trésor, keep an eye on the door until Fouet and Braiser get down, then seal the entry behind them. I’ll arm the house as I leave.” He pulled off his jacket and gloves as he spoke, then flicked a switch on the end of his cane. The mechanism inside whirled to life, the upper portion extending upward and to the sides, becoming a spear. Kelsier took a small pistol from the inside of his jacket, attaching it to his waist. A pair of obsidian daggers and a bag of coins followed. Over in the alley, Roues pulled a small stick of dynamite, laying it beside Lilli’s body. He lifted the captive, tossing him over his shoulder before walking around the corner. Tzalum stood there, talking to a stranger. A moment later a blur emerged from the alley just as a massive “BANG!” resounded. The three Ghostbloods nodded grimly. Priére reclaimed his captive from Roues, then ran. It wouldn’t do for the constables to notice him kidnapping a man. A moment later he was slipping into a basement, then into a hidden cellar lined with aluminum. He slammed the murderer into a chair tying him down more tightly than necessary. Priére did not like those who harmed children or killed innocents. Such was a violation of the Survivor’s will, the man Priére had given his life and service to.

Roues followed Lilli as she entered the alley, using Iron to track her. At the sound of gunshots he instinctively pulled the bullets toward his chest plate. Prière ran past him in a blur, slamming into the assailant before the man finished talking. Roues dropped down at Lilli’s side and pressed a medallion into her hand. “Tap this,” he said urgently. Tzalum stepped out, his eyes narrowed. “Come with me. I need to get you somewhere safe.”

Ah. Thanks. Would someone else like to go? I don’t really feel like creating hints right now. -
Roues, follow her. Kelsier ordered. I’ll have Priére join you. The chauffeur immediately moved from his place at the door, following Lilli as she wandered through the streets, careful to keep her in sight. After a few moments he noted a Survivorist priest moving through the crowds nearby, pausing to drop clips into the hat of a beggar. ”Milev,” Kelsier said, the name rolling off his tongue.

Kelsier nodded. “Explicit memory is factual data. So you can store your knowledge of particular facts. ”Although Camon’s safehouse wasn’t the first place I used it. Just the first time in the book.” He paused, considering. “Meilav? Is that your name for Vin?” He pronounced her name Vah(n) in traditional Scadrian fashion.

Yes to who? -
It could be to highlight the difference between the two brothers. No one who has ever met Kell would forget it. But Marsh can be unassuming.

ignored Lilli, or pretended to. Mentally, he began preparing. Clearly he was going to have to find something to occupy the girl before she caused even more damage than she had. If that didn’t work, he’d have to kill her. As much as he’d regret it, he couldn’t have her overturning the plot the way she intended. The situation was too tenuous for that. Kelsier smiled at Hoblim, raising an eyebrow. “You’re in quite the rush. It takes years to master the art of an arcanist. You’re just learning how to store a single aspect of memory. Rearranging the contents of a metal mind requires being able to hold both texts as images in your mind very briefly before swapping them. ”If you really want to try though...”

“Even if you had internet, you still couldn’t reach the servers,” Kelsier noted, amused. “Faster than light communication in the Physical Realm hasn’t been cracked yet.” Technically there was an internet on Scadrial. It was just very limited - and no where near Elendel - since Kelsier couldn’t risk someone stumbling on to it. Scadrial needed to figure that one out for themselves, starting with computers.

“Curiosity about the stars, I’d hope,” Kelsier said. “If that isn’t enough I might have to push things along. Create a competition, maybe.”

The Person Below Me
Kingsdaughter613 replied to The Awakened Salad's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Driving aggressively is the only way to get anywhere in NYC. That doesn’t mean we drive dangerously. We know what we’re doing and we drive carefully and safely. But I’m not going to hit red lights for twenty blocks because some idiot at the DMV deliberately set them up to be out of sync if you’re driving at the speed limit. (Yes, they do this.) Their are several places in NYC (the Gowanus expressway to the Brooklyn Battery comes to mind) where breaking the law is SAFER than following it. (For reference: You have to cross four lanes of traffic to get from the entry to the BB. The end of the entry ramp is too close to the entrance of the BB, so you basically have to drive in a horizontal line to get there. If you enter before you are legally allowed you have four times the distance to get across. Until they reopened the street entrance, anyone with half a brain broke the law going from the Gowanus to the BB.) It’s the drivers that think they can drive like New Yorkers, but without the experience, that are dangerous. They don’t have the skill or know-how to know what’s safe and what isn’t. The other problem is non-aggressive drivers because we don’t know what they’re going to do or not do. Also because they drive much slower than the surrounding traffic, which is actually dangerous. Ironically, they think they’re being safe. (You should drive at the same speed the majority of drivers are driving at. That’s the safest.) The people driving most dangerously are the bicyclists. They don’t wear helmets, don’t signal, don’t honk, don’t stop on red, don’t stay in their lane, drive the wrong way on one-way streets, and bike on the wrong side of the road. Many don’t even have proper lights or reflectors! And no one ever tickets them or calls them to task for any of this. Pesach food can be excellent. But you really miss everything by the end of the week. Longer if you don’t have a Pesach kitchen. I can eat Gebroktz all Yom Tov now. TPBM knows someone who eats kitnios. -
I have not. NHIE gone to Hawaii.

So not Demoux, not Mraize... Do Galladon or Baon have scars? -
“Nothing,” Trésor said. “That’s exactly what you just did, if you did this right. You stored the written words. The trick is learning to store just the visual stimuli or just the auditory or just the olfactory, and so on. With greater skill you can learn to store emotional or factual memory alone. You can even learn to store muscle memory. ”What you’re talking about is storing episodic memory - the memory of the actual event. You don’t want to do that often, because you lose the entire experience.” ”I can compound my memories,” Kelsier said, glancing over. “So I can make copies. It’s useful for leaving a visual record, but on a day to day basis storing select information is more useful.”

My older daughter has a TBI and has been known to get dangerously cold in 80 degree weather... Sadly, we haven’t eaten that lamb in 2000 years. No Holy Temple means no Passover Sacrifice. Which is a shame, because it does sound good. @Nathrangking New York drivers aren’t terrible! Out of state drivers are terrible. They all drive so slowly! NY roads are terrible. They’re too narrow to drive properly on and there isn’t enough parking. New York policies are terrible. If it was up to the officials, no one would drive (but let’s not fix the subways, right? They had the perfect opportunity during Covid, but noooo....) NYC drivers are actually really good drivers because we have to be skilled to deal with traffic. We just tend to be very aggressive drivers. No, I can’t. I have a tongue tie. TPBM has a tongue tie.
