  1. Eventually they arrived at the Perpendicularity. ”Here,” Kelsier said, offering a large strip of cloth. “Use it to cover the spike. It’ll draw too much attention in Elendel.”
  2. Kelsier grinned at her. “Hello Princess! Come to visit me?”
  3. Kelsier leaned back, occasionally moving the helm to correct course.
  4. Kelsier flicked the motor on, they pulled up his speed bubble.
  5. Kelsier chuckled, then made his farewells to the Cognitive team. He kept his pewter on a low burn making carrying Lilli near effortless. He held her until they reached the boat. “Drop here,” he instructed.
  6. @Random Bystander Kelsier took her hand, then swung her on to his back. “Close your left eye,” he warned. “Otherwise you’ll get dizzy and I’d rather you didn’t throw up on me.”
  7. Kelsier smiled warmly at her, offering a hand. “Ready to head back?”
  8. Kelsier stepped back, eye narrowed. “Careful,” he warned. “The dual sight takes some getting used to. Don’t be surprised if you’re falling over for the forceable future.”
  9. He sighed and nodded. “Stay still,” Kelsier warned. “This isn’t going to be fun.” Then he slammed the spike through her eye socket, shattering the back of the orbit and driving the point deep into her cranial cavity. He could feel her change as he did so, becoming more there; more solid. He made a mental note to go over those notes one of Iyatil’s people had stolen from Ishar, back before they’d lost contact.
  10. Kelsier frowned, pausing in front of her. “Lilli. I’m going to put the spike through your eye. Are you sure that’s what you want?”
  11. He smiled. “Your assassin left you a little gift,” he raised the spike, “his Connection to the Physical Realm.” Kelsier smirked. “Seeing as he took yours, I thought it only fair that you got his.”
  12. Kelsier grinned at her. “Hey, Lilli. Had enough of being a ghost?”
  13. The four Ghostbloods finished their lunch and returned to work, when they were interrupted by a sharp, rhythmic tapping on the station’s door. Arcane hurried over, open the door with wariness that quickly changed to relief. “Master Thaidakar,” the Sandmaster cried delightedly.
  14. Kelsier activated the allomantic engine, then put a speed bubble around the boat. It was centered on himself, which always took concentration. The saved time was worth it though. After several relative hours had passed, he finally reached the canal leading to Elendel. Happily, he left the boat, then tapped speed, racing across the misty landscape.
  15. Eryn chuckled. “Always listens here.” But she hurried up the stairs and pushed the door open for Zola.
  16. Kelsier smiled as he removed the spike, wordlessly taking the aluminum wrap from Priére. “Keep an eye on things until I get back?” The priest bowed his head. “It would be my honor, Lord.” Kelsier grinned, clapping Priére on the back. “Good man! I know I can count on you.” Smiling, the Survivor replaced his glasses, emerging from the basement and soaring into the sky. He burnt the metalminds he’d swallowed earlier. He soared across the plains leaving a vacuum behind, Mist swirling about him. It didn’t take him long to reach the perpendicularity, hidden deep in the mountains. A moment later he was in the Cognitive Realm, on his way back to Elendel. Trésor shook her head. “You’re too unpracticed. You can try using it though; get used to how it feels.”
  17. “Not at the moment, I’m afraid,” Trésor told her. “Your job is to let us keep you safe until Master Thaidakar returns.”
  18. Kelsier smiled as the last of the bonds fell away. He clapped Charlie on the shoulder with his left hand, the right in his pocket. “Thank you, Charlie. You’ve been a real help.” Then he stabbed the assassin through the heart with Duralumin.
  19. He smiled, standing up, and began to untie his prisoner. “Oh,” he said, pausing as though a thought had just occurred to him, “what was your organization called? It has a name, right?”
