  1. “At least it isn’t a Jumanji-type situation for you. The imaginary infecting your world and wrecking havoc,” Trésor noted with amusement.
  2. Kelsier and Priére sat on either side of her. Roues started moving down the road.. Kelsier sent Verity to sit on Adrienne’s shoulder again. “Which train station?”
  3. Kelsier nodded, flinging the basement doors open with a push. “Come on then. Roues, Priére, you too. Aiguilles, head back to the house. Get started on those fittings.” The tailor nodded, heading off to flag down a teamster. Roues waved, then swung into his car, starting the engine.
  4. Kelsier flew up after her. “Out there you call me Kell,” he warned. “Or Master Thaidakar, Lord Elariel, or just keep mispronouncing my name. But don’t call me Kelsier*; it’ll draw attention we don’t want.”
  5. “Now.” Kelsier said cheerfully, pointing to the ladder. “Ladies first.”
  6. Humph. So first Wit lies in his roast, then he cheats in the voting? I call foul.
  7. That’s also a possibility. Though that leads to some other questions that can’t be asked here... @LewsTherinTelescope An incomplete sketch for you: Study Buddies! Completed sketch:
  8. I headcannon that those two have an on and off collaboration thing going on, because Khriss loves sharing information and learning and Kelsier loves discovering new things and finding secrets. So they end up exchanging knowledge and researching the metallic arts together. And a few other things. Kelsier now has his name on half-a-dozen research studies in Silverlight’s university because Khriss insists on crediting him, and a surprising number of students there think he’s some kind of reclusive scholar (because he never visits to give lectures) and are always rather shocked to discover what he really is. Oh, and Kell has an open invitation to lecture if he can ever get off Scadrial, something that amuses him greatly. (And it amuses me to imagine a bunch of juniors at Silverlight envisioning Kelsier as some stereotypical scholar.)
  9. “Ah, ah, ah.” Kelsier shook a finger. “You’re not part of the team, remember? You’re just helping out under protest - and spike point.”
  10. Kelsier laughed. “Good thing you’re not part of my team then. Ghostbloods don’t harm Ghostbloods.”
  11. Shouldn’t it be Atium, not Lerasium?
  12. Really more of a Mistborn topic, but it’s going here for obvious reasons. Withe recent revelations there’s been a theory that Thaidakar is a word in Skaa, possibly just Survivor translated. I disagree. I think Thaidakar is a Terris word. Absinthew Idashwy Axindweth Tathingdwen Vwafendel Tenningdar Thaidakar The title fits very neatly with the three syllable Terris words and names. It doesn’t match up nearly as well with words in Skaa, which tend to follow French-like linguistics. Thematically, it makes a certain amount of sense for Kelsier to have a title in all three major languages: Survivor in Skaa and Sovereign in the Southern Tongue, with Thaidakar coming from Terris. It’s similar to him seemingly utilizing all three metallic arts and using a triple diamond symbol. Of course, if it is Terris, WHY Terris? And what does the word mean? Thoughts?
  13. Kelsier shrugged. “You sure? There’s nothing stopping me from killing you after we find the pub...”
  14. Kelsier smiled. “Great! Welcome to the team!” He removed her bonds, offering a hand to help her get up.
  15. Cute! She looks awesome! Here’s one of Kell and Kredik Shaw: Not complete obviously.
  16. Kelsier gazed thoughtfully at her, considering. “Well,” he said at last. “It seems your lack of attention has a benefit. You’ve earned a reprieve. Now, you’re going to show me where this tavern is.” He paused, sending a coin to lightly hit the trap. A moment later Priére entered. “Sorry for the wait,” Kelsier said apologetically. ”It was no imposition, Lord,” Priére assured him, handing over the spike. Kelsier smiled, holding it up to the light. “Excellent.” The threat was evident. Adrienne would obey, or she would die. Either served the Survivor’s purpose.
  17. “So I kill you, have a Kandra eat your body, and have someone both loyal and a half-decent actor do the meet.”
  18. “You’ve admitted that you don’t know who he is or what he looks like. He paid you in advance?”
  19. “No, the fact that you attacked me and haven’t given me a reason to keep you around means you’re now more useful dead.” He leaned forward, his smile dark. “Don’t you read the annotations, kid? I’m a psychopath. I like hurting people. You can’t make me feel guilty. ”So I suggest you stop trying.”
  20. “I could send you to Roshar to kill Jasnah Kholin... If I was a complete idiot. You’ve given me no reason to trust you kid, nor your abilities - or lack thereof. And you’ve been touched by the Dragon-lady, which makes me even less inclined to let you wander.”
  21. “At this point?” Kelsier grinned. “Probably not. But you have ‘til Priére gets back to try.”
