“I am Master Thaidakar,” Kelsier acknowledged. “So what can you tell me about Roshar four years ago?”

Kelsier smirked. “Do you know who we are?”

Kelsier smiled. “What is your name,” he asked abruptly, “and what others do you use?” ”Master Thaidakar,” Roues interjected, “she came from Roshar she could know about events there. Maybe tell us something about the branch there.” The Survivor nodded. “Good point. Let her answer me first: then you can ask.”

Kelsier nodded. “And which of Brandon Sanderson’s books have you read?”

Kelsier smirked and sent Verity fluttering on to Adrienne’s shoulder. “What year was it on Earth when you came to Scadrial Adrienne?”

“Sorry about that,” Kelsier said lightly, settling himself backwards in a chair. “Hemalurgy’s a messy business.”

Priére and Aiguilles climbed down the ladder after her, the latter locking the trap behind him. Once down, Aiguilles made to tie Adrienne up again.

“Yes,” Priére said kindly but firmly. “You are.”

Kelsier smirked, eye hard behind the obscuring lenses. “That’s up to you, isn’t it?” He leaped down into the cellar, slowing himself with a slight push. Roues followed. Priére and Aguilles waited above, watching Adrienne.

The Ghostbloods didn’t answer, instead leading her toward the basement. Priére was waiting inside, next to the cellar entrance. A moment later Kelsier landed behind Aiguilles, reaching up to close the door. ”Shall we,” he said, gesturing at the cellar.

A few minutes later Roues parked the vehicle near a nondescript shop. Aiguilles untied Adrienne as Roues opened the car door for her. At the house: Kelsier spoke briefly with his Ghostbloods, then turned to his guests. “I need to take care of a few things. Hoblim, this is Braiser. He’s the one to talk to about your dietary needs. Everyone else, this is Foullet. She’s the one you’ll want to talk to about the same.” With that he left, double checking to ensure the protections were still active. Then he leapt into the air, heading across town to see the would-be assailant.

Aiguilles tied her hands tightly and expertly as Roues began driving them to interrogation.

Aiguilles followed her into the back, withdrawing a silken rope from his pocket. “Hands.” He ordered, as Roues started the engine. The remaining Ghostbloods returned to the house.

“That is up to Master Thaidakar,” Trésor said, her voice ice. Roues and Foullet returned with the car. “Get in,” Aiguilles ordered, as the female chef exited. “You will sit in the back.”

“You do not need to know,” Aiguilles said coldly, satisfied that there were no hidden weapons. “Braiser?” The chef took hold of Adrienne, and brought them both to the ground. Roues leapt down beside him. The two women and Aiguilles rappelled down. ”I’ll get the car,” Roues said, heading toward the garage. Foullet went with him, heeding Master Thaidakar’s directive.

The Ghostbloods immediately cocked their weapons. “You understand,” Aiguilles said coldly, as he handed the weapons to Trésor, “we cannot take your word for this?” He began patting Adrienne down.

The Ghostbloods nodded as Aiguilles stepped forward. “You will be checked for weapons,” the tailor said. “Then we will escort you elsewhere to continue this.”

“By whom?” Braiser demanded. Do you want us to kill her? Trésor sent their master. Not yet, Kelsier replied. Pat her down and get her to an interrogation room. Aiguilles and Roues can escort her. I’ll have Priére meet you. I want to speak to her with Verity.

“Give it to us anyway,” Foullet ordered. ”And then explain why you attacked,” Aiguilles added coldly, wooden darts held lightly between his fingers. Seven of Spears

The five Ghostbloods glowered at her, keeping their weapons ready. ”Who are you?” Roues repeated.

Roues pulled it toward his steel plate without a thought. He raised his gun and shot. Braiser appeared behind the assailant, pushing his own coin at her. Aiguilles used his sudden strength to leap at the wall of the building, bouncing to its neighbor, than back on an upward trajectory. Trésor peaked over the lip of the roof and fired the aluminum gun at the attacker. Foullet doused her tin just as the guns went off, then resumed burning to fire a wrist mounted crossbow.

“Trésor will teach you braille,” Kelsier reassured her. “Reading words is easier with one eye or the other. Once you’re used to your sight we can work on focusing only on half the information.”

Roues moves silently across the roof, obsidian knife concealed in his sleeve. “Who are you,” he called. Below, Braiser prepared to push himself to the roof and Aiguilles frail frame began to bulk up. Foullet listened carefully fully, even as she began scaling the neighboring building with Trésor.

I am rather disappointed no seems to have noticed the joke... In other news: did any one expect corrupted cryptics to be imaginary numbers?
