  1. The hits all came from Hoid, not Mraize. And they mean far more to us than to Shallan. And Brandon wouldn’t do that to us. Lord of Scars is blatant enough to spoil people who have only read Era 1; he isn’t going to that for a cheap trick. He’d have been more subtle and said something only someone who had already read both Eras would know - like calling Thaidakar ‘Spike Eye’.
  2. Hoid will definitely be in the Endgame because he’s slated to be a major character in MB4. Kell is a bigger question; he’ll survive until Era 3 (because he’s slated to appear) but Brandon hasn’t hinted as to what happens after. I think the GBs are less likely to be evil than they are to be morally ambiguous and pro-Scadrial. Kell himself tends to be pro-Scadrial and endgame IS Mistborn, so if he survives to the end he’ll probably be on the protagonists side - or, at least, Scadrial’s.
  3. Lol! Yes. I was thinking warnings behind warnings; spoilers behind spoilers. There is always another spoiler.
  4. I don’t think Harmony will intervene so long as Kell is stable. If Kelsier starts losing it THEN he will intervene - because it’s what Kell would want. Kelsier is afraid of losing himself; it’s part of why he didn’t go Beyond. Honestly, I think he’s scared - and that’s not something that happens often and not something he deals with well. Desperate men do desperate things, after all. The GBs are totally Kell’s MO. It’s why so many theorized he was behind them. It always FELT like something he would be behind. That said, certain things they do are things he’d disagree with. The way Mraize went about recruiting Shallan was an almost perfect inverse of the way Kell recruited Vin. I suspect Kell will be annoyed; Mraize’s folly cost the GBs a potent ally and created a dangerous enemy. That was just stupid. He also wouldn’t be happy about Lift, because good people who try to do good are something Kell seeks to preserve - and I don’t think the latter word was an accident. Brandon knows how our heads work, lol!
  5. Phoenix Wright? OBJECTION!!
  6. Then in the next one I want to do Thaidakar.
  7. Actually, Felt stuck around. Which I suspect may be rather important considering who Thaidakar is heavily implied to be. He’s either going to be our info dump or a sleeper agent. Or both!
  8. They might on Brandon’s store.
  9. May I join? I’ll take Kell. Also, when can we use Rhythm of War material?
  10. Venture is actually from the Northern Dominance. Kell and Marsh are from the Western one. So yes, it’s almost impossible for them to be Ventures. One of the reasons I go with Elariel is that the family has relatives in Fadrex City, so there is some Western connection.
  11. At this point Kell is more likely to appear than his brother... But things definitely seem to be headed toward a Mistborn/Stormlight collide.
  12. This was my theory. I was thinking he could pick someone like Moash or Mraize, inform Dalinar, then ensure that the Champion runs into Kaladin/Shallan before either is aware of the choice. Dalinar, honorable man that he is, would acknowledge his responsibility to the detriment of all.
  13. As evidenced by the trouble he’s causing on Roshar, one of those Mistborn people didn’t actually die. But, yes, I do know what you mean. I don’t know that I agree that Teft’s particular death was necessary, so much as that someone’s death was necessary.
  14. To make this better, I think there’s an annotation that states their father killed their mother. I’ve theorized that their father was an Obligator who killed his wife and then himself. It’s the only thing that even remotely lines up with everything we know.
  15. LotR is really one big book that got divided into three.
  16. If you don’t know then you haven’t read them, lol. It’s the Histories of Middle Earth. There are currently thirteen volumes. Tolkien wrote a LOT more than LotR. (And the next person who says Tolkien didn’t do grim-dark has to read the Narn I Hin Hurin.)
  17. WoK, WoR, O, RoW No, but KoW finishes the ketek and Brandon has said he plans to see if he can do it.
  18. Yes, I have! And the Silmarillion! And some of HOME. My fave are the Lays of Beleriand and Morgoth’s Ring. TPBM has NOT read all of HOME.
  19. Yes... because I’ve been writing papers for psychology classes. Everything is ‘this could mean’ ‘this may indicate’. Nothing is absolute.
  20. I’m the eldest of three. Guess I can join.
  21. They’re great and I’d totally be interested!
  22. RAFO! (Seriously, Brandon is holding out on us here.)
  23. Hoid should be around in Era 4. Kell might be. Sixth of the Dusk and Vathi could be as well, as they are from that time period.
